A heartwarming Instagram reel has gone viral for capturing an extraordinary example of co-parenting.
In the clip, a woman's ex-partner takes her baby, whom she shares with her new partner, for a visit simply because the baby's sister missed him. The woman, Gwen, spoke to Newsweek about the video which reached over 2 million views and how her ideal co-parenting family came about.
"You know you co-parent well when your ex has your new baby over just because his sister misses him," Gwen captioned the video, pointing out her baby's older sister and her ex of 11 years in the clip.

Gwen shared the spontaneous nature of the visit, which coincidentally fell on her anniversary.
"The visit was on our anniversary and my oldest FaceTimed me saying she missed her brother, and we jokingly said, 'then come get him'—and 10 minutes later, she was walking in the door and grabbing his stuff," Gwen recounted. Both she and her fiancé were "a little shocked," but the baby's dad was only concerned about making sure he had enough snacks packed.
Gwen revealed that their co-parenting journey wasn't always so harmonious.
"Our co-parenting journey started out amicable, until I started dating after our break up," she said. "Then, it was a horror movie for about a year."
However, through persistent effort and many conversations, they achieved a breakthrough. "We are now we all are finally on the same page. All three of us," she said.
Gwen said she hopes her video serves as an inspiration for other parents navigating similar situations.
"I truly hope other moms look at this video and remember that it's not about us or how we were wronged by our exes," she said. "It's about creating positive memories around family for our kids. In a world full of 'bitter,' be the parent you would have always dreamed of and stick to it."
What Did the Comments Say?
The Instagram comments section was filled with praise and similar stories of successful co-parenting.
"I've seen some divorce stories that end well like these too," one person wrote. "Both parents got re-married, but they share custody, and the new spouses of each parent actually put some effort in the co-parenting as well. In the end, the kid got like, four parents."
Another offered an anecdote of family harmony: "I have a friend whose parents divorced. His mom and stepmom are best friends and conspire (with affection) against his dad. He has a half-brother who loves both moms."
The video's positive message resonated especially, however, with those who had experienced less friendly separations.
"Coming from a complete divorce fail, thank you both for seeing and knowing love will always need to come first in what that child needs to see, and so happy he is accepting of your son," one commenter wrote. "You guys are great people and the world needs more."

Machine Gun Kelly Thanks Megan Fox for Giving Him ‘the Ultimate Gift', Reveals Their Daughter's Name

Machine Gun Kelly has finally revealed the name of his daughter, who he welcomed with Megan Fox in March — and it's fierce! On Tuesday, June 17, the 'Cliché' singer, 35, took to Instagram to share a video of himself playing the ukulele while their child — who could not be seen — bounced in a rocker. MGK (real name: Colson Baker) captioned the post, 'Saga Blade Fox-Baker.' Though he turned the comments off on the post, it garnered nearly 60,000 'likes' in an hour. He later edited the caption to include, 'thank you for the ultimate gift,' tagging Fox's Instagram account. (Fox, for her part, has wiped her Instagram clean.) In March, MGK revealed that he and Fox, 39, had welcomed their first child together. (MGK is already dad to daughter Casie, 15, while Fox shares Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.) 'She's finally here!! Our little celestial seed,' the rocker wrote via Instagram, noting their baby girl was born on March 27. He then followed up his post with an Instagram story to clarify that the former couple had not actually named their child 'Celestial Seed' — and that the Jennifer's Body star would 'tell you the name when we're ready.' MGK and Fox's rollercoaster relationship began in 2020 and was reported to have ended in 2024, shortly after the couple revealed they were expecting. Last November, Fox shared a since-deleted post featuring a photo of herself debuting her baby bump while covered in what appeared to be black paint. 'Nothing is ever really lost,' the actress captioned the photos, seemingly referencing a previous pregnancy loss the former couple suffered. 'Welcome back 👼🏼❤️.' Despite their split, it seems as though Fox and MGK are making it work as co-parents. During his June 14 appearance at Warped Tour, a fan approached him while wearing a t-shirt with Fox's face. 'So sick,' he said, before asking to take a picture. In April, People reported that the former flames were focused on their daughter and not rekindling their romance — yet. 'They're not making any big decisions about their future together as a couple because they just want to focus on the present and this new chapter as parents to their daughter together,' a source told the outlet.

Billie Eilish Offers a Rare Look at Her Vacation Style With a Red String Bikini in Barcelona

THE RUNDOWN Billie Eilish is currently on the European leg of her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour and took a little vacation in Barcelona ahead of her U.K. shows this July. She spent a night on the beach with friends—and gave a rare look at her vacation style in the process. The singer was filmed in the Mediterranean Sea, wearing a red string bikini. See footage here on TMZ. This isn't the first time Eilish has been seen in this style of swimwear. Last July, she shared a photo of herself in a pink string two-piece: And in June 2023, she appeared in a print string bikini top in her friend Annabel Zimmer's Instagram. This April, Eilish answered questions from celebrities for British Vogue. Nicki Minaj asked Eilish about how she views herself, prompting Eilish to reflect candidly on her appearance. 'This may be an odd question, but you seem to be a bit uncomfortable with how beautiful you are at times,' Minaj said. 'I could be wrong. Many women from all walks of life have felt that their work was overshadowed by their beauty or their physical attributes. Was there ever a time in your career, or before you made it, when you wished people couldn't see you and that they could only hear the music, and really get a chance to just listen to the written words?' 'Nicki, this question made me tear up a little,' Eilish admitted. 'Well…like you said at the beginning of that question, I've never really felt very beautiful or seen myself in that way, so I definitely never struggled with the idea that it would overshadow anything, since I didn't even really see it myself. I've had to really convince myself that I am beautiful. Being a woman is hard.' She also spoke about how she unwinds while answering a question from Ariana Grande. 'I realized recently that I think my favorite thing in the world is to hangout,' she said with a laugh. 'Like, I just love being around people that I love, people that make me laugh and make me feel whole. You know: kindred souls. That's the stuff that keeps me sane. Laughing really is my cure.'
