Bethenny Frankel mocks Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's $50M wedding

Daily Mail9 hours ago
Bethenny Frankel took to social media this week to voice her opinion on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding extravaganza.
The 55-year-old former journalist and 61-year-old Amazon founder gathered with loved ones to tie the knot in Italy last weekend.
On Monday the ex Real Housewives of New York City personality, 54, unleashed her thoughts via TikTok and Instagram posts.
In a minute-long video clip, she ranted about the couple's tacky invitation, which even drew ire from a tech giant.
'Ok, I've been diplomatic about the wedding,' Frankel began before adding, 'When I saw the invitation, that's when I got lost.'
She made a point to issue a disclaimer ahead of her criticism: 'I happen to love Lauren Sánchez and I also adore Amazon, so I am treading lightly. But you know me, I have a difficult time holding back when I have an opinion.'
Bethenny, known for her hot takes, joked, '[With] the invitation, you lost me.
'And as a result, for the people, I'm going to start dating so I can eventually get married and have a wedding and make up for that invitation because that invitation... I could not stay silent.'
Noting her tendency to catch flack for being outspoken, she continued, 'I'm sorry. It's the lord's work. I take a couple of hits, I get dinged up and bruised, and I get into trouble but the invitation is where you lost me.'
Frankel — who called off her engagement to Paul Bernon in 2024 and later dated Tom Villante — declared: 'I am open for business after seven months.
'I am starting to date for the people and I will be having a wedding at some point.
'I just don't know when or where, but I can't wait for you to see my invitation.'
Across her video, which was filmed on a boat as she wore a sun hat, sunglasses, and a white bra, was the hilarious note, 'POV: I'm getting married...'
Bethenny captioned the post, 'Ps. I'm in a bra on a boat....so you should question the source....'
Lauren and Jeff's invitation, obtained by ABC News last week ahead of the wedding, featured computer-generated graphics of butterflies, doves, the Venice canals, gondolas, and feathers in purple, gray and pink.
The public quickly took to the internet to criticize the correspondence, which many agreed looked like it had been created by a '10-year-old.'
Using the buzz as a promotional opportunity, content creator tool Adobe Express took to Instagram with a subtle slight to the bride and groom and posted a much more sophisticated-looking iteration.

I ‘live' on a cruise ship with my son & fiancé – the food's amazing, there's childcare & our laundry's done for free too

A WOMAN who "lives" on a cruise ship with her almost two-year-old son and fiancé has revealed some of the perks of her unique lifestyle. Chelsea spends months at a time on the ship with her husband-to-be and their little boy Mattia, on a "friends and family" basis. 7 7 7 7 While her man works as an officer on board the boat, she and the tot are able to make the most of some of the benefits, including amazing food and free accommodation. They share a room with Chelsea's Italian fiancé Domenico, which means they don't have to pay for it - although it's a tight squeeze thanks to the travel cot Mattia sleeps in. They also have an inflatable bath that they store in their shower when it's not in use, and Mattia's nappies and wipes take up almost an entire shelf in the wardrobe. In videos on her TikTok page, Chelsea has been sharing an insight into her life at sea, as she said she does up to eight weeks at a time on board while her other half works - the limit for friends and family. However, Domenico's assignments mean he can spend up to nine months at a time on a ship. So during that time Chelsea and Mattia split their time between the boat, Scotland - where she's originally from - and south Italy, where they have a house. "I say 'living' because we're not actually living here," she explained in a video on TikTok. "We're still passengers, but we are family and friends cruisers. "But when we do really long cruises it's basically like moving our life for that duration to be here." "And it means we can obviously be together for part of the long contract away from each other," she added. One of the Largest Cruise Ships in the World While Chelsea's hands are full looking after Mattia, she is no stranger to life on board a cruise ship - as she used to work on one as a dancer. And she knows about the best perks of temporarily relocating to the ship - including the amazing food. She and Mattia are treated like any other passenger with the food that comes included with their "friends and family" tickets, which means they have to pay for drinks or if they want to dine at one of the speciality restaurants for a change. There's also a kids' club on board, and that's free too - although Mattia isn't a fan. Pros and cons of going on a cruise ship Whether you're considering a long holiday, working remotely or even living on board a cruise ship for a few months or years, here are the pros and cons from a former cruise shipper. Pros Travel the world, learn and experience new cultures Meet new people Don't have to think or worry about room cleaning, or food Cons Internet connection can be painfully slow and expensive Limited luggage allowance so have to wear the same clothes on rotation Having no control of where the ship would go next and the possibility of visiting the same ports Having the same onboard entertainment, on-demand movies, and little choice of TV channels No fresh newspapers or new books unless someone adds them to the library Relatively the same food week after week unless major menu changes occur seasonally. Occasional rough seas, bad weather and viral outbreaks while inboard. "The baby care and club is completely free for everyone on board but it's baby care 10am-1pm (no parents you leave the baby with the staff) , then you can use the area to play freely with your baby 1pm-5pm, while 5pm-8pm is baby care!" Chelsea explained in response to another comment. "But my little one doesn't like baby cafe they always call me after like 10 mins!" Another benefit of joining Domenico on the ship is that Chelsea gets her and Mattia's laundry done for free. Domenico gets his done for no cost thanks to his job ranking, while Chelsea and Mattia are included in that too. 7 7

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley admits she suffered 'a lot of anxiety' after soaring to global fame

Simone Ashley has opened up about suffering from 'a lot of anxiety' after her fame skyrocketed following the release of Bridgerton. The actress, 30, has soared to global stardom after playing Kathani 'Kate' Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series. In a feature for Harper's Bazaar, Simone sizzled in a number of chic looks, as she opened up about how her celebrity status has affected her mental well-being. Meteoric rise to prominence: The actress has seen her stock skyrocket after playing Kathani 'Kate' Bridgerton in the Netflix series Simone revealed she was left with such bad anxiety that she would often avoid leaving the house so she didn't risk being recognized. She said: 'When Bridgerton came out, those were some of the best years of my life, but I also had a lot of anxiety. 'I was coming to terms with what I wanted and what I didn't, learning lessons about what really matters to me, taming my ego, listening to my heart… life has changed and there are certain things I can and can't do now.' The actress said: 'There was a time when I didn't leave the house often because I was afraid of being recognized. 'But it's a journey and I've reached a point where I just don't care as much.' Simone went on to discuss how her break-up from boyfriend-of-three-years Constantin 'Tino' Klein helped fuel her upcoming album. She said: 'It's going to be somewhat confessional… and beautiful and messy. That idealistic expectation of being single and having a completely clean start is not what I have been pursuing. 'Good songs don't come from times when my life is regimented and predictable. They come when I am feeling vitality, and usually you either feel that way when your heart's broken, or you're euphoric. 'This work has been an amazing channel to put all those feelings into.' Rather than the classic acting route of going to drama school and securing an agent, Simone decided to move to Los Angeles at the age of 18. She said: 'It was quite reckless of me. There wasn't that safety bubble of graduating from drama school, getting an agent, doing it the normal way. I was really scrappy. 'Since I was little, if I wanted something, I would do anything I could to get it. So, I took some modelling jobs to pay the bills and got into acting through that.' Simone added: 'You can't have a plan B - you're either all in or not. It's like a relationship. If you do have a plan B, it's probably not going to work out.'

Reform UK has released a video mocking Labour ahead of their anniversary of winning the general election on July 4. A parody style music advert called 'Now That's What I Call U-Turns' was shared by Nigel Farage 's party on Tuesday (1 July) with the caption: 'One year of Starmer, one year of u-turns'. The video references several of Labour's controversial policies, including winter fuel payments with the song 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice playing in the background, whilst their early release of prisoners was referenced with Queen's 'I Want to Break Free'. Former party chairman Zia Yusuf shared the video with the caption: 'The Reform digital team really is in a class of its own.'
