Social media influencer pleads guilty to trespassing into house in Nilai

SEREMBAN : A social media influencer pleaded guilty in the sessions court here today to trespassing into a house.
Nurul Nur Ariani Zahar, 41, was charged with criminal trespass for entering the house at Kampung Chelet in Nilai at 5pm on May 7.
The charge was framed under Section 447 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail sentence of six months or a fine of up to RM3,000, or both, upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Nadia Ezzati Zainal proposed bail of RM8,000 and requested a new date to present the facts of the case before sentencing.
Lawyer K Gejalaxmi from the National Legal Aid Foundation, who represented Nurul, requested a reasonable bail amount as her client is self-employed with a low income. and is supporting a hospitalised father, four children and a sibling.
The court granted bail of RM2,500 in one surety and scheduled the mention of the case, including facts and sentencing, for June 19.

The spokesperson noted that despite the temple being a simple wooden structure, it had never experienced theft before. 'The sudden and mysterious disappearance of the status has not only caused concern among devotees but also highlighted the need for better protection of religious artifacts,' she added. Meanwhile, Batu Niah Buddhist Association chairman Chong Teck Huat said a police report has been lodged and that police are investigating the incident. 'We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist,' he said, expressing hope that the statue can be recovered soon the restore peace of mind to the community. 'The statue is not just a status. It is a living testament to the temple's founding We sincerely hope the Bodhisattva can be returned to its rightful place soon.' KUCHING, June 9 — A mother of five is seeking public help to locate the whereabouts of her husband, who left for China in 2016 for greener pastures. Identified as Kho, she told Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak publicity secretary Michael Kong that her last contact with her husband Tang Thiew Hing was when he arrived in Shenzhen. 'I have been raising our children alone after losing contact with my husband several years ago,' she said during a recent meeting with Kong at his office here. According to Kho, Tang had gone to China in the hope of securing better job opportunities to support their family. She told Kong that the family has been trying to locate Tang all these years but to no avail. 'Understandably, Madam Kho is deeply concerned for his safety and well-being. With no closure and growing responsibilities as the sole caregiver to their children, she is now seeking any help that may lead to tracing her husband's whereabouts,' he said in a statement yesterday He added this was not just about seeking answers but giving a family hope and potentially a reunion after years of uncertainty and silence. Pahang cops: Mentally disabled man missing for a week found dead in Jerantut
KUANTAN, June 9 — A mentally disabled man reported missing since June 2 in Jerantut was found dead today. Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the body of 36-year-old Sabri Ismail was discovered by a search and rescue team at around 10.20 am. Yahaya said the body was located approximately 300 metres from where he was last seen, near the Taman Sri Embun residential area in Jerantut on June 2. 'The remains have been sent to the Jerantut Hospital forensics department for post-mortem,' he said when contacted today.
