The final results of the team competitions saw Egypt in first place, Kuwait in second, the United Arab Emirates in third, Libya in fourth, Syria in fifth, and Sudan in sixth, while Egypt took the top three places in the individual category. President of the Kuwaiti Modern Pentathlon Federation and first vice president of the Arab Federation, Nasser Al-Waleed, said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the competition in this tournament was strong and friendly, reflecting the impressive athletic level of the Kuwaiti team. He emphasized that this achievement was the result of the great support provided by the Kuwait Olympic Committee, expressing his gratitude for its sponsorship and continued support for the stars of the national team. Six Arab countries participated in the Arab championship, which kicked off yesterday: Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Libya, Syria, and the host country, Egypt. Al-Nassr knocks Al-Ittihad out of the Saudi Super Cup to reach the final

HONG KONG, Aug 19: Al-Nassr booked its spot in the Saudi Super Cup final with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Al-Ittihad in the semi-final held in Hong Kong. Sadio Mané and João Félix scored for Al-Nassr, while Steven Bergwijn netted Al-Ittihad's lone goal. Red cards have become a recurring theme for Al-Nassr in recent Super Cup editions. This time, Sadio Mané was shown a red card in the 25th minute after a strong challenge on Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Hamed Al-Shanqeeti, following a VAR review. Al-Nassr has now seen at least one player sent off in each of the last three Super Cup tournaments. The trend started in 2024 when Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off against Al-Hilal, and last season, Marcelo Brozović received a red card in stoppage time despite a 2-0 semi-final win over Al-Taawoun.
