Chivu Aims To Become The ‘Democratic Dictator' As Inter Milan Coach
Today's print edition of the Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, highlight the Romanian coach's approach, and his focus on heralding change at the San Siro.
Cristian Chivu took over as Inter Milan coach at the start of June.
And the Romanian has a tough task on his hands. He is replacing Simone Inzaghi following the 49-year-old's shock departure for the riches on offer at Al-Hilal.
Considering that Inzaghi had spent four years shaping Inter in his image, Chivu will have his work cut out for him trying to put his own spin on the team.
Cristian Chivu Aiming To Become The 'Democratic Dictator' Of Inter Milan

According to the Corriere della Sera, Chivu wants to become Inter's 'democratic dictator.'
On the one hand, the 44-year-old coach wants to make sure that his authority is total and unquestioned.
Chivu will not defer to the dressing room leaders at Inter. He has been clear from the start that the team is his, his decisions are final, and he is the one accountable for the performances.
However, Chivu will work with the team to find a formula that works.
The Romanian is likely to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. But he will not be dogmatic about it.

Revealed – How Inter Milan Plan To Afford €35M Fee For Parma & Italy U21 Star
Inter Milan will aim to fund a deal for Giovanni Leoni with sales, but not the sale of a major defender. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. They report that the Nerazzurri could bring in €35 million from the sales of some fringe players. Inter Milan have identified Parma's Giovanni Leoni as their top target in defense. However, the 19-year-old will not come cheap. The least that the Gialloblu would let the 19-year-old go for would be around €35 million. And in the meantime, Inter are aiming to wrap up a deal for Atalanta's Ademola Lookman. That will cost them over €40 million. Therefore, there are questions about where the cash to sign Leoni will come from. Inter Milan To Fund Move For Giovanni Leoni By Selling Fringe Players MONZA, ITALY – MARCH 15: Giovanni Leoni of Parma in action during the Serie A match between Monza and Parma at U-Power Stadium on March 15, 2025 in Monza, Italy. (Photo by) Tuttosport report that Inter will not sell any big name defenders to finance a deal for Leoni. On the contrary, if the Nerazzurri are to lose either Benjamin Pavard or Yann Bisseck, they will sign a player for the wide-centre-back role as a direct replacement. Genoa's Koni De Winter remains a target. However, Inter are still gearing up to offload some other players not in their plans for next season. The Nerazzurri have already brought in around €10 million from Aleksandar Stankovic's sale to Club Brugge. Meanwhile, Tajon Buchanan is on the verge of joining Villarreal. Meanwhile, Inter are aiming to sell other players like Mehdi Taremi, Kristjan Asllani, Sebastiano Esposito, and Tomas Palacios. And according to Tuttosport, Inter hope to collect the cash necessary to sign Leoni by selling some of those players.

World Cup winner urges Juventus to sign Manchester United's Hojlund and Newcastle's Tonali
Former Serie A forward and Italian World Cup winner Luca Toni has claimed Juventus 'need to hit the gas if they want to catch up and fight for the title', with Liverpool's Federico Chiesa, Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali and Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund names mentioned as ideal reinforcements for the Bianconeri. Speaking in a lengthy interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Juventus and Roma forward said that 'I'd try to get Tonali every day of the week. He is expensive but he transforms your midfield. If I were Juventus, I'd bring back Chiesa on loan. He's out of the project at Liverpool and I would bet on his hunger for redemption.' (Photo by) 'If Kolo Muani pursuit fails, Juventus should try for Hojlund' Juventus are also in the market for a new striker, with Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic rumoured to be leaving the club this summer. The Bianconeri have already added Canadian attacker Jonathan David to their squad, of whom Toni was highly complimentary: 'Numbers are everything for a striker and David's are excellent. I'm curious to see if he can maintain that rhythm in Italy, where there is less space and stronger defences. It will be a good challenge for him. The quality of Yildiz will help. Keeping the Turkish talent feels like a huge signing for Juve, especially these days when it is tough for anyone to resist Premier League offers.' PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – JUNE 22: Kenan Yildiz #10 of Juventus FC celebrates scoring his team's third goal with Khephren Thuram #19, Randal Kolo Muani #20 and Timothy Weah #22 of Juventus FC during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group G match between Juventus FC and Wydad AC at Lincoln Financial Field on June 22, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by) The Old Lady have also been linked with another loan move for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign with the Bianconeri. Toni described the Frenchman as 'a European level striker who already knows Tudor, Juventus and Serie A – it makes sense to go after him again.' However, if a move for Kolo Muani falls through, Toni suggested that 'I would go for Rasmus Hojlund, maybe on loan. During his time at Atalanta, before the move to Manchester United, he gave me really good vibes. I'd go off that, not the struggles he has had in England.' Hojlund had a disappointing 2024-25 campaign with the Red Devils, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League appearances. The Danish forward has been linked with Milan, Inter and Napoli this summer but no concrete moves have been made for the 22-year-old.
