Bridgeport man arrested after fatal overdose investigation, police say
MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man was arrested on Thursday in alleged connection to the overdose death of a woman on March 15, according to police.
Police say Gerome Eldridge, 43, sold drugs to a 28-year-old woman who was found dead in the Super 8 Motel at 1015 Boston Post Road in Milford.
Detectives seized the victim's cell phone and found text conversations between her and Eldridge regarding purchasing drugs. Also found in her motel room were pills believed to be Xanax, unknown pills and powdered white substance believed to be crack cocaine.

An arrest warrant issued for Eldridge charged him with illegal distribution of narcotics and $50,000 bond.
During his arrest at the Motel 6 at 111 Schoolhouse Road in Milford, police say they found materials including multiple narcotics pills, a large box containing what is believed to be cutting agents, numerous wax fold packaging materials, baggies, numerous drug scales with residue, 12 cell phones and over 23 grams of suspected marijuana.
A police search of Eldridge's car revealed cocaine, opiates and Xanax.
Eldridge was arrested and additionally charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, operation of a drug factory and narcotics not in original container.
He was issued an additional $50,000 bond and transported to Milford court on Friday,

Police investigate after car wanted by police strikes unoccupied cruiser in Wethersfield
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a car wanted by police struck an unoccupied police cruiser on Sunday in Wethersfield. Around 1:31 a.m., police said they responded to the Cumberland Farms on Berlin Turnpike to assist with investigating a Nissan Kicks wanted by Hartford police because it was not returned to its owner. Wheelchair user fatally struck by car in New Haven Newington police saw the Nissan Kicks parked in the Cumberland Farms parking lot near the Newington town line and called in the Wethersfield police. Police said that as they approached the parked Nissan, the operator struck the front end of the police cruiser as they drove out of the parking spot. Mass. man sentenced to prison for trafficking counterfeit Adderall containing methamphetamine
BOSTON (WWLP) – A Lowell man was sentenced to prison last Wednesday for possession and distribution of counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine. Charging documents stated that 39-year-old Brian Gingras of Lowell was a drug supplier involved in the Asian Boyz Gang distribution network. Investigators found that between May 2022 and September 2022, Gingras delivered over 5,000 counterfeit Adderall pills to ABZ gang member Bill Phim. Mass. man arrested following deadly crash in November During this time, Phim reportedly then sold the counterfeit pills to an undercover federal agent for over $18,000. The pills were discovered through chemical testing to contain a dangerously high level of methamphetamine and caffeine. For his role in the conspiracy, Phim was sentenced in May 2025 to ten years in prison. Law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Gingras' home, where they found hundreds more counterfeit Adderall pills, counterfeit Xanax pills, and a pill press. Officers also found a storage unit containing a loaded firearm, over 30 kilograms of counterfeit Adderall pills containing only caffeine, bags of marijuana, and boxes of THC extract and edible products. In January 2025, Gingras pleaded guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute and to Possess with Intent to Distribute 50 grams or more of Methamphetamine, and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute 50 grams or more of Methamphetamine. Gingras was sentenced on June 4 to nine years in prison, followed by four years of supervised release.
