April marks Distracted Driving Awareness Month, travel agencies ask for full attention while driving

Anything that could take your attention away from driving should be avoided.
'Distractions come in many forms. Cell phones obviously, but radios, GPS, even eating behind the wheel,' said Jim Garrity, director of public affairs for AAA East Central. 'I've seen people doing their hair and make-up, strangely enough brushing their teeth, and also distractions can come in the form of other people who are traveling alongside with you.'
Garrity said a distracted driving crash can happen in the blink of an eye, endangering not only your life, but the lives of others.
