Elon Musk Posts His Drug Test Results for Ketamine and Cocaine
Musk tweeted simply 'lol' with an image of the report, which appears to have been conducted by a company called Fastest Labs of South Austin, in Austin, Texas. The image posted by Musk states it was a urine test collected on June 11 and received by the lab on June 13. The report is dated June 16.
The report shows Musk tested negative for benzodiazepines, amphetamine, and opiates, among the other drugs he's reportedly used in the past. Musk has been most closely associated with ketamine, a drug that reportedly impacted his bladder, according to an article from the New York Times in late May. The billionaire has said he was prescribed ketamine for depression years ago, but more recently said he hasn't touched it in a few years.
Musk accused the New York Times of 'lying their ass off' about his history of drug use. But the newspaper wasn't the first to report on it. The Wall Street Journal was the first major newspaper to write about Musk's alleged history with LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms, and ketamine back in January 2024. The article cited sources within his companies who were concerned that Musk's drug use may be hurting his businesses.
Musk posted the drug results himself on Tuesday, which means we have to take his word that it's an accurate representation of reality. That will obviously be difficult for some people, given Musk's history of being dishonest about a litany of topics. For example, when Musk insisted there was widespread fraud happening at the Social Security Administration and 150-year-olds were collecting Social Security checks, it was a claim that made it into President Donald Trump's first speech to Congress during his second term. As it turns out, Musk's claim wasn't true, and his top DOGE spokesperson, Katie Miller, insisted on perpetuating the lie, according to new reporting from the New York Times.
NASA, which oversees Musk's lucrative SpaceX contracts, insisted it saw 'no evidence' back in January 2024 that he had used drugs. But the New York Times also reported last month that Musk had been given advance warning about drug tests mandated by the government for the billionaire to keep his security clearance.
It seems unlikely that Musk's tweet with drug test results will put the debate to rest. Especially since the Tesla CEO spent the past year under a harsh spotlight after he endorsed Trump, handing out over $250 million to get him and other Republicans elected. Musk appeared on quite a few stages to promote Trump, giving the public more than a few opportunities to see him act strangely.
There are just way too many odd events to count, from Musk's bizarre jumping at a Trump rally in the summer of 2024 to Musk's Nazi-style salutes on the day of Trump's inauguration to his erratic chainsaw stunt at CPAC in February. Then there was Musk's farewell in the Oval Office, where he kept spinning his head around and gazing into the distance as Trump was talking. It wasn't the first time he'd done that in recent months.
But who knows? The defense from Musk fans is often that he's on the autism spectrum and comes across awkwardly. That could very well be true. But it seems like most people have someone with autism in their lives who doesn't act as erratically and unhinged as Musk.

Once authorities responded to the scene, they discovered the critically injured DeKalb County officer, who died. He has been identified as David Rose, 33, and DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson said he leaves behind a pregnant wife and two children, per CNN. 'This evening, there is a wife without a husband. There are three children, one unborn, without a father. There is a mother and a father, as well as siblings who also share in this traumatic loss,' Cochran-Johnson said. Officers heard gunfire inside a CVS at the intersection and went inside the building. Once they were inside, they located the suspect on the second floor of the building that housed the CVS. The suspect had been hit by gunfire. Schierbaum said it was unclear if the wounds were self-inflicted or from police fire. The suspect died at the scene. The suspect's identity has not been publicly revealed. Schierbaum said the CDC campus "did receive multiple rounds into their buildings," but officials were not aware of any injuries that occurred there. There were 92 children at the CDC campus' day care center, all of whom were unharmed, per ABC News. Authorities said the situation was contained as of 6:30 p.m. local time, per Fox 5. FBI Atlanta and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the incident. Mayor Andre Dickens said the investigation is in the preliminary stages, and said 'in short order you'll know more about [the suspect] and some assumptions about his motives, but I can't say right now.' Dickens did not confirm whether or not the shooter was targeting the CDC. 'He is a known person that may have some interests in certain things, that I can't reiterate right know with any confidence until the investigation is fully conducted,' Dickens said. Authorities theorize, after speaking to the suspected shooter's family member, that the shooter was either sick or believed that he was sick and blamed the illness on the COVID-19 vaccine, per CNN. No civilians were injured, Dickens said. However, four people took themselves to the hospital for stress and anxiety symptoms, per Schierbaum. One CDC employee told CNN that he believes he heard at least six or seven shots and called 911 from his car. 'It sounded like fireworks going off, one right after the other,' witness Brandy Giraldo said, per WCVB. Witness Randy Gold was leaving a nearby hospital with his father, but said, 'as soon as we turned towards the exit, people were running toward us, doctors, nurses, the valet parkers, everybody screaming that there's an active shooter,' per CNN. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp issued a statement on X, noting the timing following the Thursday, Aug. 7, shooting that left five U.S. soldiers wounded in Fort Stewart, Ga. "Twice this week, deranged criminals have targeted innocent Georgians," Kemp said in a statement. "Each time, brave first responders rushed toward the danger to subdue the shooter and save lives, reminding us of just how crucial they are." Attorney General Chris Carr said in an X statement. Investigation underway after hidden camera found outside Palos Verdes home
Palos Verdes Estates police have launched an investigation after a hidden camera was found outside of a home last week. On Aug. 1, officers were sent to a home on Via Margarita after a resident found a "hidden pouch in a bush located in their front yard," according to a Facebook post from PVEPD. "Upon inspecting the contents of the pouch, officers located a small camera connected to a battery pack," the post said. "These hidden cameras are commonly used by burglary suspects related to South American Theft Groups." Though no suspect information was immediately available, police said they are already investigating and working to find whoever hid the camera. "We're asking all residents to stay alert," said PVEPD's post. "If you find any suspicious items or hidden pouches on your property, please contact us immediately." The department can be reached at (310) 378-4211. This is just the latest instance of a hidden camera being found outside of a Southern California home in recent years. Concealed devices have been found in places like Chino Hills, Temecula, Agoura Hills and West Covina.

Murrieta man arrested for DUI after running red light, causing deadly crash
A Murrieta man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after she ran a red light and crashed into another car, killing one of its occupants, police said. IT happened at around 5 p.m. on Thursday near the intersection of California Oaks Road and Skyview Ridge, according to Murrieta police. Officers were dispatched to the scene after learning of the collision, and preliminary investigation revealed that 39-year-old Jaime Ruiz Jr. was driving a pickup truck heading westbound on California Oaks when he ran through a red light and crashed into a sedan that was going through the intersection. Both vehicles spun to a stop. Police said that Ruiz had one of his children in the car at the time of the crash. He was arrested as police said he "exhibited signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol." The woman behind the wheel of the sedan, who hasn't yet been identified, was pronounced dead after she was rushed to a nearby hospital. Ruiz was booked on suspicion of DUI gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI resulting in injuries and child endangerment. He was released from jail Friday morning after posting $75,000 bond, police said.
