Israeli forces order evacuation of residents from Tal Al-Sultan of Gaza's Rafah

CAIRO – 23 March 2025: The Israeli army issued an order on Sunday for the immediate and full evacuation of the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza, designating the area as a 'dangerous combat zone.'
Israeli forces have resumed attacks on Gaza since last week, breaking a ceasefire that had allowed for the release of dozens of captives taken by Hamas during the 7 October 2023 attacks.
Extensive airstrikes have targeted several parts of the enclave and ground operations have been renewed, resulting in over 600 fatalities among Gazans. The US has expressed 'full support for Israel and the Israeli army in the actions they've taken in recent days.'
The Israeli army instructed residents of Tal Al-Sultan to walk to the so-called 'humanitarian area' in Al-Mawasi, according to the Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA).
Al-Mawasi has experienced mass killings of civilians by the Israeli army over the course of the war besides lacking essential infrastructure, including water, leading to the spread of diseases.
Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, Israel has repeatedly evacuated residents from various areas and also launched assaults without warnings, killing nearly 50,000 fatalities, most of whom are women and children, and forcing most of the population to leave their homes.

Fire Erupts at Oil Storage Facility South of Tehran (Video)

Taarek Refaat A large fire broke out on Sunday at an oil storage facility located south of Tehran, according to a report by Reuters. Footage circulating on social media showed massive flames and thick plumes of black smoke billowing from a built-up area near the capital. The video, which quickly went viral, captured the intensity of the blaze as emergency sirens wailed and fire trucks rushed to the scene. View this post on Instagram A post shared by TRT World (@trtworld) Reuters independently verified the location of the incident by matching the street layout, nearby buildings, pedestrian bridge, and commercial signs in the footage with archival images and satellite data. The date of the fire was also confirmed using documented reports and visual evidence. Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the fire, nor whether there were any casualties or damage estimates. Emergency services were seen deploying multiple units to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. The incident raises renewed concerns over the safety protocols in place at critical energy infrastructure sites in Iran, particularly as the country grapples with aging facilities and regional tensions. As of now, there has been no official statement from Iranian energy officials or the National Iranian Oil Company regarding the extent of the damage or the impact on local fuel supply chains. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

9 Killed in Armed Attack in DR Congo

Israa Farhan At least nine people were killed in an armed assault in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, according to local sources on Sunday. The attack took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday in the town of Oicha, where armed assailants targeted civilians, looted shops, and set homes ablaze, eyewitnesses told AFP. Isaac Kavalami, head of the local civil society organisation that brings together unions and associations, reported that eight civilians and one police officer were killed during the incursion carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF). A journalist at Oicha General Hospital morgue confirmed seeing nine bodies, some of which bore stab wounds. Congolese army spokesperson Marc Elongo accused ADF militants of carrying out the assault, saying in a statement that the group had chosen to retaliate against civilians in response to ongoing military operations in the area. Oicha lies about 30 kilometres north of Beni, which serves as the Congolese army's military command centre in North Kivu province. The ADF, originally a Ugandan rebel movement, has been active in eastern Congo for decades and is accused of killing thousands of civilians in a campaign of violence that has intensified in recent years. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Spain to Deploy 500 More Troops to Battle Wildfires

Israa Farhan Spain is set to deploy an additional 500 soldiers to tackle raging wildfires as record-breaking heat continues to fuel blazes across the country. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced the move on Sunday, bringing the total number of military personnel fighting wildfires to more than 1,900. The reinforcements come as firefighters struggle to contain dozens of fires, particularly in Galicia, where parched forests have been burning for over a week. Regional leader Alfonso Rueda confirmed that firefighters are currently battling 12 major blazes near the city of Ourense. Authorities have ordered evacuations and imposed lockdowns in several areas as flames threaten homes and farmland. European allies are also expected to send aircraft to support Spain's firefighting operations. The Spanish Meteorological Agency warned that temperatures could soar to 45°C in some regions on Sunday, following Saturday's peak of 44.7°C in Córdoba. Officials said the risk of wildfires remains at an 'extremely high' level across much of the country. According to the EU's Forest Fire Information System, wildfires in Spain have already destroyed 158,000 hectares (390,000 acres) of land this year, an area nearly the size of Greater London. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
