Former UFC title challenger Darren Till was back in the boxing ring Friday as he defeated fellow promotional alum Darren Stewart in an eight-round exhibition bout.
The bout headlined Misfits & DAZN X Series 21 at Vaillant Live in Derby, Derbyshire, England. Till defeated Stewart by unanimous decision (77-74, 77-74, 77-73).
The match almost never made it to the judges' scorecards, however. Till rocked Stewart badly late in Round 8 with a perfectly-targeted straight left. The blow left "The Dentist" seemingly out of his wits as the final bell rang. The final knockdown further solidified the win for Till, who was on his way to a victorious outing regardless.
Till, 32, moves to 3-0 in exhibition boxing since his UFC departure. Wins prior to Friday's fight included Mohammad Mutie and Anthony Taylor. Till also had bout vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tommy Fury fall through.
Till asked for his promotional release in early 2023 to pursue other ventures and the UFC obliged. Till currently has a 6-5-1 UFC record. It's unclear if he plans to ever return to the promotion, but has indicated he left the company on good terms.

Darren Till warns fellow Smesh Bro Khamzat: DDP can ‘give him hell'
Former UFC title challenger Darren Till has unique insight into UFC 319's main event between Dricus Du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev. Back in 2022, Till began training often with Khamzat in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two became fast friends and were soon ripping around the Strip together, driving fast cars and shooting machine guns. Just like that, the 'Smesh Bros' were born, a bromance that has spawned at least one questionable tattoo. On a more professional level, Till cornered Chimaev for his chaotic brawl against Gilbert Burns. Later that year, Till went to war with 'DDP' in December, ultimately getting submitted in the third round after a competitive start (watch here). In the second round, Till actually had some of the best success on the feet of any 'Stillknocks' opponent. It's still a fight the English talent wants to get back, though that's rather unlikely given du Plessis is UFC champion and Till isn't even signed with the promotion currently. Given his experience with both men, Till's insight into the match up is worth noting. Contrary to some, Till expects Du Plessis to give his former training partner hell and make it difficult, but he believes Chimaev and his conditioning will rise to the occasion anyway. 'DDP will be facing the highest level of wrestling, especially in MMA,' Till explained to 'Can Khamzat beat him early on? Most definitely. But can DDP give Khamzat hell? Most definitely. 'I think it's 60-40 in Khamzat's favour, but I just say, when it gets into later rounds, does Khamzat have it [the stamina] to go that? But I think he's training with Arman Tsarukyan, so I think it's going to be a demolition job, well I hope it is. But don't be surprised if DDP gives him problems because he is a phenomenal fighter. I think he's going to drag Khamzat into deep waters, but I think Khamzat is going to be prepared, so I do see Khamzat winning any which way. But you cannot look past DDP.' Currently, Till is more focused on boxing than MMA. He's next scheduled to face former Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold at in upcoming Misfits Boxing 22: 'Ring of Thrones' pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event on DAZN on Sat., Aug. 30, 2025, at AO Arena in Manchester, England.
