Aaron Donald Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker
Former NFL superstar Aaron Donald has sought out and been granted a temporary restraining order on April 15, 2025, against a woman who has been harassing and stalking him and his family for the past five years.
Via Jayna Bardahl of The Athletic, the Los Angeles County Central District Court issued the order, requiring Janelle Anwar to stay at least 100 yards away from Donald, his wife, their four children, and his brother. She is also prohibited from contacting or harassing him and barred from possessing firearms.
Donald, a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl LVI champion with the Los Angeles Rams, filed the petition alleging Anwar sent threatening emails, packages, and gifts over the years. The harassment became even more severe in March 2025 when Anwar allegedly threatened the life of Donald's three-year-old son, Aaric, via Google Chat.
According to court documents, Anwar believes she is married to Donald, even filing for dissolution of a nonexistent marriage last month, demanding $1,500 monthly and a $6.5 million settlement. Donald, who insists he has never met Anwar, expressed fears her delusions could lead to harm. A hearing to consider a permanent order is scheduled for May 7, 2025.
