Drawing its name from Grenoble, which hosted the 1968 Olympic Games, the label harkens back to whenMonclersupplied the French national ski team with uniforms. With names likeAnne Hathaway,Adrien Brody, and among the attendees of the last show, the US-based presentation is poised to attract a similar celebrity crowd. In line with Moncler's immersive presentations, the previous show took place during an active blizzard at Europe's highest airport, more than 6,500 ft.
Moncler announced its US-based Grenoble show after itsH1'25 earnings reportlast week, which showed a 1% decline in Q2 revenue, which it attributed to lower tourist spending in Europe and Japan. Amazon cuts 110 jobs in reorganization of Wondery audio division
Amazon on Monday said it is cutting 110 roles from its audio division Wondery as part of a restructuring effort. The cuts reflect an industry shift toward producing more podcasts with video, a format that has become more popular with consumers who listen to their favorite hosts on platforms including YouTube and Spotify. The layoffs also mark the latest sign of contraction in the once burgeoning podcast industry. In June, Spotify laid of 5% of staff in its podcast division and Philadelphia-based Audacy shut down New York-based Pineapple Street Studios. 'As video podcasting has grown in popularity, we have learned that creator-led, video-integrated shows have different audience needs and require distinct discovery, growth and monetization strategies compared to audio-first, narrative series,' Steve Boom, vice president of audio, Twitch and games at Amazon, wrote in a memo to staff. Under the changes, Amazon will combine Wondery's narrative podcast studio with audio books and podcast division, Audible. Wondery staffers in its creator-led podcast studio will be part of a new organization called creator services with Amazon's talent services group. Amazon acquired Wondery in 2020 for an undisclosed amount. The Culver City-based company is known for producing podcast series including 'Dr. Death' 'American Scandal' and 'The Shrink Next Door.' Amazon said the restructuring will help it better support creators across different channels to monetize their content and simplify the process for advertisers, while also 'making the content more accessible to audiences wherever they prefer to consume it.' Wondery CEO Jen Sargent is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, Amazon said. Ray Wang, principal analyst of Constellation Research, said the reorganization will help the company grow its ad business. 'This makes a lot of sense given how advertisers view both formats,' Wang said.

Marc Jacobs Drops All-New 72 Spring Sneaker
Marc Jacobsisn't known for running sneakers. Aligning with his bold personality, the NYC-based designer's footwear has always been more dramatic than particularly functional: think knee-high platform heels and glossily leather loafers. But today he's unveiled the 72 Spring Sneaker, a Y2k-inspired tech runner unlike anything the designer has introduced before. The model arrives at the tail-end of a wave of flat-soled vintage sneaker silhouettes coming from designer labels includingMiu Miu's Gymnasium,Loewe's Flow, andDries Van Noten's Suede model. Before the 72 Spring Sneaker, Jacobs' existing sneaker silhouettes had grown dated, with shoes like the Lazy Runner and Jogger characterized by a flamboyant chunky silhouette. The latest sneaker is noticeably slimmer, but it includes a busier upper composed of mesh and various technical-looking overlays. Eye-catching colorways like a fuchsia/green variant and a yellow/brown variant stand out, while all-black and all-white options offer a more discreet version. Elsewhere, a distressed denim version marks the biggest contrast in the assortment, featuring frayed threads and an indigo twill textile upper, and an all-brown suede provides a dose of elegance. There's a reason why the design is so distinct from the designer's other footwear models. Marc Jacobs tapped design and engineering studio Areté to master the model. With footwear clients likeRaf Simons,Stone Island,ERL, andA-Cold-Wall, it's no wonder that the 72 Spring feels much more sophisticated than, say, the Marc Jacobs Jogger. The model surely has legs, with a sensibility comparable to Miu Miu andNew Balance's popular530collaboration and other trending models. The unusually diverse color assortment plants the seed for future developments, perhaps turning up embellishments, experimenting with new materials, or opening the design to collaborations. Marc Jacobs' surprise sneaker drop comes just a week after multiple reports hinted at a possible sale of the brand from LVMH to another brand management firm. As of the time of writing, the rumors have yet to be confirmed by Marc Jacobs and LVMH. The Marc Jacobs 72 Spring Sneaker is offered at $225 USD at the officialMarc Jacobs webstoreand select retail locations.

Dropkick Murphys called Donald Trump a 'First Class Loser.' Will they do that in Indiana?
The Dropkick Murphys have never been shy in their criticism of President Donald Trump, which is something Hoosiers might experience firsthand when the band takes the stage Tuesday in Indianapolis. The Massachusetts-based punk rock group played an unflattering video of Trump during a rendition of 'First Class Loser' at their July 27 Warped Tour performance in Long Beach, California. The video included footage Trump palling around with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It's unknown whether the band will do the same again Tuesday in Indianapolis. Here's what happened. 'This next song is dedicated to a guy who wears orange makeup, (defecates) his pants in his diapers, rapes women, touches kids,' said Dropkick Murphys vocalist Ken Casey. 'It's called 'First Class Loser.'' Trump was found liable for sexual abuse in a 2023 civil court case against E. Jean Carroll, a lauded writer and a former graduate of Indiana University. Check out a video of the song below, but mind the language. Story continues after photo gallery. Casey has been vocal in his criticism about Trump and his supporters in recent months. The frontman delivered a pointed critique of MAGA hats during the band's show March 15 at MGM Music Hall in Boston. 'Silence is complicit at this point,' Casey said during an interview with Boston radio station WBUR. 'So to be making fluff music about stuff that isn't of importance at the moment, I really just think is shirking away from the fight.' The Dropkick Murphys, natives of Quincy, Massachusetts, recently released the album 'For the People,' which includes the anti-authoritarian anthem 'Who'll Stand with Us?' (Warning: The following video contains strong language.) The group plays at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, with Bad Religion at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park. Tickets to watch the Dropkick Murphys perform in Indianapolis run $40 to upwards of $157 and are available at Find Dropkick Murphys tickets on TicketMaster The show is part of the band's Summer of Discontent tour. After Indianapolis, they perform Aug. 6 in Buffalo, New York. Chris Jordan, a Jersey Shore native, covers entertainment and features for the USA Today Network New Jersey. Contact him at cjordan@
