Denver weather: Much warmer and sunnier days ahead

Skies will clear overnight Saturday as temperatures fall into the 20s across the region. Mountainous areas and a few locations on the plains will be in the teens. Winds will be light from the southwest.
Stubborn clouds Saturday will give way to blue skies Sunday as temperatures return to seasonal values around 60 degrees. Clouds may increase a bit in the late afternoon and evening, but no precipitation is forecast.
The warming trend continues on Monday when it returns to the middle 60s underneath still sunny skies. 70s return starting Tuesday, but Tuesday and Wednesday will feature gusty winds again.

By Friday, temperatures will again be knocking on the door of 80 degrees, with next Saturday also presenting a good opportunity for May-like temperatures.

Potentially strong storms, flooding overnight in El Paso area– Your 9-Day Forecast
I issued the Weather Authority Alert yesterday for Tuesday due to the potential for strong storms and intense rainfall. That certainly happened tonight with several streets and arroyos flooded with water. A Flash Flood Warning is posted until 10:15 PM for west and central El Paso. Cars have stalled in the flood waters on Mesa Street. In addition, a Flood Advisory is posted until 11 PM for central and northeast El Paso, including Fort Bliss. Do not drive into flooded roadways. The skies will be partly cloudy, but due to the high instability and moisture levels, storms will develop that could be stronger this evening. Heavy rainfall is possible out of individual storms. Do not drive into flooded roadways. Storm chances last well into the night/early morning. The east winds will range from 5-20 mph with stronger gusts near storms. The low will drop to 72. FORECAST: Wednesday will be partly cloudy with only a slight chance of isolated area storms in the evening. Rain chances go way down for Wednesday, and the high will be 96.
