Report alleges Elon Musk used cocktail of ketamine, ecstasy, shrooms, and Adderall during high-pressure stints

Time of Indiaa day ago

Elon Musk used more drugs than people knew during the
2024 campaign trail
. He became super close to Donald Trump and was a key person in Trump's inner circle. Musk reportedly took so much
ketamine
that it started damaging his bladder. He also used ecstasy and magic mushrooms often. Musk carried a box with about 20 pills, which included
Adderall
, according to a report by The New York Times.
It's not clear if he kept using this drug mix during Trump's second term while leading the Department of Government Efficiency. But Musk kept showing weird and frantic behavior, like giving a Nazi salute at a January event and acting super nervous in public. This all happened when Musk was going through personal problems, like fights with his estranged kids and people finding out he had other kids no one knew about, as per reports.
Musk has said in public that he takes small amounts of ketamine that a doctor prescribed to help with his mental health. He told Don Lemon: 'If you've used too much ketamine, you can't really get work done, and I have a lot of work.' But people who know Musk said he was taking ketamine almost daily, and even mixed it with other drugs sometimes. He even told some people that his bladder was getting hurt from so much ketamine, as mentioned in the reports.
This was happening around July 2024, when Musk said publicly that he was supporting Trump for president. He also did ecstasy and shrooms at private parties, both in the U.S. and even at least one event overseas. Musk was reportedly warned in advance when random drug tests were coming at SpaceX, his rocket company.
Neuroscientist Philip Low, who used to be Musk's friend, said: 'Elon has pushed the boundaries of his bad behavior more and more.' These drug claims came out just before a Friday press conference where Musk and Trump were going to announce Musk leaving his federal job. Musk had to leave that job because it was a 130-day role as a 'special government employee,' and May 30 was the deadline, according to a report by The New York Times.

Donald Trump's phone lock screen photo was leaked; netizens spot uncanny 9/11 link

President Donald Trump's phone lock screen was recently captured by a Reuters photographer, and the image has sparked several theories. The 78-year-old's lock screen features a photo of himself pointing a finger. While some social media users mocked Trump for being 'narcissistic', others came up with '9/11' links. 'Trump's lock screen was spotted on his phone last night—and it was a photo of himself. Is that not one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed things you've ever seen??? Not his family, not his kids, but himself,' one person wrote on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. 'Reuters took an HD photo of the lock screen of President Trump's iPhone last night. It's a picture of himself. No president has more aura than President Trump,' another one tweeted, supporting the president. The September 11, 2001 (9/11) link comes from the time displayed on Donald Trump's phone when the photo was captured. 'Reuters took photo of lock screen of President Trump's iPhone Don't like the time it shows: 9:11 Reminds me of Trump's Butler, PA rally/assassination attempt, the only time CNN attended a Trump rally that year & how convenient, a NYT award winning photographer was also present,' one person noted on X. 'does this mean trump is going to release the 9/11 files,' another social media user asked. Neither Trump nor the White House has responded to the reactions on the former's phone lock screen. Meanwhile, Trump said on Friday he planned to increase tariffs on imported steel and aluminum to 50% from 25%. "We are going to be imposing a 25% increase. We're going to bring it from 25% to 50% - the tariffs on steel into the United States of America, which will even further secure the steel industry in the United States," he said at a rally in Pennsylvania. Canada's Chamber of Commerce quickly denounced the tariff hike as "antithetical to North American economic security." "Unwinding the efficient, competitive and reliable cross-border supply chains like we have in steel and aluminum comes at a great cost to both countries," Candace Laing, president of the chamber, said in a statement.

Who is Katie Miller? Stephen Miller's wife leaves White House to work full-time for Elon Musk

Katie Miller, a longtime political advisor and communications expert, has officially left the White House alongside Elon Musk. Both wrapped up their short-term roles as special government employees. Miller had been working as an advisor and spokeswoman for Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and now she's joining him full-time in the private sector. This move highlights Musk's ongoing interest in shaping US policy and reform efforts, especially after his 130-day stint in Washington, D.C., which drew a lot of attention. Miller played a key role in DOGE and was seen as a major force behind Musk's political messaging and media presence. Katie Miller is married to Stephen Miller, who serves as deputy chief of staff at the White House. While she was helping Musk navigate D.C., Stephen was also closely involved. Some reports and online chatter suggest the couple had an unusual dynamic with Musk. Social media rumors—even claims of a "throuple"—sparked speculation that Katie may have left Stephen for Elon, though nothing has been confirmed, according to Times Of India report. Sources told WIRED that Katie often had to deliver tough news to Musk and acted as a go-between with the White House. There are also unverified claims that Stephen used Katie to influence Musk, supposedly bragging about having control over him. One senior Republican strategist described Katie as someone who 'leaves bodies everywhere she's been,' meaning she tends to shake things up wherever she goes. Also Read: Did Elon Musk, Katie Miller quit DOGE? 'Thank you' note sparks speculation Even though Musk's exit from the White House might hint at some friction with Trump, some GOP leaders—like Vice President JD Vance—believe Musk's influence in politics is far from over. Katie holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a master's in public policy from George Washington University. She got her start as a press assistant for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and later worked as press secretary for Senators Steve Daines and Martha McSally. In 2017, she joined the Department of Homeland Security as deputy press secretary, where she defended the Trump administration's family separation policy. She later became Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary and then his communications director, building a strong reputation in Republican circles. In December 2024, Donald Trump named Katie to the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where she quickly became a close advisor to Musk. According to WIRED, she managed daily messaging and helped coordinate Musk's political appearances—especially those tied to SpaceX and broader tech issues. Insiders described her role as 'pivotal' in shaping Musk's public image during his time in D.C. Musk's official government role ended in May 2025 after 130 days, and Katie's term ended at the same time. CBS News later confirmed that Katie will continue working for Musk full-time, overseeing communications across all of his companies. Now out of government but still deeply connected to tech and politics, Katie Miller is expected to remain a powerful voice. As Musk rethinks his political spending and public involvement, Katie's skills in messaging and strategy will likely keep her at the center of it all. Her next chapter will be one to watch as the line between Silicon Valley and Washington continues to blur.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to visit US next week, meet Trump at White House

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will travel to Washington next week to meet US President Donald Trump, with the war in Ukraine and trade tensions among the items on the agenda, the German government said Saturday. Merz's office said the new German leader, who took the helm of Europe's biggest economy on May 6, will meet Trump at the White House on Thursday — the first in-person meeting between the two. It said that the meeting will address bilateral relations and international issues such as Russia's war in Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East and trade policy. Merz has plunged into diplomatic efforts to try to secure a ceasefire and keep Western support for Ukraine intact since becoming Germany's leader. On Wednesday, he hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin. Germany has a strong interest in defusing trade tensions between the European Union and the United States. Trump threatened to impose a 50 per cent tariff on goods imported from the 27-nation bloc starting Sunday, but then pushed back the deadline to July 9.
