Anglesey pub set for grand re-opening after £280k makeover

The Penrhos Arms, in Llanfairpwll, closed in November but has undergone a complete and external transformation under pub company Punch Pubs & Co.
The establishment will re-open this July with new publicans at the helm -Simon Male, known as Lee, and Pauline Nolan.
Seasoned operators with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, the duo are eager to transform its reputation while restoring it to the heart of the community.
Simon said: 'Pauline and I have been running pubs for a considerable amount of time, and when we were approached to take over the Penrhos Arms, we immediately agreed.
"It's a fantastic pub, but it needs some TLC, and the locals are crying out for this refresh to bring it back to life.
'Our ambition is to ensure the pub becomes the go-to place, whether that's for a nice meal, casual drink, or to sit back and relax, we want it to be a welcoming and inclusive space, and we can't wait to get in there.'
The six-week transformation project promises extensive upgrades both inside and out, with guests expected to be amazed by its new look.
Externally, the front and rear gardens will be refreshed with vibrant signage, a pristine coat of paint, and inviting new seating areas, perfect for families to relax and enjoy during the summer months.
Inside, £70,000 of the substantial investment will be spent on all-new fixtures and fittings, bringing a modern yet traditional feel, while adding freshness and a touch of colour.
The pub's trading area and bar are being upgraded to provide a welcoming atmosphere, featuring a new range of beers, ciders, wines, soft drinks, and gins for guests to choose from.
Aside from cosmetic details, Lee and Pauline are putting a huge focus on the pub's food offerings.

With its grand reopening, the Penrhos Arms is poised to become a vibrant hub for the local area once again, and Lee and Pauline's new chapter is all about bringing joy and connection to all who walk through its doors.
