Both Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen close to full fitness ahead of Champions League round of 16 tie
Ahead of their Champions League round of 16 game, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will close to full fitness heading into Wednesday's game.
The only current absentee for Leverkusen is midfielder Robert Andrich. The 30-year-old will miss the first leg due to illness, reports kicker. Andrich also sat on the bench for the whole game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening. Apart from the obvious absences of Jeanuël Belocian and Martin Terrier, Leverkusen have no players missing.
Edmond Tapsoba on the other hand will be available. The defender missed Leverkusen's 4-1 win against Frankfurt due to muscular problems but returned to training yesterday and also participated in team training this afternoon.
For Bayern, they will be without Aleksandar Pavlovic. The midfielder is out with a cold, this cold also kept him out of their 3-1 win at the weekend against VfB Stuttgart. Joshua Kimmich was also absent on Friday due to a tendon injury picked up against Frankfurt the week before, but he resumed team training and will be available.
Aside from Pavlovic, Bayern are not missing any other regular first team players.

Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez's goals got the Blues off to a good start in a competitive clash against one of the three qualified MLS teams. Advertisement New signing Liam Delap made his debut as a substitute and helped set up Fernandez's strike, with Chelsea hoping to go far after their UEFA Conference League triumph and Champions League qualification, looking to re-establish themselves among the elite. After a solid start to the tournament regarding attendance numbers over the opening weekend, a sparse crowd of just over 22,000 settled in at the stylish 71,000 capacity Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Behind former Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris' goal in the first half, a couple of hundred LAFC 'ultras' helped provide an atmosphere with a drum beat and constant song.
