Cieran Slicker endures nightmare start for Scotland as Steve Clarke's men suffer TWO major blunders against Iceland
GOALKEEPER Cieran Slicker's debut for Scotland could not have got off to a worse start against Iceland.
The Ipswich Town shot-stopper replaced the injured Angus Gunn as Steve Clarke's men were forced into an early change in the June friendly.

Gunn, who is looking for a new club after being released by Norwich City, went off following a seemingly innocuous challenge after just a few minutes.
It meant Clarke had to turn to his bench.
And, a few minutes later, Slicker was forced to pick the ball out of his net with one of his first touches, as his dream moment turned into a nightmare.
Andri Gudjohnsen capitalised on the goalkeeper's slack pass out, rifling the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box to give the visitors the lead on eight minutes.
That mistake clearly dented the 22-year-old's confidence as he needlessly gave the ball away just minutes later before enduring a few other nervy moments.
A few shakes of the head after the goal showed his frustration, with his arm going up to his team-mates to acknowledge his mistake.
Scotland's next match is against Liechtenstein on Monday before going into the World Cup qualifiers in September.
And on this evidence of this display, it is going to have to be a vastly improved performance.
Clarke gave debut starts to Max Johnston, fresh from winning the Austrian Bundesliga with Sturm Graz, and striker George Hirst, while Kieran Tierney earned his 50th cap.
John Souttar levelled for Scotland half way through the first half, converting Johnston's corner with a header.

But the Scots conceded again in calamitous fashion just before the break.
An Iceland corner was not properly dealt with by the defence.
The ball cannoned off Souttar inside the six-yard box and then Ferguson, with Slicker not covering himself in glory as the ball crept over the line.
Incredibly, it went bad to worse for Slicker as Iceland made it three and it was another goalkeeping howler.

Why are England playing World Cup qualifier against Andorra in Spain today?
5-0 was also the most recent scoreline between these two, when the Three Lions, then under Gareth Southgate's reign, travelled to Andorra in 2021 for the previous edition of World Cup qualifying.

Saka joins two England stars left out of Tuchel's squad for Andorra clash
England will be without Bukayo Saka when they take on Andorra on Saturday as the Arsenal winger joins a list of unavailable players that features Ollie Watkins Bukayo Saka has been left out of the England squad that will face Andorra on Saturday as fitness issues continue to hamper the Arsenal man and several of his colleagues in the Three Lions camp. England will continue their World Cup qualifying campaign but Thomas Tuchel will be without his winger, who had become a mainstay under the previous regime. The German confirmed on Friday that Saka had only completed one full training session during the week. He joins an absentee list that also includes Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins. The latter has returned home with a minor injury, reports the BBC. Saka, who has won 43 caps for his country, is yet to play for England under Tuchel and it is unclear whether he'll return for the friendly against Senegal in three days. The Arsenal star missed three months of action between December and April with a hamstring injury. A number of Tuchel's England stars will be heading off to the Club World Cup shortly after their England commitments. Five of the squad will represent Chelsea whilst Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham will also be in action. Despite that the former Chelsea and PSG boss has been under no pressure to keep certain individuals wrapped up in cotton wool. 'No coach has called me and there was no request from the FA,' Tuchel said. 'We know the clubs have a lot of matches and the players go after to he Club World Cup. It can also happen that some players start twice for us but we have an interest to see a lot of players, so I think we will not upset anyone." Tuchel has also warned England fans not to "over expect" when they play Andorra, who are ranked 173rd in the world football. The expectation will be for a routine win with several goals, which would strengthen England's spot in Group K after two wins. However the German said: "It will be on us to get going. It is on us to keep the tempo high, it is on us to bring the energy to the pitch. It is on us to bring the attacking energy to the pitch and to do this in a relentless way. "The players come from a long and tiring season and then again accepting the role to be responsible for the majority of the game. It can be demanding, but at the same time it is what I feel from the group - they are happy to be here, happy to show."

Wales will go on the attack in Belgium, says Craig Bellamy
His side coasted to a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein, the world's 205th ranked team, as second-half goals from Harry Wilson and Kieffer Moore added to Joe Rodon's 39th-minute opener. It was defender Rodon's first international goal and Wales had complete domination of a one-sided contest with 27 goal attempts to zero. Wales face a far tougher challenge in Brussels, although they did have the bonus of Belgium being held 1-1 in North Macedonia on Friday night, thanks to a late home equaliser. Bellamy said: 'We go there and I'm not camping. I'm not sitting back. It's not in my make-up. I can't do it, I don't want to do it. 'I've got a little bit more in my head, but I'm really excited about it. I'll try and absorb this one but then, yeah, get ready for that.' Victory took Wales to the top of their World Cup qualifying section with seven points from three games – but Bellamy could not resist a dig at the Welsh ball boys on the perimeter of the pitch. 'There is a lot I liked,' said Bellamy. 'I'd really like us to make this six, seven, eight. That's what we need to push. 'These games have never been easy four our nation. We have a proven record of that. 'The mentality of the players was really good. Did we expect to win? Of course we did. Did we expect such a slow game? 'I felt our ball boys could have been a bit quicker. We are at home so we have a choice in that as well. 'I'm going to be looking for them in a bit – I'm not. I'm joking!' Victory came at a price as Neco Williams, one of Wales' best performers since Bellamy took charge last summer, was forced off midway through the first half with a nasty-looking injury. The Nottingham Forest full-back, in trying to cross on the byline midway through the first half, landed awkwardly and was in obvious pain before leaving the field on a stretcher. Williams appears a serious doubt for Monday's clash with Belgium. 'Give us a few hours,' said Bellamy. 'We just don't know. We'll find out tomorrow morning (Saturday). 'The medical staff will be racing with it, we'll make sure he's looked after. 'We'll find more and relay that message as soon as we know.'
