TikToker Who Slammed 'Boring' N.Y.C. Influencers Claims She Got Fired from Job Over Viral Rant
After slamming N.Y.C. influencers for being "boring" in a video uploaded on March 7, TikTok user @martinifeeny shared an unfortunate update with her followers about one month later.
In the TikTok video posted on April 3, user @martinifeeny — who revealed her real name is actually Bridget — said that she lost her job after the original video was posted. She shared the news in response to a comment from another TikTok user.
"Don't let them bully you... acquired style felt seen by this so you're absolutely correct," read the comment she was responding to in her recent upload. (@acquiredstyle is the username of a popular N.Y.C. influencer Brigette Pheloung).
Bridget explained in the clip, "Do you guys want to know what's crazy? Yeah, I lost my job because of that original video. I worked for the biggest luxury fashion brand in the world." She adds, "That's why I was bored because they're obsessed with those girls."

"It's crazy, it's like the only people they work with," the TikToker continued. "But yeah, god forbid you like speak your mind to your 90 followers at the time. You get clipped... crazy right? Anyway, stay boring I guess. Because if you're not and you speak your mind, clipped! Done!"
Although she didn't explain why she was fired, Bridget teased she'd "be happy to share" more details in future posts.
Bridget (@martinifeeny) and Pheloung (@acquiredstyle) didn't immediately reply to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Drama swirled online after Bridget posted the original video calling out N.Y.C. influencers. "Im SOOO bored by all these influencers lol," she captioned the clip of her rant.
While she didn't explicitly mention any influencers by name, social media users began to connect the dots.

"All right, guys, I'm just gonna say it, I hate all of the New York influencers, I think they're all boring as f--- and they're all carbon copies of one another. They all wear the same exact f------ bracelet. They all have the same exact f------ hand chain that someone else influenced them to get," she said in the video.
Though she added a disclaimer of "no hate," Bridget proceeded to call out the influencers for being "basic" and buying clothes from the same places. "I feel like they should be the influencees, not the influencers," she added.
"I don't know, not even the New York ones. Just like all … these girls. They all get panic attacks. They all shop at Revolve," the original clip concluded. "Yeah, boring. Let me know if anyone agrees."

Users quickly let their opinions be known as they flooded her comment section. Bridget not only started a conversation on her post, but opened the topic up for discussion across social media and beyond.
Some influencers who felt singled out even responded directly — Pheloung being one of them, stitching the rant in a since-deleted video that saw the 27-year-old creator silently mocking the original. She has 1.5 million followers on TikTok and upwards of 798,000 Instagram followers.
After Bridget's hot take on "boring" N.Y.C. influencers took social media by storm, she spoke with Vulture about the shocking response she didn't expect to receive upon posting the video to her platform of "like 90 followers" (which has since grown to over 4.4K followers to date).

Beyoncé's Pants Fall Down On Cowboy Carter Tour
Last week, Beyoncé's much-anticipated Cowboy Carter tour finally stopped in London. One of her many outfit changes was a shimmery gold bodysuit with matching chaps and gold high-heeled boots, but things went horribly wrong when Beyoncé's pants became undone while performing "I'm That Girl." In a video shared to TikTok, Beyoncé is seen stomping her foot to the beat when her pants suddenly fall down. She seemed to laugh as she slowly dipped to the floor to pick them up, all while staying perfectly on beat. One of her dancers then rushed over to help her secure the pants as Beyoncé held them in place. After a few seconds, the dancer was able to get them fastened as Beyoncé moved on to the next part of the song. Like me, people were shocked and amazed by her "professionalism" and also by her "genius dancers." Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything less. You can watch the full moment here.

Olivia Munn Doesn't Let Her Kids Watch Ms. Rachel
Olivia Munn won't let her kids watch Ms. Rachel. In an interview with People, the Your Friends & Neighbors actor shared why she doesn't let her children watch Ms. Rachel's videos or most children's programs, and it's pretty reasonable. Ms. Rachel is a popular YouTuber and Netflix star, famous for making videos that help kids with language development. Olivia has two children, whom she shares with husband John Mulaney — Malcolm, 3, and Méi, 8 months. "I know kids love [Ms. Rachel], but the thing is, if I can't watch it, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life going crazy," Olivia said. "These kid shows drive me crazy." For Olivia, it's not just Ms. Rachel. She's not here for most cartoons in the household. "Malcolm asked for Blue's Clues [recently], and I don't know who showed him Blue's Clues, but they are on my shit list now," Olivia said. "I said, 'Hell no. Not in my house.'" Olivia described how John got Malcolm into the Spider-Man cartoons, which she didn't find "interesting." Her preference is the updated live-action movies. "I put on Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Homecoming and was like, 'If you want to watch the real-life ones, then we can watch that.' It might be a little too old for him, but I can't take the cartoons." But don't worry. There's at least one children's show that makes the cut with Mama Olivia, and that's the PBS children's show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood for one specific reason. She believes it's a "great program" because it was vital in helping Malcolm understand what it's like to become a big brother to Méi, who was welcomed via surrogate last September. "Daniel Tiger has a little sister, and we'd tell him, 'There's a baby sister coming,'" Olivia said. Even though the typical children's programming might not be on the television when Olivia's around, she's found a system that works for their family. Talking with People, she said when she first introduced Méi to her big brother, she and John made a point not to "change his world and indentity and responsiblities." "A lot of times people will be like, 'Oh, you're a big brother now. You're not the baby anymore. Now you can help mommy get the diapers.' So, all of a sudden, he has all these responsibilities, and he doesn't just get to be carefree anymore," Olivia added. "Instead, we would say, 'Now we have two babies. There's baby Méi Méi and baby Malcolm.'" In the interview, Olivia shared that she and John focus on providing their children equal attention, so, in my opinion, it makes sense that she might not want to throw that balance off with too much Ms. Rachel and animated Spider-Man. Olivia said about her 3-year-old son, "He would say, 'Mommy, come over here. Daddy, come over here,' and if we were holding the baby, we would put her down so that he wouldn't feel that all of a sudden now we can't be there for him." "It's not that we were trying to teach him that everything he says goes, but we wanted him to have the transition with her to know that we're still here whenever he needs us. Then, eventually when he'd say, 'Put Méi Méi down,' we'd say, 'No, she wants to see her mommy too.' He smiles, and he understands," Olivia said. It sounds like Olivia has a system down, and Ms. Rachel (as popular as she may be) might not be for every family. And to be honest, I support Olivia keeping cartoons outside of the house for now, especially when her husband is literally part of a cartoon series that has scenes like this: And this: Perhaps they should wait until Malcolm and Méi are full-grown adults before they start showing them cartoons, in case they become interested in their dad's show. Woman Left Sobbing After Seeing What Her Terrified Rescue Dog Does
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. What a pet parent captured her rescue dog doing for the very first time after two years together brought TikTok users to tears. Owner Christina Craddick and her husband adopted their dog Norman about two years ago in Los Angeles. Originally from Korea, Norman was rescued from a meat market. He was chained up outside and abused before being saved. But despite his new life with the couple, he was still terrified, especially of her husband. "For the first few months of us adopting him, Norman wouldn't even leave his bed unless he was using the bathroom or eating," Craddick told Newsweek via TikTok. They had learned that it would take time for Norman to trust humans again, and with them, there was no rush. But a May 21 video posted to Craddick's TikTok account, @christinancraddick, showed Norman turning over a new leaf. For the first time since being adopted, Norman snuggled with Craddick's husband. She walked into the bedroom to find their dog in bed next to her husband, cuddling. Norman's head rested on her husband's shoulder. Her husband leaned over and kissed him on the head. The dog didn't flinch. He accepted the love, knowing he was finally safe and sound. The caption reads: "I ugly sobbed this is all I ever need." "He'll actually jump on the bed now to hang out with him when I'm not there, which is REALLY big for him," she said. Viewer Reactions TikTok viewers joined Craddick in sobbing happy tears, knowing Norman finally feels comfortable after two years. The clip reached over 369,500 views and 99,500 likes as of Thursday. "He's finally safe, and he knows it," wrote one user, while another added: "That's a pup that knows he's loved & safe." A third person commented: "Girl, we ugly sobbing together. This is so beautiful to see." Others shared how this should also be a sign for her and her choice in partner: "Girl if this isn't the GREENEST OF GREEN FLAGS idk what is." Someone else chimed in: "This is proof you picked the right man for this baby to feel so safe." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
