'All of Ukraine is ours,' says Putin as he threatens nuclear attack and more
As hopes for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine look bleak, Russian President Vladimir Putin stirred a storm after he said 'the whole of Ukraine is ours' read more
Russian President Vladimir Putin stirred a storm yet again after he declared that Russians and Ukrainians are 'one people' and 'all of Ukraine is ours'. The assertion reflected Putin's underlying nature of rejecting Ukraine's sovereignty as the war between the two nations continues to escalate.
While speaking at a Q&A session at Russia's flagship investment event in St Petersburg, Putin was asked what his end game is in the conflict. In response to the question, Putin showcased his territorial ambition. 'I have said many times that I consider the Russian and Ukrainian people to be one nation. In this sense, all of Ukraine is ours.'
STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
While Putin's answer received rapturous applause from an auditorium full of fawning politicians and business figures in Russia, it sent shockwaves across . Putin went on with his warning against Ukraine. 'There is an old rule,' he said. ''Where a Russian soldier sets foot, that is ours. ''
Is Moscow becoming more aggressive?
Ever since US President Donald Trump has been calling for a peace deal , Moscow has adopted a softer tone in an attempt to show Washington that it is interested in a settlement. However, Putin's latest remarks were in sharp contrast to the Kremlin's recent rhetoric. Not only this, but for the first time in months, the Russian president also threatened a nuclear strike on Ukraine.
When asked how Moscow would respond if Kyiv used a dirty bomb against Russian forces, Putin vowed 'catastrophic' consequences for his enemy. 'This would be a colossal mistake on the part of those whom we call neo-Nazis on the territory of today's Ukraine,' he said. 'It could be their last mistake.' 'We always respond and respond in kind. Therefore, our response will be very tough,' he added.
During former US President Joe Biden's time at the White House, the Kremlin used to give nuclear threats almost weekly, but the sabres stilled when Trump returned to the Oval Office. Putin's recent remarks reflected how Russia might no longer be concerned about which way Trump is heading.
Meanwhile, amid the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel , Trump appears to have distanced himself from trying to mediate the Russia-Ukraine conflict but still seems to be pursuing warmer ties with Moscow. Both Trump and Ukraine are yet to respond to Trump's remarks.

Donald Trump's Self-Endorsed Nobel Peace Prize Nomination Sparks India-Pakistan Diplomatic Storm
US President Donald Trump has once again demanded the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming he deserves not just one — but four to five of them. Speaking to reporters, Trump said his role in resolving the India-Pakistan conflict, as well as efforts in places like Rwanda, Congo, Serbia, and Kosovo, should have earned him the honour multiple times. His remarks came after Pakistan nominated Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, claiming his "decisive diplomatic intervention" helped secure a ceasefire between India and Pakistan following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack and India's bold response under Operation Sindoor. According to a report by Dawn, the Pakistani government credited Trump's leadership as "pivotal" in de-escalating the situation, even labelling him a "genuine peacemaker." However, the Indian government has categorically denied any US involvement in the ceasefire. India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri clarified that there were no trade talks or mediation discussions with the US during the crisis. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly made it clear to Trump that any resolution was strictly bilateral and had nothing to do with any external actor.#donaldtrump #nobelprize #nobelpeaceprize #pakistan #trumpnobelprize #operationsindoor #indiapakistanconflict #modireacts #pakistanpolitics #trumpnews #usforeignpolicy #indiaresponds #nobelnomination #geopolitics #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews Read More

Rs 3200000000000000: This huge amount is giving US president Trump sleepless nights, he is now begging before China due to... Difficult days are ahead for Prsident Donald Trump as US's national debt has crossed $37 trillion (about Rs 32 lakh billion). This has rung alarm bells in the financial and policy world. The cost of paying interest on the debt is reaching about $1 trillion every year. This level can soon cripple the federal budget. It can stop the essential work of the government. As of June 20, the US government owes more than the country's entire economy in a year. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that if there is no major reform, the debt will reach 156% of GDP by 2055. Currently, an annual deficit of $2 trillion is increasing the debt. This is happening due to increased spending and slow growth in revenue. The biggest threat is the interest bill. About a quarter of the federal tax income is now being spent on repaying the debt. This means that less money will be left for programs like Social Security, Medicare, national defense and infrastructure. Millions of Americans depend on these programs. The debt of $37 trillion is a matter of great concern for US in many ways. It affects US's economic policies and global relations. It is also considered to be the reason behind Donald Trump's softening of tone against China in the trade war. This loan can create many problems Budget cuts aren't the only threats. Economists say this debt route could reduce private investment, raise borrowing costs and hamper economic growth. The CBO estimates that if the debt is not brought under control, GDP could be reduced by $340 billion over the next decade, it could lose 1.2 million jobs and slow wage growth. Raising interest rates would worsen the damage. As global lenders demand higher returns to finance the U.S. deficit, borrowing costs will rise for businesses, homeowners and the federal government. Threat of financial crisis is increasing on US The risk of a financial crisis is increasing. If investors lose faith in the government's ability to manage finances, there could be a sharp rise in interest rates or a collapse of the dollar. This could weaken economic stability. There could be global shocks. However, the US economy is still growing. But its pace has slowed down considerably. This year GDP growth is estimated to be just 1.4%–1.6%. Unemployment is rising. Inflation is still above target. The margin for error is shrinking. The old sayings of economists, business leaders and people like Elon Musk are now coming true. If America continues on this path, not only will future generations pay the price for it, but this crisis may come very soon.

Migration surges in and out of Italy, hitting decade-high levels
Italy is witnessing its highest levels of both immigration and emigration in a decade, according to new data released by the country's statistics agency, Istat. The figures highlight growing concerns over labour shortages, brain drain, and demographic shifts. In 2024, 3,82,071 foreigners moved to Italy , slightly up from 3,78,372 in 2023, marking the highest inflow since 2014. At the same time, 1,55,732 Italians left the country, compared to 1,14,057 in the previous year. This is also the highest level of emigration recorded in the last ten years. Together, nearly 2,70,000 Italians emigrated over the past two years: a 40% increase compared to the 2021–2022 period. Immigration over the same time rose 31%, reaching nearly 7,60,000 entries. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Semua yang Perlu Anda Ketahui Tentang Limfoma Limfoma Pelajari Undo The figures are based on Italy's town registry data and do not include undocumented migration. Labour shortages and economic stagnation have made it difficult to retain citizens, especially younger Italians. According to Istat, low wages are one reason for the rising emigration trend. Italian salaries, when adjusted for inflation, remain lower than they were in 1990. Many Italians are leaving in search of better economic opportunities abroad. Istat noted that some of those counted as emigrants may be former immigrants who acquired Italian citizenship and later moved to other countries. The report also pointed to internal migration within Italy. Calabria-the country's poorest region by income, saw nearly 1% of its population relocate to central or northern Italy in 2023–2024.
