
10 Glasgow restaurants in running to be crowned best burger
Organised by the Oceanic Awards, the new event seeks to spotlight not only the culinary craft behind Britain's most-loved burgers but also the hardworking teams bringing them to life.

From independent restaurants to high street favourites and street food innovators, the awards span a range of regional and national categories.
Among the local contenders for the best of Glasgow category are: NOLA Soul, Three Brothers, Dennistoun Bar-B-Que, Thundercat Pub + Diner, Bloc+, Bread Meats Bread, The Duke's Umbrella, Meat Bar, Chillos, and Smokey Trotters Kitchen.
Down to Earth, based in Glasgow, has also been shortlisted in the Best Vegan/Vegetarian Burger Restaurant of the Year category.
It is the only Scottish venue to make the shortlist in this national category.
Elsewhere in Scotland, Burger7 in Coatbridge and Burgur Grill in Hamilton have secured places on the final shortlist for the Best of Scotland award.

The ultimate winners will be revealed on September 8 at an awards ceremony held at DoubleTree by Hilton in Stoke on Trent.
