WWE Raw results, highlights (Feb. 24): Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez regain Women's Tag Team titles
Some episodes of "WWE Raw" focus heavily on promo work, while others deliver in the ring. Tonight's? It leaned toward the latter.
In Cincinnati, Ohio, the Women's Tag Team and Intercontinental titles were on the line, and we continued to get more Elimination Chamber teases. The men's most notable champions, Gunther and Bron Breakker, were also in action, while we got a slapper of a triple-threat match. And to close out the night, one duo began their third championship reign...
Faithful Uncrowned readers probably know by now where I stand on both storylines involving The Judgment Day and the Women's Tag Team champions — they both have worn out their welcome and need to end, meaning The Judgment Day dissolves and this Bianca Belair/Naomi/Jade Cargill triangle finally gets resolved. That sounds like a triple-threat recipe for success at WrestleMania 41 if you ask me.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez finally got matching gear and it paid off as they won the titles from Belair and Naomi in Monday's main event. Dominick Mysterio's involvement hurt this match a lot for me because it was absolutely stellar without him. The near-falls were crazy — honestly, Belair looked a tad too superhuman by surviving that Super Codebreaker. Morgan took a massive KOD toward the end, then a double KOD. That was the finish if the Codebreaker wasn't — but of course, Mysterio blatantly propped Morgan's foot on the rope right in front of the referee, who somehow didn't see it.

This booking feels so lost, frankly, on both sides of the coin. Cargill has to return at either Saturday's Elimination Chamber or WrestleMania 41 at this point. It should've happened when Tiffany Stratton cashed in to become the WWE Women's Champion, which was before the Royal Rumble. I don't know. This was a great main-event match with a poor added element that left us with very little clear direction.
There are several better ways to open a "WWE Raw" than with Logan Paul. However, when in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Clevelander had to make his voice heard as soon as possible.
I'm about to sound like an old man shouting at the clouds here, but after all these years of watching wrestling, I'm over heels bashing the crowd. It's one of the oldest, lamest troupes in the book. It's the cheapest heel tactic and heat generator in the book, and I get it. It's easy and continuous "practice" for a guy like Paul.
While the start of the promo wasn't anything special, Paul gained steam on the microphone when he had his dance partner CM Punk arrive.
BIG. MISTAKE.Logan Paul just SLAPPED CM Punk!Good thing they'll be in the ring again this Saturday at #WWEChamber... pic.twitter.com/kAIIGZrUr4
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
After all that's transpired with WWE's recent booking, I started worrying that Paul vs. Punk is in the cards for WrestleMania 41. It still could be very well, but their banter on this show made me lean towards a fun mini-program within the Elimination Chamber looming (which is the right call).
Paul asked Punk why he didn't like him, which led to Punk rebuking the claims since he doesn't even know Paul. It was a clash of new vs. old, obviously. When Paul had nothing left to say (shocker) or top Punk with, he slapped the former world champion and dipped out. This was perfectly effective heeling.
(Isn't it weird to think these two could have realistically had an MMA fight or boxing match if timelines were slightly shifted?)
Triple-threat matches can do no wrong. You give me one like Penta vs. Ludwig Kaiser vs. Pete Dunne, and I'm the happiest camper. Congrats to these three for earning one of our most prestigious weekly awards here at Uncrowned
Monday Night PENTA#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/PIyyqpdT1W
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
Penta's entrance may legitimately already be the best in WWE. This match kicked all the asses, and it was technically Penta's first WWE loss because Kaiser got the pin on Dunne. I'd have been much more upset about Dunne taking the loss, but he's already been buried, so what's a little more dirt? And a win for Kaiser, especially in this match, is great for him. Penta has already beaten them both in singles matches, making it purely a beautiful car crash.
There were too many awesome spots to list, but this was a blast. I'm still unsure what this means for everyone because there's no real substance between them.
We don't see Gunther in action on "WWE Raw" as often as we used to. However, he felt like putting on a show with a handpicked opponent, who wound up being the...
When Gunther entered the arena earlier in the night, The Alpha Academy was doing their TikTok shenanigans as a little precursor. So, he chose Akira Tozawa, of course.
Although this was essentially a squash match, it was excellent. The Alpha Academy — Tozawa, in particular — really shined.
Who knew TOZAWA had the dog in him?!#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/M7j2CPOKaT
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
Gunther asked for Tozawa to earn his respect and then presumably went on to do so as he sold the ever-loving hell out of this match. Gunther booted and chopped him out of his body. The Gunther powerbowb won it, and Otis, thankfully, came in to make the save from a continued Tozawa beatdown.
Uso, of course, had to eventually save both men, but this was an excellent overall display for the World Heavyweight Champion. He wouldn't have been able to do it without The Alpha Academy, though.
Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai are a pair of wrestlers who just gel perfectly.
Their Women's Intercontinental Championship rematch was probably better than the first to determine the inaugural champion. They hit big crazy spots that ranged from a superplex, a nasty apron slam to Valkyria, and a great bridge pin escape sequence. I initially felt Valkyria's selling was showcased in the match, but by the end, Kai had shown the same degree of excellence.
Women's Intercontinental Title on the line on #WWERaw! pic.twitter.com/H2f5iK90JZ
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
Valkyria rightfully got the win in defense with the Nightwing. Ivy Nile attacked both after, which was whatever. I'll gladly take a triple threat next.
1. Rhea Ripley cut a great promo in a crowd interview. This was excellent work from the Women's World Champion to hype her Iyo Sky title match next week. I still wish this was put together better. The match feels like a booking decision made just to make it rather than the big build to WrestleMania it deserved — especially with Ripley mentioning that she's never beaten Sky.
2. Carlito had a yellow apple. He was happy about it. This dude is purely a part of The Judgment Day for comic relief, and I'm here for it.
3. There was a Sami Zayn backstage interview video discussing what's been happening with Kevin Owens. I liked how Zayn spoke about going to Owens' house after Owens was seen spying on him in his last video. The cool part was that no footage was shown, making it feel more realistic and serious. Zayn noted how unhappy he was to be stooping to such levels, each involving their families. Quality all around (except for some camera work I'll mention below).
It's deeply personal.It's UNSANCTIONED.And it's this Saturday at #WWEChamber.OWENS. ZAYN. THE NEXT CHAPTER. pic.twitter.com/2UwFZm55Ey
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
4. It was brief but great seeing Cody Rhodes confronted by Seth Rollins after Rhodes' awkward request from The Rock on the last "WWE SmackDown." Rollins was bewildered by Rhodes considering anything from The Rock after he reminded Rhodes of their history literally a year ago. It was excellent callback work, and Rhodes called Rollins judgmental while reminding him of his own untrustworthy history.
Rollins revisited the Rhodes rivalry and how he lost every match, and he said he would win the Elimination Chamber to face Rhodes at WrestleMania. Obviously, these guys have always been magic together and were once again. Rollins has been the perspective of the die-hard WWE fan lately, and it's brilliant stuff.
"Don't make me HATE you, Cody Rhodes!"#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/MFQcuNG0pM
— WWE (@WWE) February 25, 2025
1. The New Day defeated the LWO in a solid match. They're finally gaining momentum since their heel turn, and the tag team title picture could use some freshness. Let's get them in the mix soon. Unfortunately, their post-match beatdown forced Dragon Lee to come out and seemingly keep the feud going — or put a cap on it. It's hard to tell.
1. The camera focusing on Jackie Redmond's expressions during the Zayn interview was hilariously goofy.
2. Bron Breakker defeated Dominick Mysterio via DQ when Finn Balor and Carlito interfered. Their match actually wasn't terrible while it lasted — but that wasn't long.
This is stupid, man. When there's a team that has members interfere with every single match, why the hell would they be allowed out at ringside? It's another troupe that I'm just over it. Expect an imminent free Balor title shot that he'll lose.
Mysterio also needs a different finisher than the 619. He can't deliver it nearly as good as his father, Rey Mysterio.
👑 I give this show a Crown score of: 8/10👑

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 predictions: Surprise cash in? John Cena no longer a heel?
WWE Money in the Bank 2025 predictions: Surprise cash in? John Cena no longer a heel? Show Caption Hide Caption John Cena warns media, he will ruin wrestling, he is the last real champion in WWE After making history at WrestleMania 41, John Cena warns the media that he will ruin wrestling and he is the last real champion in WWE What WWE fans know about Money in the Bank is that a men's and women's star will get a golden opportunity for a championship in the future. What fans don't know is who the lucky individual will be. The titular matches will headline the event taking place inside the Intuit Dome on Saturday. A chance to dramatically alter the WWE landscape awaits the winners. The field for the men's and women's matches offer intriguing storylines. Cases could be made for several to be the victor of each match. However, only two people will be able to climb the ladder and snag the briefcase. Outside of the Money in the Bank matches, the Women's Intercontinental Championship will be on the line, plus John Cena and Logan Paul team up to face Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. It's a small card with only four matches, but that leaves the door open for chaos. What will transpire at Money in the Bank? USA TODAY Sports' wrestling reporters offer their predictions: Women's Intercontinental Championship match: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch prediction Jordan Mendoza: Valkyria and Lynch run it back after their stellar performance at Backlash. This feud has been enjoyable to watch play out and Lynch has brought out more skills for Valkyria as a result. But can the champion get to 3-0 against "The Man?" Everything points to Lynch finally getting the best of her fellow countrywomen, and she'll probably cheat to do it. However, Valkyria pulls off another stunning finish to retain and remain perfect against Lynch. Winner: Lyra Valkyria. Richard Morin: Lynch is back for more after Valkyria beat her clean in the previous matchup. That can only mean one thing: Shenanigans. We still haven't seen Bayley, who Lynch took out at WrestleMania 41. I could see Bayley interfering with the aim of foiling Lynch, but she inadvertently costs Valkyria instead, setting up a three-way feud for the title down the road. Winner: Becky Lynch. Women's Money in the Bank match prediction Jordan Mendoza: One thing we do know is this match is going to steal the show. All six women are extremely talented and this one is tough to predict. Naomi seems to be the popular option, so I'll go a different route. Three fresh faces from NXT will be in this match, and it will be quite the entrance to the main roster if one of them bests the veterans, similar to Tiffany Stratton last year. After spending much of the match as a non-factor, "The Prodigy" adds another achievement in her young career and leaves with the briefcase in hand. Winner: Roxanne Perez. Richard Morin: This is a great lineup and I could see several different possibilities. Ultimately, I think the decision here is Naomi, whose new heel persona is working well. The emotionally-driven feud between Naomi, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill needs a world title thrown in the mix, and giving Naomi the briefcase will do just that. Winner: Naomi. Men's Money in the Bank match prediction Jordan Mendoza: A few contenders stand out in the men's match, but some craziness is bound to happen in this one, especially with Seth Rollins in the fold. While giving him the briefcase again certainly makes his new faction even more dangerous, expect some outside interference to prevent him from winning. That leaves the ladder open to Solo Sikoa and LA Knight. Both are in need of big breaks, but Sikoa powers through. Winner: Solo Sikoa. Richard Morin: Forgive the fantasy booking here but a strange lineup like this is going to require a strange outcome. If we assume Americano is really Chad Gable (he is) then Gable will have less than an hour before the show starts from the end of his match against El Hijo del Vikingo in the main event of Worlds Collide. A pre-match announcement states Americano is unable to participate (I predict he'll lose to Vikingo). His replacement is announced as CM Punk, which gets a huge pop from the crowd. Roman Reigns returns to foil Rollins in the match, reigniting their feud. Reigns is then engaged by Sikoa, allowing Punk to claim the contract. Winner: CM Punk. John Cena and Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso prediction Jordan Mendoza: Is this a match anyone wanted? Not really, but don't discount the fireworks that could happen in this one. If this match closes the show, something dramatic needs to happen. When it looks like Cena and Paul are closing in on victory, Cena stops his partner from cheating. After spending months as a heel, Cena finally has a change of heart and goes back to the crowd-loving champion he has always been. He allows Paul to take the loss, and after shaking hands with Rhodes and Uso, The Rock emerges, setting the stage for his return to the ring. Winner: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Richard Morin: Many are confused by this match's presence on the card. If it closes the show, there's no reason for confusion. Having both champions in the ring at the same time is a perfect opportunity for a cash-in attempt (if this is not the main event, throw this prediction out the window). CM Punk, who I have as the surprise MITB winner, said Monday to Cena that he would "pick the bones...," and that's exactly what he'll do against a weakened Cena at the end of this match, which itself will end in a no contest. Punk takes the belt off Cena. Result: No contest.

WWE's 'The Miz' comments on Super Bowl LIX, American Century Championship training
WWE's 'The Miz' comments on Super Bowl LIX, American Century Championship training This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin about his training for this year's American Century Championship, which will take place July 9-13 at Edgewood Tahoe. He shares his thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX and potential golf competition on the WWE roster. "Training is going well. I am so devoted to doing well at the American Century Championship that I created my own YouTube channel, called MizGolf," said Miz, "where I am learning different tricks of the trade to get my swing dialed in for early July because I plan on winning. I want to win. I feel like I have the IQ to win. I'm just hoping that my swing is doing exactly what I want it to do on the day of the tournament." WWE is having two events in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7th: 'Worlds Collide' at the Kia Forum and Money in the Bank at the Intuit Dome. Miz, a career grand slam champion with the company, made it clear without hesitation that he is the best golfer in WWE. "Me, I'm the only golfer in WWE. I think Jimmy Uso just started golfing, so you can't really put him in that category, but I think I'm really the only real golfer in WWE, as of right now." Although the Chiefs' loss in Super Bowl LIX was disappointing, according to the Miz, it was more about the Eagles players rallying around their head coach, Nick Sirianni, for motivation. "I think everyone was a little shocked, especially the way the Eagles (won); first, at the beginning of the season, people were asking for Sirianni's head, like they wanted him fired, and this guy goes on to win the Super Bowl," said Miz, "Think about that, the pressure your fanbase started to go against you. The news media outlets are talking negatively about you, and you can rally this team behind you and take them all the way to the Super Bowl. They developed an amazing team and a franchise. I'm hoping the (Cleveland) Browns can follow in their footsteps." The annual tournament awards $750,000 in prize money, much of which the celebrity players donate to local and national charities. Over the years, nearly $8 million has been donated to non-profit causes. Network television exposure on NBC, along with a first-place prize of $150,000, makes the celebrity tournament one of the most prestigious in the golf world.

WWE Money in the Bank history: Every winner, cash in as ladder match reaches milestone
WWE Money in the Bank history: Every winner, cash in as ladder match reaches milestone Show Caption Hide Caption John Cena opens up about his past skin cancer diagnoses WWE icon and Hollywood star John Cena has opened up on making two cancerous spots removed in the past. Bang Showbiz In the 20 years since the WWE introduced "Money in the Bank" into the pro wrestling lexicon, it has become an entrenched gimmick for fans to look forward to and speculate about every year. The concept is simple enough. Each year the WWE dangles a match contract in a briefcase above the ring (literally) that can be used to challenge for any of its championship belts. The winner is determined by a ladder match that only ends when a participating wrestler climbs to retrieve the briefcase and one of the more coveted distinctions in sports entertainment within it. What started as a special event at Wrestlemania 21 has become one of the mainstay premium live events on the WWE calendar each year and led to so many unpredictable run-ins and surprises since the contract can be cashed in at any time. The 2025 Money in the Bank premium live event will take place Saturday, June 7 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, with Money in the Bank ladder matches again planned for both the men's and women's wrestlers. Seth Rollins, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Andrade and El Grande Americano are currently slated to participate in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match this year. Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Roxanne Perez, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer are scheduled for the women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Those who wind up with the briefcase are often rewarded. There have been a total of 33 Money in the Bank contracts handed out since 2005. Only five times has a wrestler cashed in the contract and not wound up winning a title as a result.
