Good news! Whether you're a seasoned at-home manicurist or a complete nail painting novice, this simple nail art design is easy to achieve. It requires only basic skills and can be recreated effortlessly using regular nail polish. Just follow these easy steps:
'Start with a soft nude or French base, ensure your base shade is dry, then dot two small red blobs next to each other using a dotting tool or bobby pin,' says Humphrey. 'Use a fine brush to draw a tiny green stem connecting the cherries, you can add a leaf at the top if you're feeling confident. Add a teensy white dot on each cherry for the 'shine.' Finally, seal with a glossy top coat—Essie Gel Couture is my go-to.'
For a longer-lasting manicure or a more detailed design, visit your favorite salon. Since this fruity nail art trend has been popular for some time, your nail tech should have no trouble recreating the delicate look with precision.
A simple nude base works beautifully for this juicy cherry nail design, but it can also be paired with other seasonal trends to create an elevated, modern twist.'Cherry nail art works super well over a French tip as the white is a great contrast,' Humphrey says. However, it doesn't have to be white—you can opt for any contrasting shade for a unique look. 'I also think cherries look cute over a chrome or iridescent base. You could also paint your cherries over a contrasting base color, like a baby pink or baby blue—try Essie Fiji and Bikini So Teeny.'
Below, explore the best cherry nail ideas and inspirations to bookmark for your next summer manicure refresh.
This sleek manicure design combines three of Hailey Bieber's go-to nail trends: sophisticated French tips, modern chrome, and cherry nail art. You won't find a set of tips more 2025-coded than this.
If you're looking for a cherry manicure idea for an upcoming party, why not blend the design with a scattering of diamanté decals? Fruity nail art and a touch of sparkle? Sign us up.
The butter nail trend dominated in spring 2025, and it's not going away any time soon. Want to dial up the playfulness? Add a few tiny cherries for a sweet, fruity twist.
Whether you choose a glittery or glossy finish, a deep black cherry hue is the ideal companion for matching nail art. Timeless and versatile, it's a reliable choice any time of year.
A classic letterbox red paired with matching cherry nail art is a natural combination. It adds a fresh twist to the traditional tone while maintaining a sophisticated look.
If you're looking for a cherry manicure that makes a statement, try blending the classic French tip with a generous application of red crystal cherries.
Remember: your cherry nail art doesn't have to be perfectly symmetrical. Get creative with unexpected placements, such as two neighboring nails or mismatching designs across your hands.
For a touch of drama, try blending numerous nail art designs for an unexpected mix-and-match mani. Think glitter, swirls, and even a stylish base of aura nails.
If in doubt, you can't go wrong with a classic French manicure. As Humphrey previously mentioned, the white will only amplify the pop of your cherry nail design.
Fans of sculpted manicures will love this combination of cat-eye nails and 3D gel art, giving this glossy cherry design a sleek, futuristic vibe.
Going all in on your summer manicure? This collection of gingham, floral, and cherry designs effortlessly sings summer. Perfect for anyone trying to level up their nail art game in 2025.
Cherry nails don't have to be complicated. Just add two dots and a fine connecting stem for an easy, chic look. Keep it minimal by decorating only a few nails, and finish the rest with a glossy coat of crimson polish.
If you want to lean into cherry nail season, but nail art isn't your thing, take inspiration from their mirror-like shine and rich red color. A uniform, high-shine finish and opaque coat of color is more than enough to capture that juicy allure.

Actor son of murder-suicide victim issues stepdad funeral plea

An actor whose mother was the victim of a murder-suicide in France has urged her friends not to attend his stepdad's funeral. Callum Kerr, who appeared in Hollyoaks and Netflix's Virgin River, said it would be "inappropriate" for the memory of his mother, Dawn Searle, to be associated with her husband Andrew Searle. The couple's bodies were discovered by a neighbour at their country home in the Aveyron region on 6 February. The prosecutor in charge of the case previously told the BBC it was murder followed by suicide and there was no evidence that another person was involved. The statement, issued on Kerr's Instagram account on behalf of the actor and his sister Amanda, comes more than six months after the couple were found dead. It is unclear why it has taken so long for Mr Searle's body to be released by the French authorities or when his funeral is scheduled to take place. Deaths of British couple in France treated as murder-suicide Actor's grief after mum and husband die in France French prosecutors confirm how British couple died Mr Kerr, who is also a country singer in the US, and his sister said that while the investigation into the deaths was ongoing they "cannot ignore the circumstances as they stand". The statement continued: "For this reason, we must respectfully but firmly request that our mother not be included in any way in the funeral arrangements being made for Andrew." They urged friends of their mother's not to attend the ceremony and asked people not to share photographs of Mr and Mrs Searle together. The statement concluded: "It would be inappropriate for her memory to be associated with a service honouring the man who, based on all available evidence, may have been responsible for her death. "We ask for understanding, privacy and respect as we continue to grieve and seek justice for our mum." Mrs Searle's body was found in the garden of the couple's property in the hamlet of Les Pesquiès, with severe wounds to her head. Mr Searle's body was found inside their home, about an hour north of Toulouse. Police were alerted to the incident by a neighbour who had gone to check on them when they failed to turn up for a planned dog walk. Post-mortem examinations confirmed Mrs Searle suffered "multiple blows to the head with a blunt and sharp-edged object" while Mr Searle died from hanging. Mrs Searle, 56, grew up in Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders, and Mr Searle, 62, was originally from England. They previously lived in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, and married in France in 2023. Prosecutors said they had lived in the Aveyron region for five years. According to his LinkedIn page, Mr Searle previously worked in financial crime prevention at companies including Standard Life and Barclays Bank.
