'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 Trailer Is Shocking Fans
For those who waited for the trailer to drop just last night, you've probably inspected every moment and rewatched it about three dozen times already. But if you haven't, The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 trailer has officially dropped and it has everyone on the edge of their seats. See the official trailer below.
Now, if that three minute trailer wasn't enough to have you counting down the days until July 16, then—well, who are we kidding—everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of season 3. With new loves evolving and first loves returning, The Summer I Turned Pretty is sure to be worth the wait.
The trailer teases exciting things for its final episodes including a potential marriage, former flames reuniting, a car accident and plenty more moments from the third book that you'll enjoy.
It was the song change heard around the world. A teaser for Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty has officially dropped, and fans can't stop talking about it. The 52-second clip gives fans of Team Jeremiah a 40-second montage of their sweetest moments from the upcoming season to enjoy. But it's the last seven seconds that really got people in a frenzy.
Not only did the clip feed fans of both brothers, but Taylor Swift fans noticed a major change in music that says everything. In fact, take a look at the teaser and find out why everyone is gearing up for an exciting season.
If you're not a deep-rooted Taylor Swift fan or you don't know every lyric by heart, you might've missed this key moment in the new teaser. But Jenny Han, the showrunner and author of The Summer I Turned Pretty books, always has something up her sleeve and eagle-eyed fans have caught on.
The clip with Belly (Lola Tung) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) features the Taylor Swift song, 'Daylight,' a song that explores leaving a dark period and exploring the light of a new love. The track plays in the background of a montage of the two lovers.
But when the clip switches to Conrad (Christopher Briney) at the front door (with the candy cane!), so does the song. When he appears, the clip goes quiet and soon 'Red' begins playing with the lyric, 'But loving him was Red.'
This change might seem small to some, but certified Taylor Swift fans know there is significant meaning behind this. The song 'Red' explores the feeling of loss over an almost-perfect relationship that can't be forgotten. So, when the song begins playing over a clip of Conrad, it shows that Belly hasn't truly moved on from him and that she still holds him and their previous relationship in her heart.
As the lyric in 'Daylight' goes: 'I once believed love would be (burning red) … But it's golden,' while the lyric in 'Red' says, 'But loving him was red.' And considering Belly has loved Conrad for her entire life, it's clear he is her 'red' love.
Han has kept the secrets of season 3 close to the vest, but the synopsis of the show has given a little bit of insight on what to expect in the upcoming episodes.
'It's the end of her junior year of college, and Belly's looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life,' the synopsis reads.
'Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart.'
And while fans of the original books think they know how the third season will go, Han has said that just might not be the case.
'There are the things that [fans] know and then there are things they think they know, and then there's going to be, hopefully, things that surprise them,' she explained.
But don't fret: Han knows how to keep her fans happy and with the thrilling new teaser, it seems she is going to give everyone just what they want.

EXIT Festival Lost Government Funding After Supporting Protestors – Now, It May Leave the Country Entirely
Serbia's long-running EXIT Festival says that this summer's edition of the event might be its last in the country. The electronic event reports that its government funding and cultural grants have been revoked due to the festival publicly aligning with student-led anti-corruption protests that happened after the Novi Sad railway station collapse in November 2024, a tragedy that killed 15 people. The festival also says its sponsors have withdrawn due to pressure by pro-government entities. More from Billboard With Europe Facing Live Uncertainties, Serbia Seizes The Day With EXIT Festival Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Head to Florida for Stanley Cup Final Twenty One Pilots Drop New Single, 'The Contract,' Detail North American Tour Dates 'This is the hardest decision in our 25-year history but we believe that freedom has no price,' EXIT founder and director Dušan Kovačević says in a statement provided to media and posted to EXIT's social channels. 'With this act we are defending not only EXIT but the fundamental right to free expression for all cultural actors around the world. We invite them to stand with us in this fight.' EXIT Festival is set to happen July 10-13 in Novi Sad, Serbia. The lineup features Tiësto, The Prodigy, Eric Prydz, Solomun, DJ Snake and many others. The event has a long history with pro-democratic movements, starting in 2000 as a pro-student movement meant to fight for freedom in Serbia and the Balkan countries. Happening at the Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad, the festival has won myriad awards that have distinguished it as one of the top festivals in Europe. 'Through music, creativity, and activism, EXIT has connected generations and nations, rebuilt broken ties, and built bridges where others route to divide,' Kovačević's statement continues. 'We have brought numerous European festival awards to our country and region, along with hundreds of millions of Euros in tourism revenue and international recognition that global experts consider invaluable. 'However, ever since we publicly stood with the students of Serbia in their fight for a freer and more just society, we have been subjected to immense financial and political pressures aimed at stripping us of our fundamental rights to freedom of thought and expression. Despite being completely cut off from public funding at all levels of government, and with some sponsors forced to withdraw under state pressure, we refuse to be silenced. As a result, this year's anniversary edition will be the last to take place in a Serbia where freedom of speech is systematically suppressed.'
