Kaizer Chiefs eye shock move for ex-Orlando Pirates striker
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly preparing a move for Bienvenu Eva Nga, with the powerful striker set to leave Chippa United at the end of June when his contract expires. The former Orlando Pirates forward is once again drawing serious interest from top clubs in the Betway Premiership, with Amakhosi said to have renewed their interest.
Although Eva Nga struggled to make a major impact at Chippa United, scoring just three goals in 28 appearances, his physical presence and experience remain valued assets in the South African top flight.
While Kaizer Chiefs look to strengthen their attacking options, they face stiff competition. Interest in Eva Nga isn't limited to local clubs, there's also international attention brewing.
'He won't be short of options. Apart from the local teams interested in him there is a club in Kuwait as well. That club started asking about him while he was still a Pirates player. I think they would also jump at the chance that he is now a free agent and maybe sign him,' a source revealed the last time he was available.
As the transfer window approaches, Eva Nga's future remains wide open. Whether he opts for a domestic switch to Kaizer Chiefs or accepts an offer abroad, his next move will be one to watch closely.
A return to Gauteng could revive his career, while a deal in the Middle East may offer a fresh start and financial security. Either way, the Cameroonian target man is unlikely to remain without a club for long.

'The deputy minister will be accompanied by the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Gaoage Oageng Molapisi', said Water Department spokesperson, Wisane Mavasa. The executive mayor of Madibeng Municipality, Douglas Maimane, will also be in attendance. He will be flanked by traditional leaders and other dignitaries at the event said Mavasa. 'The upgrade project of Brits Water Treatment Works is worth more than R80 million fundedby the Department of Water and Sanitation through its Regional Bulk Infrastructure Grant,' said Mavasa. The grant is implemented by Magalies Water Board. Once the project is completed, it will benefit over 75 373 households in the Brits area and surroundings. Mavasa believes this will be a welcomed relief since Brits and other areas nearby are constantly affected by water shortages. According to Mavasa, the project is practically completed. However she cautioned that there are final touches being made on the civil, mechanical and electrical works elements. In order for the upgrades to be successful, all the elements need to be completed said Mavasa. 'As of this month, civil engineering works are at 97%, mechanical engineering at 89%, while electrical engineering works stand at 70%,' she continued. The overall completion of the upgrading project is expected to be completed at the end of August 2025. The water department said this is the deadline they are working towards. How could uncapped players fit into Springbok squad?
The first Springbok training squad of the season, which was confirmed on Thursday by SA Rugby, includes 31 Rugby World Cup players and nine uncapped players in a group of 54. Those nine players in the group are Marnus van der Merwe, Neethling Fouche, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Cobus Wiese, Renzo du Plessis, Vincent Tshituka, Juarno Augustus, Ethan Hooker and Ntokozo Makhaza. Although this squad will be trimmed closer to the start of the Test season, it is worth considering how these uncapped players could fit into the Springbok team, and what has brought them into the national picture. Ethan Hooker: The versatile Sharks back, who can play at wing or centre, has been loudly knocking on the Springbok door this season. He is surely set for a Test debut sooner rather than later, likely to be on the right wing as someone who can afford Cheslin Kolbe some rest when needed. Juarno Augustus: A standout player for the Northampton Saints this past season, Augustus now has experience on his side, and could provide a very good option at No 8 considering the injuries to other players in this position. Renzo du Plessis: Another rising star in South African rugby, the dynamic loose forward is in the mould of Kwagga Smith. A debut against Georgia would certainly seem feasible. Neethling Fouche: The Stormers powerhouse prop will add important back up at tighthead, and considering Frans Malherbe is still sidelined with injury, Fouche is due for his first Test cap. Asenathi Ntlabakanye: A 145kg giant, his physical dimensions set him apart from the pack, and perhaps the one-off games against the Barbarians and Georgia will present an opportunity for the big tighthead prop to get a Springbok game under the belt. Marnus van der Merwe: Another position where the Springboks need to build depth is at hooker, and Van der Merwe is deserving of consideration after impressing for Welsh club Scarlets. When Malcolm Marx or Bongi Mbonambi are in need of a rest, the baton should be passed to Van der Merwe Cobus Wiese: With the ability to play at lock and loose forward, the 27-year-old boasts all the physical attributes to make an impact for the Springboks in some of the Tests this season when experimental selection is likely to come into consideration.
