DLF to invest ₹23,500 cr to complete ongoing housing projects in NCR, Mumbai

According to an investor's presentation, the "total pending cost" to complete all launched projects is estimated at ₹23,500 crore.
To meet its pending construction spend, DLF mentioned that the company has a cash balance of ₹10,429 crore, of which ₹7,782 crore is parked in the escrow account of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
That apart, the company has receivables of ₹37,220 crore from its customers against residential properties sold to them.
In a recent conference call with market analysts, DLF Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) informed that the company invested around ₹750 crore in construction during the first quarter of this year. He said the number would go up slightly in the coming quarters.
Post-COVID pandemic, DLF has launched many residential projects in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and the tri-city of Chandigarh.
During the current July-September quarter, DLF Ltd and Trident Realty launched a housing project comprising 416 flats in Mumbai and also sold all units for around ₹2,300 crore.
In the first quarter, the company launched and sold all 1,164 luxury apartments for about ₹11,000 crore in its new housing project 'DLF Privana North' in Gurugram. This project is part of its 116-acre township.
Last year, DLF had in this township launched and completely sold out two projects -- 'DLF Privana West' and 'DLF Privana South' -- for around ₹12,800 crore.
These new launches have helped DLF in achieving record sales bookings during the last fiscal year, and the company is targeting to repeat its performance.
DLF's sales bookings stood at a record ₹21,223 crore in the last fiscal as against ₹14,778 crore in the 2023-24.
During the 2022-23 fiscal, the company's sales bookings stood at ₹15,058 crore.
For the current financial year, DLF has given a sales bookings guidance of ₹20,000-22,000 crore, and it has already sold properties worth ₹11,425 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
DLF Group is primarily engaged in the business of the sale of residential properties (development business) and leasing of commercial and retail properties (annuity business).
The Group has developed more than 185 real estate projects comprising a total area of more than 352 million sq ft. It also has an annuity portfolio of 46 million sq ft.
DLF has 280 million sq ft of development potential across the residential and commercial segments, including current projects under execution and the identified pipeline.

Hindustan Foods has recorded 17% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 31.7 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 27.2 crore in Q1 FY25. For the quarter, the company declared revenue of Rs 998.1 crore, a growth of 15% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBITDA improved by 10% to Rs 83.5 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 75.5 crore in Q1 FY25. Profit before tax (PBT) in Q1 FY26 was at Rs 42.1 crore, up by 16% from Rs 36.2 crore posted in Q1 FY25. Sameer R. Kothari, managing director, said: HFL was able to achieve its highest ever quarterly profit despite the unseasonal rains that affected the off take of our seasonal offerings like ice creams and beverages. The ramp-up in our new plant in Nashik and the stabilization of the shoe business led to a satisfactory performance in this quarter. The last year was the year of Audacious, Agile and Ambitious bets, this year is going to be all about scaling with intent and executing with discipline. We will continue to focus on acquisitions which are value accretive in an external environment that continues to be challenging and more so with the Tariff War. Our diversified product mix and differentiated business model gives us confidence of being able to successfully maneuver the turbulent times and we remain confident of being able to achieve the targets that we have set for ourselves." The scrip had shed 0.82% to end at Rs 535.00 on the BSE on Friday.

ANI Representational image The combined fiscal deficit of 24 Indian states, representing nearly 92 per cent of the country's GDP, reached Rs 1.5 trillion or 1.8 per cent of GSDP in the first quarter of 2025-26 - April-June, according to a report by ICICI Bank Global ICICI Bank Global Markets analysis revealed that revenue receipts of these states grew 6.5 per cent year-on-year during the report, rebounding sharply from a 0.3 per cent decline in the same period last improvement was driven largely by stronger Own Tax Revenue (OTR), with all major components, except excise duty, registering higher State GST (SGST) collections rose 11.4 per cent year-on-year, while stamp duty, land revenue, and sales tax all posted healthy gains, benefiting from a low base effect. On the expenditure side, revenue expenditure remained broadly flat, but capital expenditure (capex) maintained its strong momentum, surging 28 per cent in the first quarter of 2025-26, after a steep 22 per cent contraction in the same quarter last fiscal, the ICICI Bank Global Markets report asserted. This uptick in capex pushed overall expenditure growth to nearly double the pace seen in the same period last 2025 data underscored the base effect, with total receipts rising 16.8 per cent year-on-year and revenue receipts increasing 15.6 per cent revenue climbed 14.3 per cent, led by a 28 per cent jump in State OTR. SGST collections spiked 37.5 per cent year-on-year, aided by post-IGST and input tax credit settlements in earlier months. While stamp duty growth moderated to 6.2 per cent year-on-year, sales tax and other taxes recorded strong gains of 36 per cent and 37 per cent, respectively. State excise duty and land revenue posted more modest increases of 8 per cent and 1 per cent year-on-year. Transfers from the Centre rose sharply by 42 per cent year-on-year in June, with grants-in-aid expanding nearly 50 per cent to Rs 332 billion. Capital receipts increased to Rs 31 billion, even as non-tax revenue saw a 3 per cent year-on-year contraction.
