Sabrina Carpenter's New Man's Best Friend Album Cover Has Some Fans Clutching Their Pearls
We all know by now that Miss Sabrina Carpenter isn't a stranger to a risqué moment or two. The US pop star has soared through the charts and shot to main girl pop status over the past few years, thanks to her 2024 album Short N' Sweet, which featured the number one hits Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste. Since the album's release, Sabrina has gone viral on more than one occasion thanks to her cheeky on-stage innuendos, from her racy outfits and choreo to mimicking a different sexual position each night of her most recent tour during the song Juno. Her NSFW antics even sparked a flurry of Ofcom complaints this year in light of her suggestive Brit Awards performance, during which she suggestively crouched down in front of a winking backup dancer (who happened to be dressed as a royal guard). Now, she seems to have split the internet right down the middle after releasing the cover for her new album Man's Best Friend, which follows the new single Manchild. While Sabrina has long embraced her sexuality and championed female empowerment, some feel this cover doesn't quite land right, especially in the current political climate, with some worrying the (presumably satirical) message could get lost in the mix. 'One Of My Favourite Pieces Of Music I've Worked On': Mark Ronson And Raye Debut New Single 'Suzanne'
Whenever Raye teases a new record, you know it's going to be a hit. Add superstar DJ and producer Mark Ronson to the mix and you're pretty much guaranteed a song that'll shoot to the top of your 'Most Played' playlist. 'Suzanne' — the new single from the duo, released to mark the 150th anniversary of watchmaking's hottest brand Audemars Piguet — is no exception. FIND OUT MORE ON ELLE COLLECTIVE No doubt set to be the summer anthem 2025, 'Suzanne' fuses Ronson's signature feel-good beats with Raye's soulful vocals and expressive lyrics. Dropping on Friday 13 June, it's the latest project to emerge from Audemars Piguet's dedicated AP x Music programme, which supports musical talent and craft through collaboration. 'For me it's just joy,' Raye, who is Audemars Piguet's newest brand ambassador, said of the song at an exclusive press preview ahead of a special debut performance, hosted by the watchmaker. 'The song makes me so happy — I find it so infectious.' Ronson, a longtime friend of the watchmaking house, described the song as reminiscent of hanging out with your first crush on a summer day: 'slightly melancholy, but still joyous,' he said. 'This is one of my favourite pieces of music I've worked on in a long time.' Audemars Piguet has a long history of working with musical greats, from Jay Z to Quincy Jones. While Ronson has been working with the house since 2022, Raye is the latest name to join the brand's impressive list of collaborators. After penning music for everyone from Beyoncé and John Legend to Charli XCX, the ELLE UK cover star shot to fame when her breakout single, 'Escapism', hit number one on the UK charts in 2023. She went on to make history last year at the Brit Awards with six wins, including British Artist of the Year, breaking records for the number of Brit Awards a single artist received in one night. 'Suzanne' marks the first time Raye and Ronson have collaborated on a project together — and according to them both, it's been a long time coming. 'I've always been a Mark Ronson superfan,' Raye said, noting she used to work in his London studio when she was an up and coming writer. BRIT Awards 2026 to Be Held Outside London for First Time
The BRIT Awards will move to Manchester in 2026 and 2027, marking the first time the ceremony has taken place outside of London in its nearly-50 year history. Co-op Live, the venue operated by Oak View Group, will host the event on Feb. 28, 2026 and be broadcast live on ITV 1 and ITV X; 2027's date is yet to be confirmed. The BRITs has been held at various venues in the capital including Earl's Court (1996-2011), Alexandra Palace (1993-1995) and The Grosvenor Hotel (1982-1987). The first event in 1977 was held at the Wembley Conference Centre, and the BRITs became a yearly occurrence from 1982 onwards; the 2021 event was the first major event to take place in the U.K. following the outbreak of the COVID pandemic a year prior. 2026 marks the first event of the three-year stewardship under Sony Music U.K.; stewardship rotates between the three major labels, with the BRIT Committee overseeing the show's creative direction. Damian Christian, the managing director and president of promotions at Atlantic Records, a Warner Music subsidiary, served as the chair of the BRIT Committee from 2022-2025. 'Moving to Manchester, the home of some of the most iconic and defining artists of our lifetime, will invigorate the show and build on the BRITs legacy of celebrating and reinvesting in world-class music,' says Jason Isley MBE, chairman and CEO, Sony Music U.K. & Ireland. The venue's 23,500 capacity makes it the largest indoor arena in Europe. The move follows the relocation of the MOBO Awards in recent years to Coventry (2021) and Sheffield (2024), and the Mercury Prize which is set to be hosted in Newcastle's Utilita Arena in September 2025.
