Sharma, who has helmed films like Jeete Hain Shaan Se (1987), Maalamaal (1988), Mar Mitenge (1988), Namak (1996), and Heeralal Pannalal (1999), was taken into custody by the Haldwani Police from City Mall in Andheri on June 7, 2025. According to Samachar Shagun, the arrest was carried out by a team led by Haldwani police officer Rajesh Yadav. The case against Sharma dates back to 2013, during the time of his film Delhi Eye. He had reportedly borrowed Rs 25 lakh from a businessman and supermodel, with the promise to return Rs 50 lakh within 30 days of the film's release. Sharma issued a cheque for the promised amount, but it bounced — leading to legal action under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The businessman lodged a formal complaint in 2015, and on January 17, 2019, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Haldwani sentenced Sharma to one year in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 51.10 lakh. Though Sharma secured bail from the District and Sessions Judge in Nainital a month later, his appeal was dismissed in 2022. Following the rejection of his appeal, Sharma failed to comply with court orders and disappeared. He ignored multiple summons, warrants, and even public notices issued in Mumbai newspapers. He claimed he was unable to appear due to financial troubles and fear of imprisonment. Eventually, a non-bailable warrant was issued after an FIR (No. 0-37/2024) was filed at Kotwali Haldwani under IPC Sections 229K and 174K for his continued absence and failure to cooperate with the legal process. 'Disney won't just hand over their keys to anyone, but for this once-in-a-lifetime date, we were given the entire park for one night,' MrBeast said in the video. The lavish date night comes days after he claimed that he was short on funds and had to borrow money from his mother for his wedding. He had said that he has pumped in all his money into the channel and has little personal wealth. He began the date by taking Booysen on a $1 (Rs 85) Ferris wheel ride at a small, carnival-style amusement park. TP Solar crosses 4 GW module output, sets 3.7 GW solar cell target for FY26
New Delhi: TP Solar Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has said that it has achieved a cumulative solar module output of 4,049 MW and solar cell production of 1,441 MW at its Tamil Nadu facility as of May 31, 2025. The plant, built in compliance with Domestic Content Requirement ( DCR ) norms, is equipped to manufacture Mono PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) and TopCon ( Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact ) modules using automated and AI-driven technologies. According to the company, TP Solar is targeting 3.7 GW of solar cell output and 3.725 GW of solar module production for FY26. The Tamil Nadu plant's rated capacity of 4.3 GW is expected to be fully realised in FY26. The facility is supplying modules for Tata Power's order book, including utility-scale solar farms, hybrid energy parks, and distributed rooftop systems, in addition to third-party installations across the country. TPREL also operates a 682 MW solar module and a 530 MW solar cell plant in Bengaluru, which is functioning at full capacity to support DCR-based production. TP Solar stated that the ramp-up aligns with Tata Power's broader strategy to strengthen solar supply chain resilience and contribute to India's 2030 target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity.
