However, the Lynx were hounded all night and couldn't find their rhythm, shooting just 34.9% from the field as a team. Star Napheesa Collier had a rare off game, scoring just 12 points on 6-of-18 shooting, with five turnovers. After a first quarter that saw the Lynx grab a 20-12 lead, they'd be outscored 62-39 the rest of the way, leading to the 74-59 loss. Washington had won four of five games to claw their way back to an even 8-8 record before their most recent game, a 79-71 loss on the road against the Dallas Wings. The Mystics stumbled out of the gate, finding themselves down 28-9 after the first quarter, and never could recover. Sonia Citron scored 22 points to go with 10 rebounds, while Shakira Austin chipped in with 18 points in the loss. Cowboys could replace Micah Parsons with SEC star pass rusher

One of the biggest storylines of the NFL offseason is the status of Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons's contract negotiations. Parsons is entering the final year of his deal, and as of now, there is no new contract in place for the Pro Bowl pass rusher. Advertisement The Cowboys are known for waiting until the last minute to finalize a contract, so there is a chance Parsons will secure a new deal; however, there is also a chance he may not be on the team next year. If Parsons is playing elsewhere in 2026, then the Cowboys will need a new pass rusher, and Matt Miller from ESPN has Dallas taking Auburn's edge rusher Keldric Faulk in a new 2026 NFL Mock Draft. "The Cowboys enter the season still needing to sign Micah Parsons to a long-term extension. While they signed Dante Fowler Jr. this offseason, Dallas needs more on the edge after passing on the position in the 2025 draft," Miller wrote. "At 6-foot-6, 288 pounds, Faulk is a versatile player who can play along the defensive line, from 3-technique to a true outside edge. He can generate pressure from inside and out, as evidenced by his 24 edge pressures and five interior pressures last season. Faulk's size and strength would be fun to pair with Parsons' speed." Follow The Sporting News On WhatsApp Faulk has eight sacks in 25 college games, and seven of them came last season, so he will likely build off that success this year. If Dallas is looking to move off of Parsons, then Faulk could be an excellent option for the team More NFL: Cowboys-Steelers trade idea brings former draft target to Dallas

Colts Get Unfortunate Update on Potential Trey Hendrickson Trade Talks

Colts Get Unfortunate Update on Potential Trey Hendrickson Trade Talks originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Cincinnati Bengals and star defensive end Trey Hendrickson are entrenched in one of the ugliest contract disputes in recent memory. Advertisement According to the former New Orleans Saint, the Bengals promised to give him a pay raise if he had another dominant season and he did exactly that. Hendrickson finished with 17.5 sacks for the second straight season and was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year. Now, despite solidifying his status as one of the five best defensive players in football, Cincinnati is still playing hardball. Hendrickson hasn't shown up to any team activities so far this summer and he and the team have gotten into multiple battles with PR statements and media interviews. The relationship has been tumultuous to say the least, but for the time being things look to be improving. Advertisement Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Sunday that Hendrickson and the team have reengaged in contract discussions. We've seen hundreds of twists and turns in this seemingly never ending saga, so things could still turn sideways again, but for now the sides are peaceful. This is unfortunate news for a number of teams who were hoping to acquire his services, but especially the Indianapolis Colts. They had one of the worst pass rushes in the league last year, so they were banking on being able to add one of the best in the sport. They have a superstar on the defensive line in DeForest Buckner, but there is currently nobody in Indianapolis who can reap the benefits of his dominance. Advertisement Hendrickson would have been a perfect fit and instantly transformed the Colts into one of the best pass rushing teams in the league. There will likely be more drama between the him and the Bengals this summer, so the Colts just need to hope that there is more friction.
