Baby Gaetz is on the way as Matt Gaetz wife reveals she's pregnant with couple's first child
and his wife are expecting their first child, Ginger Gaetz announced on social media Tuesday.
The mom-to-be posted a photograph of her baby bump, dressed in white, next to her husband who was wearing what appeared to be a black velour sweatshirt, holding an ultrasound print.
Ginger posted the photo with the caption 'Baby Gaetz coming 2025 ✨.'
The pair tied the knot in an intimate elopement ceremony on Catalina Island in California back in August of 2021.
The couple got engaged at President Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago club in Florida in 2020.
The former firebrand Florida Representative resigned from Congress last year after he was briefly nominated to serve as President Donald Trump 's attorney general following the 2024 presidential election.
Gaetz's nomination was withdrawn by the White House after he received pushback from a number of senators, including members of his own party, who were irked by allegations he paid underage women for sex. Gaetz denied the claims and was never charged with a crime.

A number of Matt Gaetz' former Capitol Hill colleagues piled on the congratulations, replying to Ginger's post on X.
South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace wrote 'Congratulations Mama' in all caps.

Former Texas Congresswoman Mayra Flores also celebrated 'this beautiful blessing.'
Congratulations to you both on this beautiful blessing.

The Gaetz baby-in-waiting also caught the attention of world leaders.
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele's Minister of Housing Michelle Sol also posted her congratulations to the couple.
Gracias Michelle!! God is good 🙏🏼

During his time in Congress, Gaetz was a founder of the El Salvador Caucus, currently led by fellow Floridian Ana Paulina Luna.
In a text conversation with his mother which was filmed while Gaetz was on an airplane, the father-to-be revealed that he has a son on the way.
'I'm a happily married man with a son on the way, two penthouse condos, a 1:1 real estate asset to debt ratio' Gaetz wrote in one of the text.
After Gaetz departed Congress, his seat was filled by former Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.
Ginger's sister Roxanne Luckey once described the former Florida congressman as 'weird and creepy' and said she was 'unfortunately not surprised' at his being investigated for sex crimes.
In a string of TikTok videos, Roxanne criticized Gaetz, saying that she spent the summer of 2020 in Washington DC working as a White House intern, and was uncomfortable with him from the start.
'As someone who has personally experienced a ton of creepy old politician men hitting on me when I was underage, and experiencing sexual assault at that age by people of power, it's very disheartening,' she said.
'And I have zero tolerance of people like him.'
She added that she is 'tired of them getting away with this type of stuff.'

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is expected to be released from jail only to be taken into immigration custody
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is expected to be released from jail in Tennessee on Wednesday, only to be taken into immigration custody. The Salvadoran national whose mistaken deportation became a flashpoint in the fight over President Donald Trump's immigration policies has been in jail since he was returned to the U.S. on June 7, facing two counts of human smuggling. On Sunday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes ruled that Abrego Garcia does not have to remain in jail ahead of that trial. On Wednesday afternoon, she will set his conditions of release and allow him to go, according to her order. However, both his defense attorneys and prosecutors have said they expect him to be taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as soon as he is released on the criminal charges. In addition, federal prosecutors are appealing Holmes' release order. Among other things, they expressed concern in a motion filed on Sunday that Abrego Garcia could be deported before he faces trial. Holmes has said previously that she won't step between the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. It is up to them to decide whether they want to deport Abrego Garcia or prosecute him. Abrego Garcia pleaded not guilty on June 13 to smuggling charges that his attorneys have characterized as an attempt to justify his mistaken deportation in March to a notorious prison in El Salvador. Those charges stem from a 2022 traffic stop for speeding in Tennessee during which Abrego Garcia was driving a vehicle with nine passengers. At his detention hearing, Homeland Security Special Agent Peter Joseph testified that he did not begin investigating Abrego Garcia until April of this year. Holmes said in her Sunday ruling that federal prosecutors failed to show that Abrego Garcia was a flight risk or a danger to the community. He has lived for more than a decade in Maryland, where he and his American wife are raising three children. However, Holmes referred to her own ruling as 'little more than an academic exercise,' noting that ICE plans to detain him. It is less clear what will happen after that. Although he can't be deported to El Salvador — where an immigration judge found he faces a credible threat from gangs — he is still deportable to a third country as long as that country agrees to not send him to El Salvador.

Zohran Mamdani: Socialist wins New York City's Democratic mayoral primary in shock result
A self-described socialist has won New York City's Democratic mayoral primary. Zohran Mamdani is a 33-year-old state lawmaker - and ran a campaign that was laser-focused on the high cost of living. Slickly produced social media videos set out his vision of free buses, free childcare, new apartments and a higher minimum wage - paid for by new taxes on the rich. If elected when voters head to the polls in November, he would be the city's first Muslim and Indian mayor. The primary result is a blow for former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who was attempting to make a political comeback from a sexual harassment scandal. He had been a firm favourite throughout the race because of his deep experience, but Mr Mamdani had won the support of the party's progressive wing. Current mayor Eric Adams is set to run as an independent following an uproar over his indictment on corruption charges. Mr Cuomo confirmed he has conceded to his Democratic rival, adding: "We are going to take a look and make some tough decisions. Tonight is his night." Votes are still being counted - and the outcome of this race could indicate the type of leader Democrats are looking for during Donald Trump's second term. Mr Mamdani attracted endorsements from prominent progressives including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Bernie Sanders. But critics have argued that he lacks the experience to handle crises, with Mr Cuomo claiming he was unqualified during the campaign.
