
Iowa shooting, explosion and fire leave 2 dead and 1 critically injured
Dispatchers on Wednesday night received reports of a shooting in Glenwood, a town of roughly 5,000 about 150 miles (241 kilometers) southwest of the Iowa capital of Des Moines. At least two people were shot in the home, Glenwood Police Chief Eric Johansen said in a Wednesday night news conference. An explosion shortly after the shootings led to a raging fire, Johansen said.

UPDATE 12:15 PM: MPD sent this news release: On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of St. Francis Street and N. Franklin Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim was already transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are not life-threatening. Several vehicles were struck by gunfire. The shooting happened in the parking lot at St. Francis and Franklin Streets at around 2:45 a.m. They say one man was shot and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries by private vehicle. A second person was injured by broken glass during the shooting. That person didn't receive any treatment. Multiple vehicles were struck by bullets. Several people whose cars were parked in the lot couldn't leave while police conducted their investigation. Police tape surrounded a small parking lot along St. Francis, across the street from the Temple Downtown. While we were there, police closed off another section of St. Francis Street. Molino shooting victim arrested hours later following unrelated domestic dispute: ECSO
MOLINO, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of shots being fired on Cedartown Rd in Molino on Tuesday morning. Santa Rosa County career fair set for military, veterans and their families Deputies said two cousins traveled from Atmore to a Molino home around 4 o'clock in the morning. 'A male and a female who are cousins arrive at the female's boyfriend's house. The female goes up to the door and discovers there's another female in that house. That ultimately leads to a fight that takes place right around the doorway,' Sheriff Chip Simmons of ECSO said. That's when deputies said 45-year-old Edward Lewis came out of the house and fired shots. One of those shots struck 36-year-old Aundray Butler. Lewis was arrested was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, claiming the shooting was an act of self-defense. Butler, who deputies said gave them a fake name, was taken to the hospital. After he was released, deputies said Butler was involved in another incident at a local hotel. 'We got a call on an unrelated domestic dispute and we ended up going other there this time we ascertained his true identity, found out that he had warrants on him for felony domestic violence,' Simmons said. UPDATE: Mobile police identify 2 men killed in industrial incident Butler was arrested on a slew of charges, including aggravated battery, simple assault, drug possession and fraud-impersonation for giving a false ID to law enforcement officers. 2 people shot, several buildings hit by gunfire in south Sacramento
An investigation is underway after two people were shot in the south Sacramento area on Wednesday night, authorities said. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said it happened in the area of 42nd Street and Apostolo Circle. One of the victims was located at the scene while the other showed up at an area hospital with a gunshot wound, authorities said. The severity of their injuries was not known. Several buildings in the area of the shooting were also found to have been hit by gunfire, officials said. No suspect information was available. The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
