Taylor Swift's Country Roots Are Showing On The Charts

Taylor Swift's Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and her self-titled debut reenter Billboard's Top ... More Country Albums chart as fans revisit her early country days. LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 20: Taylor Swift performs on stage The BRIT Awards 2013 at The O2, on February 20, 2013 in London, England. (Photo by JM Enternational/Redferns) There are rumors that Taylor Swift is working on a new album — possibly another massive pop collection. For now, the singer, her team, and her label are remaining mum on the subject, as is typically the case, as the world will hear from her when she's good and ready. As millions prepare for what may be another major pop moment, Swift's country roots are once again visible on the Billboard charts as fans revisit some of the earliest tunes in her discography, cuts and projects that helped turn her into the household name she is today. Two Swift Titles Return to the Top Country Albums Chart Swift fills two spaces on the Top Country Albums chart this week. Both of her titles return to Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country collections in the United States after being absent just last frame. Speak Now (Taylor's Version) reenters the tally at No. 48, while her self-titled debut project is back at No. 50, landing in the lowest rung on the roster. A Look Back at Taylor Swift's Country Beginnings Swift began her career with her self-titled effort, which dropped in 2006. That set — released when she was still just a teenager — produced hits like "Our Song" and "Teardrops on My Guitar" and quickly turned her into a household name. Speak Now (Taylor's Version) arrived in the summer of 2023 as part of her ongoing re-recording series, which may now be over. The updated take on Speak Now came 13 years after the original and featured slight reworkings, as well as previously unreleased tracks. Chart-Topping Success With Country Titles Taylor Swift and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) rank among the singer's eight No. 1s on the Top Country Albums chart. She's only missed the top spot with two projects, and one of them peaked at No. 2. Her self-titled full-length spent 24 weeks ruling the list, while Speak Now (Taylor's Version) managed only a pair of frames in first place. The original Speak Now, however, held on for a lucky 13 stays — her favorite number. Vinyl and Sales Charts At the moment, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) can only be found on the Top Country Albums chart, while Swift's self-titled effort is rising across multiple rankings this week. The full-length that started it all lifts to No. 14 on the Vinyl Albums roster and jumps 20 spots to No. 25 on the Top Album Sales list.

Lana Del Rey's Hit Reaches A New Peak For The Second Week In A Row

Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness' reaches a new peak on the U.K.'s Official Streaming chart for ... More the second week in a row, a decade after its release. LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 20: Lana Del Rey receives the award for Best International Female during the Brit Awards 2013 at 02 Arena on February 20, 2013 in London, England. (Photo by Samir Hussein/Redferns via Getty Images) Lana Del Rey scored the hit of her career more than a decade ago with 'Summertime Sadness.' The tune was a fan favorite when she first shared it in 2012, but it wasn't until Cedric Gervais remixed it, turning it into a radio-ready dance banger, that the world truly paid attention. That reworking, which arrived in 2013, turned 'Summertime Sadness' into a sleeper hit, the kind millions revisit when it becomes seasonally appropriate once again. Now, more than 10 years into its lifetime, 'Summertime Sadness' is finding new audiences and becoming bigger every week in the United Kingdom. 'Summertime Sadness' Climbs the Streaming Chart At the moment, 'Summertime Sadness' can only be found on one U.K.-based music ranking, the Official Streaming chart. People across the country continue to press play on the Del Rey track in large numbers, and this frame it steps up to No. 74. That marks a new peak position for the cut on the list of the most-streamed songs all across the country. A New High Two Weeks in a Row 'Summertime Sadness' has climbed to a never-before-seen peak on the Official Streaming Chart two weeks in a row. Just days ago, the track reentered the tally at No. 75 after going missing for about a month. That position beat the previous high of No. 77, which the track reached in late June 2023. Now, as July wears on, Del Rey's classic soars again. A Decade Later and Still Gaining 'Summertime Sadness' didn't reach the Official Streaming chart until September 2022, a decade after it was initially released. The song has returned to the streaming-only tally in the U.K. almost every year since, though it did completely miss the roster in 2024, oddly enough. Born to Die Gains as Well 'Summertime Sadness' is featured on Born to Die, Del Rey's major label debut album and her breakthrough project. As people in the U.K. continue to press play on the tune, the collection rises once again on the Official Albums Streaming chart, lifting from No. 36 to No. 31. It also ascends to No. 32 on the list of the most-consumed EPs and full-lengths in the U.K. At the same time, purchases of Born to Die appear to be dropping, as the set falls on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Vinyl Albums tallies.

Charli XCX at Glastonbury 2025: Livestream Her Headline Festival Set Free From Anywhere

A year-on from Brat Summer, Charli XCX looks set to leave another major cultural mark today as she plays a much-anticipated headline set on Glastonbury's Other Stage. Below, we'll outline which live TV streaming service will be streaming this headline act at Glastonbury, wherever you are in the world. We'll also explain how to use a VPN if you're outside of the UK. The 32-year-old British star, who's real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, has been one of the biggest draws on the festival circuit in the past year following the mammoth success of her sixth album Brat, with the hyper pop smash helping her claim four Brit Awards and three Grammys. Having already lit up stages this summer at Coachella in California, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, a headline slot at Lido Festival in London and a surprise guest appearance during Dua Lipa's recent Wembley Stadium show, Saturday's performance looks set to cap what has been a defining era in Charli XCX's career and help cement her status as a global pop superstar. Charli XCX is set to play the Other Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday, June 28, with the set expected to start no earlier than 10:30 p.m. BST in the UK. That makes it a 5:30 p.m. ET or 2:30 p.m. PT start in the US and Canada, while for music fans in Australia the show is set to get underway at 7:30 a.m. AEST on Sunday morning. Linear coverage will be split across all four BBC channels, with Saturday's Charli XCX performance set to be shown on BBC 1 from 10:30 p.m. BST local time. To watch the set as it happens, you can also stream a live feed from the Other Stage via the online platform BBC iPlayer, which is offering continuous livestreams from the five main festival stages across the weekend. Pyramid Stage sets are available to watch in 4K on iPlayer, while the service will also offer catch-up on more than 90 on-demand sets for up to 30 days after broadcast. BBC BBC Watch Glastonbury 2025 in the UK free BBC iPlayer has dedicated apps available for Android and Apple mobile devices, as well as a vast array of smart TVs and streaming boxes. All you need is a valid UK TV license to stream the festival. See at BBC Charli XCX at Glastonbury 2025: Can I watch in the US, Canada and Australia? While last year's Pyramid Stage headline sets by Coldplay and Duo Lipa were livestreamed to a global audience by the BBC, this year's broadcasts from the festival are back to being geo‑restricted to UK viewers only. If you find yourself unable to view the festival locally, you may need a different way to watch the entertainment from Worthy Farm. That's where using a VPN can come in handy. How to watch Glastonbury 2025 online from anywhere using a VPN If you're traveling abroad and want to watch all the big name acts at Glastonbury while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming. It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds. It can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. If you're considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform's terms of service to ensure compliance. If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider's installation instructions, ensuring you're connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN use is crucial.
