Lorraine Stanley played the role of Karen Taylor until last year when bosses decided to axe her character in 2023.
Her character initially fled to Spain before returning for a number of short stints in 2024 after the death of her on-screen son Keanu (Danny Walters).
A year after her last appearance on EastEnders, the star looks happier than ever as she celebrated her 49th birthday with her family.
She took to Instagram with a number of snaps as she posed with her partner, Mark Perez, and her daughter Nancy, 10, on the doorstep of her home.
The former actress flaunted her five-stone weight loss as she donned a sleeveless pastel blue dress with flared arm panels.
She put on a leggy display in the thigh-length summer ensemble which was emblazoned with floral detail as she wore chic white platform sandals.
Lorraine captioned the post: "Well hello 49!!! So many exciting things happening this year!!
"I feel so lucky. Thank you for all the love."
In an apparent dig to her days on the soap, she wrote: "I'm the happiest I've been in years!!!"
However, her former co-stars and her fans flooded the comments section with well wishes.
Kellie Bright - who still stars as Linda Carter on the soap - wrote: "Happy Birthday gorgeous woman."
Former I'm A Celebrity campmate Danielle Harold simply left a love heart face emoji.
While a fan gushed: "Happy birthday princess."
While a fifth person gushed: "Happy Birthday to one of the best."

Emmerdale star Joe Absolom hints at when Ray story will end

Joe Absolom, a new face to Emmerdale, has opened up about how long his storyline will last. Joe plays Ray Walters in the ITV soap, a drug dealer. In May, when his casting was confirmed, Joe said: 'Well what an honour to join such a talented team at Emmerdale! It's an iconic show and I'm grateful to be part of it. I can't wait to see what's in stock for Ray!' Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw added: 'We are thrilled to welcome Joe Absolom to the cast. 'It's fantastic to have such a high calibre and immensely talented actor join our wonderful team to play the role of Ray. 'Charming, charismatic and effortlessly likeable, Ray is an extremely complex character who very quickly shows his dark and villainous side to some of our most loved villagers, leaving them in no doubt as to what he's capable of.' He first visited the village after being contacted by Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). Ray was interested in the weed plants Mack, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) were growing, but was sent on his way when the Barton brothers told him the products were no longer for sale. The plants disappeared because Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) stole them and gave them to Ray for money. In recent weeks, Ray has been seen talking to Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle). These scenes confirmed that he's been paying him to do 'drugs drop offs'. Joe, who is 46, is best known for his role as Matthew Rose in EastEnders. He recently appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk to Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley about his new role, and the difference in working at Emmerdale over EastEnders. 'I did EastEnders a long time ago and it was fun but Emmerdale is genuinely a very nice place to work. I keep waiting for someone to tell me that this isn't the real job. 'The crew is really good and the set is basically a proper place. They can film anywhere. That means you can work quickly but you don't feel rushed. EastEnders was rushed and it just feels nicer.' Joe went on to confirm that his contract for Emmerdale will end this November, meaning Ray will cause trouble in the village for quite a while. 'When I did EastEnders, there wasn't anything else to do. So, I've got kids now, and they won't sit down at seven and watch telly in the same way I did or my friends did. So I think there's a duty to find where the television now fits', he added, discussing the current changes in how we consume TV. 'It changes, and it is changing. We're streaming and stuff like that, I don't know if that's gonna carry on forever because that does get a little boring. 'I think it will [come round again], I think there will always be a place for it but if it's where it once was, I don't know.' This week, Ray will find Dylan in the village again and tempt him with another job. The difference this time around though, is that Dylan's friend April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) will find out about it. She gives him permission to go ahead but is hit with a shocker when Dylan reveals it's her Ray wants to complete the job, not him. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? This was not on her 16th birthday bingo card and April is left terrified but torn as to how to help Dylan. Ray manipulates her into doing the drug drop, and just like that, April is now involved in a dangerous drugs ring. More Trending Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is oblivious and gives April and Dylan's relationship his blessing. She hugs her dad but is filled with dread as she eyes the backpack full of drugs just over his shoulder. April might think she knows what she's getting into, but she has no idea the risks she faces. How will Dylan save her? Cocaine shame of the school-gate mums: I thought I was unshockable says ANNA MELTON... then I watched them pull out their 'treats' in the most immoral place imaginable

My five-year-old son Jack* had only been at primary school for a few weeks when we were invited to a birthday party for one of his classmates. Though I barely knew the birthday boy's mum – a glamorous fashion buyer who I'll call Cleo – she was warm and welcoming when we arrived at their beautiful double-fronted property in south London, spread out over four floors.

Vogue Williams reveals she's quit alcohol after teetotal husband Spencer Matthews told her to 'lay off' - months after boozy blackout at star-studded wedding

Vogue Williams has revealed she's quit alcohol after her husband Spencer Matthews suggested she 'lay off the booze' following bouts of binge drinking. The TV presenter, 39, shares three children with the former Made in Chelsea star, who recently stopped his occasional drinking to return to total sobriety. Vogue has previously described herself as a 'binge drinker' because 'I don't really like the taste of alcohol, so if you see me drinking alcohol, I'm drinking it for one reason... to get drunk.' Now, Vogue has revealed that she decided to take a three-month break from booze after Spencer, 37, suggested she should. 'Spencer was drinking, like, little bits and bobs... and then he went tee-total again,' Vogue explained. 'And as soon as he decided he wasn't drinking again, he turned around to me and he was like, "Would you not consider it now - with your drinking?"' Speaking this week on her podcast, Never Live It Down, Vogue elaborated: 'When I say I drink f*** all - like, I rarely drink. I don't even like the taste of it and he's telling me that I need to lay off the booze. I was like, Spenny, I barely drink - it's only because you're not drinking.' However, the Irish star, who married former party boy Spencer in 2018, has ultimately opted for a three-month break from alcohol - admitting that her friends were less than enthusiastic. 'I'm taking like three months off booze and there was no support at all. I told all my friends - they're like, "Urgh, don't tell us! At least don't tell us". 'I just kind of feel like it. I don't want to be hungover. Three seems like a good number and I'm always saying I'm not going to [drink]. 'I think nothing good happens after midnight… all those nights you stayed up talking s***? Such a waste of time.' The decision comes just three months after Vogue made headlines for admitting she got so drunk at YouTuber Jack Maynard's lavish French wedding to £440 million heiress Lily Mackie that she blacked out. Attending the May nuptials at the five-star Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence with Spencer and their two eldest children, Theo, five, and Gigi, three, Vogue confessed she 'didn't remember getting into the hotel room' after an enthusiastic session at the reception's margarita bar. 'It was the nicest wedding I've ever seen in my entire life,' she said at the time. 'I got excited because there was a margarita bar… and the next day, I woke up and I remembered the last bit of the night but I definitely didn't remember getting into the hotel room.' The couple's youngest child, Otto, two, stayed at home for the trip, while the Matthews family joined a guest list that included influencers Caspar Lee and Josh Pieters, singer Conor Maynard and his siblings, as well as members of the Middleton family. Jack's wife Lily is the niece of Pippa Middleton's husband, James Matthews, Spencer's older brother. While Vogue laughed off her overindulgence at the time, waking up next to her sober husband sparked a pang of embarrassment. 'I was looking at Spen and I was like [makes despairing noise] - you know when you're quite nervous,' she recalled. 'And as I went up to the wedding party, lots of people went, "How's the head?" and I was like, oh no…' The model-turned-broadcaster has often contrasted her casual drinking habits with Spencer's more public journey to sobriety. Once known for his wild partying on Made in Chelsea, Spencer quit drinking in 2018 after admitting alcohol had become a 'problem' in his life. He went on to launch CleanCo, a low- and no-alcohol drinks brand, and has frequently spoken about the benefits of staying sober. Although Spencer has previously admitted he has the occasional drink, Vogue says his return to full abstinence came with a push for her to follow suit - which she has now agreed to do.
