Bournemouth shop where illegal worker found could lose licence
A convenience store where officials said they found an illegal worker faces being stripped of its licence to sell alcohol.Hillside Stores in Kinson Road, Bournemouth, was raided by immigration officials on 7 November 2024, when an Indian man who had no right to work in the UK was found behind the counter.Dorset Police will apply to revoke the store's premises licence at a Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP) meeting on Wednesday.Sujeevan Muralimohan, who is responsible for the shop's premises licence, told BCP that he was "committed to upholding all legal and licensing obligations".
The man found working illegally at the business said he had started working there in mid-October 2024.Officials found he entered the UK on a student visa in 2022 but failed to enrol on his course. That led to his visa being curtailed, making him an overstayer with no right to work in the UK.The business was issued with a fine of £40,000 in January, an immigration official said in BCP papers published ahead of Wednesday's meeting.
Mr Muralimohan said the fine was cut to £5,000 "in recognition of my full cooperation with the investigation".He said he has held a premises licence since 2011 and has "operated in full compliance with licensing regulations throughout this period, with no prior remarks or violations".Dorset Police will say on Wednesday that it – along with other authorities – "no longer have confidence in [Mr Muralimohan] to uphold the licensing objectives".According to the council documents, the force will also say it was "particularly concerned" nitrous oxide canisters were found at the shop. Nitrous oxide has been classified as a class C drug "where its intended use is not legitimate and likely to be used to inhale", said police.

JoJo Siwa addresses her sexuality amid shock new romance with Chris Hughes
JoJo Siwa marked the start of 2025 Pride Month with a poignant message for her social media followers. Taking to Instagram Stories on Sunday, the 22-year-old former child star wrote, 'Happy day 1 of the happiest month. What I have learned over the last 22 years is that pride is all about love, acceptance and celebration.' She added, 'No matter who you are or what you are, you are you, you are beautiful, and you are perfect. Everyone's story is different and everyone's journey is different.' Siwa — who shocked fans when she started dating Celebrity Big Brother UK costar Chris Hughes, 32, in April — declared that the 'most beautiful thing' about love is 'that it's just love.' In conclusion, she wrote, 'Happy pride to the beautiful LGBTQIA+ community, to the allies, and to all that exist:).' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. While starring on season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, JoJo shared, 'I've always told myself I'm a lesbian, but I think being here, I've realized, "Oh no, I'm not a lesbian, I'm queer." I think that's really cool. I'm switching letters.' Later, while speaking to Us Weekly, the former Dance Moms personality said she thought the statement wouldn't make it to television. 'That was one of those conversations actually that I was having that I was like, "This will never see the light of day." I don't mind that it did, because I actually think it starts a very beautiful conversation of queer. I think queer joy is so special and so magical,' she told the outlet. She went on to reject putting her sexuality 'in a box.' 'Queer is a beautiful umbrella term for the LGBTQIA community,' Siwa emphasized. 'I think that for me to be a woman and say I have a non-binary partner, but then also say I'm a lesbian is crazy. 'I just realized within myself that the way my eyes are to the world, I think I'm just queer. It has nothing to do with anything besides that. It's nothing to be ashamed of. The world is going crazy with that one though. It flabbergasts me.' Before launching her romance with Huges, JoJo was in a brief relationship with Australian content creator Kath Ebbs, who is non-binary. Their unceremonious breakup happened at the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party in April. Back in 2022, Siwa was forced to defend herself after telling Yahoo! Life she doesn't like the word 'lesbian.' She took to TikTok to clarify her statement and address scrutiny from fans, stating, 'I never said that 'lesbian' was a dirty word.' In the interview with the publication the former Lifetime star said, 'I don't like the word itself. It's just like a lot. But I mean, at the end of the day, that's what I am.' She compared it to the word 'moist,' which some people don't like because of the way it sounds phonetically. 'It's like the word moist. It's just like… ugh!' she added, much to the dismay of some of her followers. She reiterated on TikTok, 'I never would say that it's a dirty word because it is not. It's not a bad word, it's not a slur, it's especially not a word that I am ashamed of saying or ashamed of identifying as by any means. The the blond dancer added, 'I don't hate the word lesbian. Whenever someone talks to me about my sexuality I just say that I'm gay.

Former PM Liz Truss helps notorious bare-knuckle fighter launch his new whiskey in bizarre promo video - just months after he was freed from jail
Liz Truss joined a notorious bare-knuckle fighter as he launched his new whiskey brand in a bizarre promotional video. The former Prime Minister looked in great spirits as she waved a bottle of Dougie Joyce's booze towards the camera just months after he was freed from jail. After Joyce points to the lens and says, 'just remember Dougie Joyce loves ya', Ms Truss, who led the nation for 49 days in 2022, repeats his catchphrase, saying: 'Liz Truss loves you.' The ex Conservative leader offers an awkward laugh as the traveller boxer, who attacked a 78-year-old man in a bar in 2022, adds: 'Just remember that, people, we love you all.' Ms Truss, 49, could also be seen sitting down next to Joyce for a few drinks during the launch event, which took place at Scunthorpe United's stadium last month according to a post on the fighter's Instagram. A source told The Sun that the former PM had not been paid to attend the party. 'Liz Truss either doesn't understand the implications or doesn't care,' one source said. 'Either way this is a serious lapse. 'She's a former Prime Minister and has to be extremely careful who she associates herself with. 'You have to wonder if anyone did the due diligence.' Joyce, 36, said on Instagram: 'It was a great honour to have former Prime Minister as a special guest. 'Having her there truly meant a lot and added a distinguished touch to the occasion.' MailOnline has approached representatives of Ms Truss for comment. Joyce claims to have turned over a new leaf, insisting he is devoting himself to charity work, after being released from prison. The father-of-three, who once boasted he was 'the next Tyson Fury', was jailed for the second time in quick succession in May 2024 after finding himself involved in a violent brawl with a rival family at a wake. He and his brother Tom, then 27, were handed the sentences for violent disorder by Manchester Crown Court after a shocking incident unfolded in the Vine pub in Collyhurst, Manchester. Chaos erupted in the pub for about half-an-hour as members of the Joyce and Doherty family clashed in the latest episode of a long-running feud. The two families had attended the establishment as part of a wake following the death of two young men who were part of the traveller community on October 2, 2020. Two members of the Doherty family were taken to hospital with 'significant injuries', one of whom Tom had struck on the head with a smashed beer bottle. Prosecutors explained how trouble began at about 5pm, as footage from the pub showed signs of conflict and verbal rows before it turned violent about 20 minutes later, with two groups of about 10 young men forming distinct groups. At one point Tom grabbed a bottle of beer inside the pub and smashed it, before wielding it and striking a member of the Doherty family to the face with it in the pub car park, the court heard. The victim could be seen 'covered in copious amounts of blood', before Tom was then assaulted by others. Dougie also smashed a bottle in the build up, but did not use it and dropped it. Instead, he armed himself with a plastic pipe and threw it at another man, prosecutor Constance Halliwell said. The injured men were bundled into a car and taken to the Manchester Royal Infirmary. They refused to provide statements to police and were interviewed the following year, providing no comment to questions. Dougie was handed a 13-month jail term, while Tom was sentenced to 22 months in prison. The boxer, who turned down a role on reality TV show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, was already serving a 19-month sentence for causing grievous bodily harm after launching a sickening attack on a 78-year-old man in a pub. A shocking video of the attack showed the traveller and businessman knock the recently widowed elderly man off his chair with three savage blows, before flooring him again after he got to his feet. The injuries to the man's face were exacerbated by the large golden pyramid ring he was wearing. During his time behind bars, the thug smuggled in a phone to film himself chuckling in his cell. Ms Truss's name came up in a somewhat negative context on Thursday as Keir Starmer compared Reform leader Nigel Farage's economic plans to her infamous 2022 mini-Budget. Mr Farage has sought to woo working class Labour voters by leaning left with support for scrapping the two-child benefit cap and fully reinstating winter fuel payments. But he simultaneously backs a series of tax cuts, which left experts at the Institute for Fiscal Studies saying there could be an £85billion hole in the maths. Sir Keir further questioned his ability, pointing out that Mr Farage, the Clacton MP, is currently in Las Vegas to speak at a conference promoting bitcoin. Speaking in Warrington Sir Keir said: 'Can you trust him? Can you trust him with your future? Can you trust him with your jobs? Can you trust him with your mortgages, your pensions, your bills? 'And he gave the answer on Tuesday. A resounding no.' He added: 'Apparently (Mr Farage) is in Las Vegas today at a casino, and it's not a surprise, because he said that the Liz Truss budget in his view was the best since 1986. That shows his judgment.' Over the weekend, Ms Truss appeared alongside Hungarian PM Viktor Orban at a press conference.

Former glamour model who dated host of stars before settling down with Rose West's son reveals what it's like to be the serial killer's 'daughter in law'
A former glamour model has revealed what her life is like after having another child with Fred and Rose West 's son. Emma Bradley ignored concerns from her family to settle down with Stephen West, 51, and the pair most recently welcomed a baby girl named Eden. The former topless model is said to be so besotted with her fiancee Stephen that she is planning to marry him this August at the Celtic Manor hotel in Newport. Emma's family are believed to have raised the alarm over the fact that Stephen, who once said 'there's a bit of my dad in me', had spent jailtime for seven counts of underage sex with a 14-year-old girl. But Emma moved in with Stephen to a home in Abbeymead, Gloucester, just five miles away from the 'House of Horrors' at 25 Cromwell Street where his parents committed mass murder. She has also switched careers after modelling for magazines like Nuts and Zoo in her early 20s for her current job as a nurse at Gloucester Royal Hospital. After reports of Rose being in ill health in HMP New Hall, West Yorkshire, Emma told The Sun that neither she or Stephen were aware as they have cut ties with the serial killer. She said: 'Stephen doesn't want to say anything because his main priority is the little ones. He is adamant, at this time of his life he's got a young family to protect.' Emma's family are said to have raised the alarm over the fact Stephen (above) had spent jailtime for seven counts of underage sex with a 14-year-old girl Emma shares four girls with Stephen - the eldest being 17 years old - and says they 'don't know about the family history'. She believes they are 'old enough to be aware but too young to understand'. One inside source told the newspaper that Emma's family were 'uncomfortable' with her relationship to Stephen due to his family and 'where he comes from'. They also say that Stephen, a former builder, is currently unemployed and drives a Motability Scheme car due to one of his daughter's being disabled. Another source said Emma is only with Stephen because she 'wanted attention' and added that 'she has always been like that'. The former model reportedly dated ex-Arsenal striker Paul Merson and singer Dane Bowers before settling down. Fred West (above, left) died by suicide in 1995 while awaiting trial while Rose West (above, right) is in HMP New Hall, West Yorkshire, where she is spending a life sentence Stephen was jailed for nine months in December 2004 after having an eight month affair with the 14-year-old girl, during which time he arranged for her to have an abortion. He claimed his harrowing childhood led to psychological trauma which had been a factor in the relationship. The now-51-year-old has been married twice before his engagement to Emma and has eight children in total. He is also a grandfather. He grew up in the 'House of Horrors' and cut all ties with his mother and 1999, saying 20 years later it was 'important that I did that'. Rose had blamed Stephen for her and Fred's the horrific campaign of rape, torture and murder - which included their killing of his older sister Heather - and said it was his fault that she had ended up behind bars. Stephen added: 'She rang me in 1999 with hate, blaming me for everything. She said I should have died when I was born and that I was a disgrace to the family. 'You don't need enemies when you've got family like that.' At 14 years old, his father Fred told him to dig a hole in his garden that would be used for a fish pond. But it was to be used for his 16-year-old sister's grave. The couple would often tell their other children they would 'end up under the patio like Heather' if they did not behave. Of Fred and Rose's 10 children, only seven are still alive today. Four of them are believed to have moved to other parts of the UK to begin new lives, away from the 'House of Horrors' - but three, including Stephen, have remained in Gloucester and live around ten minutes away from each other.
