Texans strike first on draft day trades by working deal with Browns
Nick Caserio is already wheeling and dealing.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns have made a trade involving Day 3 picks leading into the first round of Thursday's draft. Houston will trade its 2025 fifth-round pick (166th overall) and a 2027 fifth-rounder to Cleveland in exchange for two 2025 sixth-rounders (179th and 216th overall) and a 2025 seventh-rounder (255th overall).
This isn't the first time the Texans have made a trade with the Browns. Caserio might best be known for his swindling of the deal with Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson for three first-round picks, including the one to land defensive end Will Anderson Jr. in 2023.
The Texans now own nine picks in this year's draft compared to the previous seven. Knowing Caserio, those picks will likely last for less than half of Thursday or Friday night.

Ranking the Seahawks' 3 potential CB fits in free agency
Ranking the Seahawks' 3 potential CB fits in free agency The Seattle Seahawks are still expected to sign a veteran cornerback before training camp begins. With mandatory minicamp on the horizon, general manager John Schneider could ramp up his interest in a cover-man. The Green Bay Packers released Pro Bowl corner Jaire Alexander from his contract, potentially adding another name to Schneider's list. With Rasul Douglas and Shaquill Griffin still lurking as options, we've ranked these three cornerbacks from most to least desirable for Seattle. Rasul Douglas The Seahawks hosted Rasul Douglas on a free-agent visit earlier this offseason. Douglas' aggressive mindset and veteran experience would make him a terrific fit in Macdonald's defense. He should be Schneider's primary target at the position. Shaquill Griffin Griffin arguably played the best football of his career with the Seahawks from 2017-2020. The former UCF standout has struggled to replicate that form since, but a reunion could make sense given the familiar surroundings. Griffin played in all 17 games for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, snagging two interceptions and recording 41 total tackles. Jaire Alexander Alexander doesn't qualify as a realistic target for the Seahawks. He's already reportedly garnered interest from flashier potential destinations such as the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. The Seahawks are simply looking for depth behind Riq Woolen, Josh Jobe, and Devon Witherspoon. Alexander wants to be a starter.

Ravens' AFC North rivals have trouble brewing with their star pass rushers
Ravens' AFC North rivals have trouble brewing with their star pass rushers Ravens' AFC North rivals have trouble brewing with their star pass rushers One of the final gifts that Ozzie Newsome gave the Baltimore Ravens organization was the selection of Lamar Jackson. Let that sink in for a second. After serving his organization admirably for more than two decades, there wasn't anything more that he needed to prove. Still, he added the most talented quarterback this franchise has seen and then handed the keys to new GM Eric DeCosta. Ozzie has since settled into the role of Executive Vice President, a position he has held since 2019. Lamar has won two MVP trophies. DeCosta's approval rating is soaring. Things aren't going so well across the rest of the AFC North's landscape. No one is complaining. It just seems interesting. Nothing the Cleveland Browns or Cincinnati Bengals do surprises us anymore, but what the heck is going on in the Steel City? More bad news comes for the Steelers as the AFC North crumbles around the mighty Ravens Never will you ever hear The Flock toss sympathy in the Pittsburgh Steelers' direction, but what is happening over there? A once-pristine organization is beginning to remind everyone of... well... the Bengals and Browns. Pittsburgh is no longer the elite organization it once was. The fans want a new coach, and even though Mike Tomlin has never endured a losing season, people are tired of hearing that. The Steelers haven't won a postseason game since January 15, 2017, and Aaron Rodgers' addition doesn't seem to be evoking confidence. They've lost six straight in the playoffs, and now, to make matters worse, their best defender isn't happy. T.J. Watt reportedly won't be attending mandatory minicamp. No progress has been made on a possible extension. Do you see it now? News like this is expected from the Bengals and Browns. Cincinnati has ticked off Trey Hendrickson, and Germaine Pratt, finally released on June 9, has been asking to be traded since February. The Bengals still have yet to sign two of their draftees, Shemar Stewart and Demetrius Knight Jr. The Browns... Sheesh... What can be said about Cleveland that we haven't already said 200 times? Discussing the mess they've created for themselves would require another story and 700 more words. Here's where we'll end this. Life has been kind to Ravens fans and the Baltimore media. Just take a look at the culture they have established, and while you're at it, thank your lucky stars when you lie down tonight that you aren't a fan of one of their rivals.

Washington Star Terry McLaurin Makes Major Announcement Ahead of Commanders Mini-Camp
Going into the 2025 NFL season, the Washington Commanders are a popular pick to be one of the best teams in the conference, if not the entire NFL. Thanks to the play of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels a year ago, the Commanders made a surprising run to the NFC Championship game and became one of the most exciting young teams in the league. However, there might be some trouble brewing in Washington D.C. On Tuesday, it was revealed that Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin would be holding out and not attending the Commanders' mandatory mini-camp over an ongoing contract dispute with the team. McLaurin has been away from the team throughout OTAs this spring as well as he continues to lobby for a new contract, and that absence will continue this summer at mini-camp until they can figure something out. McLaurin is in the final year of his three-year contract that was signed with Washington, and is set to earn $19.65 million in 2025. However, with the mini-camp holdout, the two-time Pro-Bowler will accrue fines of over $100k in order to send a message to the team that he is serious about getting paid. If the two sides can not come to an agreement, there is the potential that a trade takes place. Teams around the league like the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers have been floated as potential landing spots should that happen. In six years with Washington, McLaurin has 6,379 yards and 38 touchdowns. He was the top target for Daniels, who was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024, catching 82 passes for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns, a career year. If the Commanders are to make the deep run in 2025 and 2026 that many are projecting, McLaurin will likely need to be a big part of it.
