Sticker shock: Some Jacksonville property owners are seeing the first sign of a big increase in solid waste. WOKV reported in February when city council gave preliminary approval to a solid waste bill that more than doubles the monthly rate. Supporters on city council say the current fee doesn't cover debt from its trash services, but some property owners say the burden is too high.
MANDARIN: It's a street lined with big, mature oak trees but Mandarin Road is narrow and doesn't have a complete sidewalk for people to use. Now, a debate in the neighborhood about a proposed JTA project. More than 600 people have signed a petition to stop the project. City Council members say they're pushing for the sidewalk project after a 2016 survey found it would be helpful. JTA is hosting a public meeting tonight at 6:00 at the Mandarin Community Club.

Dozens of anti-ICE protesters busted at Trump Tower after lobby takeover: ‘Bring them home!'
About two dozen anti-ICE protesters swarmed the lobby of Trump Tower in Manhattan Monday, and were busted after refusing to leave. The mostly grey-haired crowd sat together on the ground, chanting, 'Bring them back! Bring them home!' as NYPD cops descended on the Fifth Avenue skyscraper around 1 p.m. The group called for the release of inmates from the notorious hellhole prison CECOT in El Salvador – where migrants deported from the US, and even 'dangerous' American citizens convicted of heinous crimes are held in overcrowded cells. 'We are demanding that the administration bring back everyone from CECOT to the United States, release them ICE custody, return them to their homes and families and allow them their day in court,' demanded a woman leading the protest. The NYPD confirmed that the protesters were given multiple orders to disperse from the lobby, but refused to comply. An audio recording with the message, 'This is the New York City Police Department. You are occupying these premises unlawfully and without permission. I am ordering you to leave these premises now. If you refuse to leave, you may be subject to arrest,' played before police began placing the crew in zip-tie handcuffs. Sources say 24 demonstrators were rounded up by the NYPD. Charges were not immediately filed.

Donald Trump on Monday addressed a question that's been on many people's minds ever since the president's spectacular blow-out with former so-called 'First Buddy' Elon Musk last week. Namely, what will happen to the red Tesla model S that Trump bought during a White House event in March to promote Musk's electric vehicle brand amid backlash to the billionaire's now-ended role leading the public spending-slashing, unofficial Department of Government Efficiency. 'Are you going to get rid of the Tesla and the Starlink system that you have here at the White House?' Trump was asked by a reporter. 'No, I haven't heard that,' the president replied. 'I mean, I may move the Tesla around a little bit but I don't think we'll be doing that with Starlink, it's a good service,' he added, the latter being Musk's satellite internet service. The journalist pressed Trump on the Tesla: 'Where are you going to move it to? Move it around? What do you mean?' Trump replied: 'I have a lot of locations.
