WA's own Go-Jo waves Aussie flag as Eurovision semi looms
Manjimup-raised pop singer Marty Zambotto, better known as Go-Jo, has walked the turquoise carpet at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.
The 29-year-old is scheduled to kick off the second semi-final with a performance of creamy pop banger Milkshake Man in the early hours of Friday morning, WA time.
Zambotto promised 'tricks and treats' during his three minutes on stage, as well as a giant blender and at least one costume change.
The now Sydney-based West Aussie said he looked for to getting fans to 'come into the world of the Milkshake Man'.

'I want other people to see it and be like, 'Wow, I want a taste of that',' he said.
The former East Perth footballer has gone from living off-grid on his family's farm near Manjimup to an intense schedule of press and promotional performances across Europe in the lead-up to Eurovision.
The first semifinal will be held on Tuesday, with Zambotto performing alongside favourites Austria, Finland and Malta in the second semifinal on May 15.
The Australian representative is expected to make it through to the grand final on May 17.

Channel 7's Abbey Holmes welcomes first baby, shares brutal birth ordeal

Channel 7 AFL presenter Abbey Holmes and her husband Keegan Brooksby have welcomed their first baby together, a son named Braxton. The pair shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the birth did not go exactly according to plan. 'Mummy laboured all day on Friday, only for me to be born via c section at 5:49pm on 6/6 weighing 3.585kg's,' the caption read. 'My head was faaaar too large so we had to change our plans late in the piece!' The couple's well-known friends were quick to offer celebratory messages under the birth announcement. 'Cool dude joining a cool crew,' wrote Australian comedian Dave Hughes. 'Congrats,' wrote radio presenter and AFL great Brendan Fevola. Josh Daicos' partner Annaliese Dalins commented: 'Adorable — congratulations sweetheart xx sending you and your beautiful family lots of love.'
