Motorcyclist, 33, dies after colliding with fence near Sawtry

A 33-year-old motorcyclist died after her bike left the road and crashed into a fence. Cambridgeshire Police said the woman had been riding a red Honda GB 650 RA-K along the B1043 at Stanton Hill towards Sawtry, at about 19:45 BST on Wednesday. The woman who was from Hampton Hargate in Peterborough died at the scene, and officers believed no other vehicles were involved. Sgt Mark Atkins, said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or the bike before it happened to contact us."

Reports of a predator making two attempts to snatch children from a playground are false, police have said. Avon and Somerset Police said they are aware of social media posts suggesting a man had attempted to grab children near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, but said no such incident had been image of an alleged suspect was posted online, and a number of schools issued warnings to force said it had received a single report last month of a man behaving suspiciously near the bridge, but said the individual made no attempt to touch another person.
