Road reopened after tree blocks major commuter route

A tree came down on the A358 at Combe Florey, causing police to close the road. It came after the weather warning was in place for rain across the region. The road is the main route between West Somerset and Taunton, with traffic monitoring firm Inrix earlier showing heavy traffic either side of the closure between Combe Florey and Eastcombe. The road has now reopened, and signage removed. More news stories for Somerset Listen to the latest news for Somerset Follow BBC Somerset on Facebook and X.
