SNGPL holds All Pakistan Badminton Tournament
A total of 200 players are participating in the event, comprising 140 male and 60 female athletes. Cash prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament among the players.
Currently, Sui Northern is actively promoting various sports including cricket, badminton, tennis, squash, mountaineering, climbing and others.
The Vice President of SNGPL Sports Cell extended his heartfelt gratitude to all esteemed guests, players, coaches, referees, and organizers whose dedication and tireless efforts made this tournament a resounding success.

Head coach reviews Pakistan Shaheens' England tour plan
LAHORE: With the Pakistan national team due to tour England in the near future, it was essential for us to identify players who could adapt quickly and perform in these conditions. This was stated by Imran Farhat, head coach Pakistan Shaheens, which undertook 15-day tour of England that comprised of white and red-ball series. During the tour, Shaheens featured in a three-match one-day series and two three-day fixtures. Pakistan Shaheens won the one-day series 2-1, played against the Professional County Club Select XI while both the three-day match ended in a draw. Led by Saud Shakeel, Shaheens saw Azan Awais emerge as the top run-scorer in the one-day series, amassing 164 runs from three matches, including two half-centuries. In the bowling department, Ubaid Shah was the leading wicket-taker, claiming six wickets across three matches, including figures of four for 41 in the third one-dayer. Imran Farhat said, 'We have identified a strong group of youngsters who we believe are part of our future. Our bowling in the one-day series was good; every bowler delivered strong results and our fielding was spot on. We also made sure everyone got a chance to play in the series, we followed a process and kept a consistent rotation policy in place.' He said, 'Looking at the red-ball matches, we saw some great performances from the players. The areas we were looking to improve in the top order were addressed quite effectively. Going forward, these players will continue to gain experience in first-class cricket and hopefully establish themselves further.' Imran said, 'We have discovered several promising players, both in red-ball and white-ball formats, which is a very positive takeaway. Each player will now return with an individual development plan that focuses on areas they need to improve in, be it technical, tactical or professional aspects, to become fully prepared for international cricket.' He said, 'Our focus throughout has been on building a strong bench. These young players, through their performances, have shown they are capable. Shaheens' camp starts today; departure to Australia on 8th
LAHORE: Pakistan Shaheens will undergo a five-day camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore from today, ahead of their departure to Australia on 8th August to participate in the Top End T20 Series. The 11-team T20 tournament will be played in Darwin from August 14 to 24, with the Shaheens set to open their campaign against Bangladesh 'A' at the TIO Stadium. The first ball will be bowled at 7pm local time. Shaheens' players will assemble in Lahore on Saturday evening and will take part in fielding and net sessions on 3rd and 4th August. They will then feature in scenario-based matches at the Gaddafi Stadium on 5 and 6 August. On the final day of the camp, Thursday, 7th August, training session will be held at the National Cricket Academy. Ahtisham and Romaisa crowned champions

PHOTO COURTESY: STA Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited's (SNGPL) Ahtisham Humiyon clinched the U18 title at the inaugural Sohail University National Tennis Championship which concluded at DA Creek Club, Karachi. He defeated fellow departmental player Hassan Usmani 6-2,6-2 to claim the win. Meanwhile, Romaisa Malik from Punoo Aqil became the U18 girls champion with a win over Bismal Zia 6-4,6-3 in the final of the event. Romaisa and Bismal also played the girls U14 singles final and Romaisa claimed the U14 title as well. In an exciting final of the U14 boys singles event, Peshawar's Junaid Khan outplayed Lahore's Shahbaz 4-9,1-4,4-2. In an all-Lahore girls' U12 final, Eman Shahbaz defeated Shahnoor Umer 2-4,5-4,4-2. Inaya Sayyed was crowned the women's singles champion as she outclassed Eschelle Asif 8-3 in the final. Ahtesham also won the men's singles event, he won against Lahore's Asad Zaman 8-4. Vice Chancellor Sohail University Syed Adnan Sohail was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He distributed the prizes worth Rs 150000, tennis balls and trophies among the winners and runners up of various events. Sohail appreciated the efforts of Sindh Tennis Association and offered full scholarship for Tennis players with good standing at Sohail University. Ahmed Ali Rajpoot, Khalid Jameel Shamsi and Muhammad Khalid Rehmani also spoke at the closing ceremony. 230 plus entries were received for this week long championship including 20 male and female out station players from Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Punoon Aqil and Hyderabad.
