Housing Ministry and Eskan Bank Secure Platinum Sponsorships for Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025
Manama: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank have signed platinum sponsorship agreements for the upcoming Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025. The event will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, from April 23-25 at Exhibition World Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in promoting innovative social housing solutions and expanding financing and real estate options for beneficiaries. She noted that the summit builds on national efforts to improve housing services through closer cooperation with the private sector.
The agreements were signed with senior executives representing sponsoring institutions, including Usman Ahmed, Group Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB); Fatema Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB); Yaser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK); Ahmed Ali Alammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq; Yousif Bucheeri, Chief Executive Officer of Bareeq Al Retaj; and Abdullah Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Dilmunia Gateway.
The Minister expressed appreciation to all participating partners, noting their commitment to innovation and belief in the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing Bahrain's social housing sector. She added that the next phase will witness expanded opportunities for private sector participation in delivering housing services, in coordination with Eskan Bank, through the implementation of outcomes and recommendations emerging from the summit and its accompanying exhibition.
NBB Group CEO emphasised the importance of the summit's focus areas in developing the social housing sector. He underscored the bank's commitment to corporate social responsibility and supporting national development through public-private cooperation.
Al Alawi highlighted BisB's support for the summit as part of its efforts to provide innovative housing solutions that align with government housing strategies.
Alsharifi underscored the bank's commitment to backing national community initiatives and expressed pride in contributing to the event's discussions to promote a more inclusive and sustainable future for social housing.
Alammadi emphasised Diyar Al Muharraq's pride in supporting the event, which supports forward-looking thinking and innovation in urban development.
Bucheeri emphasised Bareeq Al Retaj's commitment to advancing innovative real estate initiatives and its priority in participating in dynamic platforms that promote knowledge exchange.
CEO of Dilmunia Gateway reiterated the company's commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at improving housing standards and access through innovative real estate solutions aligned with the objectives of the conference.
The Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025 will bring together key local, regional, and international stakeholders to discuss topics including cutting-edge construction designs and technologies, investment opportunities for the private sector in social housing, community-driven housing programmes, legal and regulatory frameworks, and sustainable urban land use.
The accompanying exhibition will showcase the latest real estate projects from developers and financing institutions offering 'Tas'heel' and 'Mazaya – New Category' schemes.
Citizens will have the opportunity to explore available projects, financing offers, and dedicated pavilions of the Ministry and Eskan Bank.
