Simon Cowell leaves fans truly baffled after major transformation

Daily Mirror3 days ago

Simon Cowell has long been open about his use of cosmetic procedures, but the 65-year-old's latest appearance has left Britain's Got Talent viewers stunned
Simon Cowell found himself in the spotlight after his new look in a Britain's Got Talent teaser triggered quite the stir. The 65 year old music mogul flashed a smile in a pre-recorded snippet for Saturday night's live final, which aired on May 31, declaring: "We're live from Hammersmith, it's minutes before the final, I am really excited.
"I haven't got a clue who is going to win, but that's a good thing. Thanks for watching, everyone." Yet, it wasn't the anticipated finale causing a buzz amongst viewers, it was Cowell's vastly transformed visage. Social media erupted with fans suggesting he resembled "an AI version of Simon Cowell," while others confessed to struggling to recognise him.

Before opinions could skyrocket, ITV took decisive action by disabling comments on the video, halting any further public discourse. Cowell, once an X Factor panellist and among the first male celebs to openly discuss using cosmetic injectables, has consistently refuted claims of surgical enhancement.

Addressing last year's flurry of plastic surgery gossip with a chuckle, he retorted: "I think it's hysterical. I mean it just makes me laugh - I haven't had a facelift or anything. I have had a bit of Botox but kind of nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff honestly it does make me laugh", reports the Express.
Back in 2018, music mogul Simon Cowell splashed out a cool £2,000 on a flashy cosmetic procedure known as the "21st-century facelift"—a Silhouette Soft Lift that works by threading bioplastic-infused fibres beneath the skin to perk up and firm saggy bits.
At that time, Cowell dished to the Daily Mail: "For me now, it's all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff."
Admitting he may have previously taken it too far with the nips and tucks, Cowell reflected: "There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day and didn't recognise it as me."

Nowadays, the telly stalwart credits his fresh facade to a more wholesome lifestyle. Simon credited his rejuvenated looks to hydration and clean living. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: "There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other. But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water."
Over the years, Cowell's visage has definitely taken on new shapes. Back in the '80s, well before he became synonymous with TV talent shows, Cowell was a behind-the-scenes music bod sporting a fuller face, untouched barnet, and au naturel gnashers.
As the noughties dawned with Cowell rising to fame through the likes of Pop Idol and American Idol, he maintained his signature black tee and denim combo, though the tell-tale signs of advancing years were undeniably etched on his visage.
It wasn't until the 2010s that his transformation started to attract attention. His cheeks appeared plumper, jawline more defined, and forehead smoother, sparking years of speculation about precisely what procedures he had undergone.

Clarke Carlisle wins £100k on The 1% Club for Soccer Aid

Comedian Lee Mack returned to present the show but this time he was joined by 100 celebrities and sports stars as opposed to the general public. They were put to the test in the quiz where 'the questions have nothing to do with remembering facts, but are all about logic and common sense', explains the Radio Times. The aim of the game was to make it to the end, answering the 1% question correctly to take home up to £100,000 for charity and they were successful. It's the 1% question... Three Lions, two words. What are they? #The1PercentClub At the very end of the show, only two celebrities remained with a chance at making the overall donation total £100,000. Unlike regular versions of the show, the celebrities were working together rather than against each other like members of the public would. While comedian Lloyd Griffith got the final question incorrect, former footballer Clarke Carlisle answered it correctly and won the prize money. Carlisle has also previously been named Britain's Brainiest Footballer. The prize fund included £1,000 from celebrities who were out of the show, having answered a question incorrectly. Former Leeds United defender Clarke Carlisle (once crowned Britain's Brainiest Footballer) has won £100k for UNICEF by absolutely smashing the 1% Club without even using a PASS. Leeds That 🍾👌👏🔥💪#footballnews #champions #marchingontogether #championship #footballlife ITV said: 'Find out how clever you are as Lee Mack presents the quiz where it doesn't matter how good you are at quizzes and where 100 contestants could win up to 100,000 pounds.' As pointed out by the Radio Times, the show isn't about knowing facts, it's about using your brain to answer the questions. Each player gets one pass which they can use to help them skip a question but once they have used it, an incorrect answer takes them out of the game. If they make it to the 1% question, they are asked to go down to the stage for the final question where they see if they are winners.
