Legendary musical confirms 2026 run at Glasgow's King's Theatre
A new production of Miss Saigon is bringing the acclaimed musical to Glasgow.
The reimagined production will arrive at King's Theatre from June 9 to 20, 2026, as part of a major UK and Ireland tour.
Scottish dates have also been announced for Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
The tour stars Seann Miley Moore as The Engineer, with Julianne Pundan making her professional debut as Kim.

Moore returns to the role following an international tour that earned the Filipino-Australian actor the Critics' Choice Award for Best Performance in a Musical at the inaugural Time Out Sydney Arts & Culture Awards.

Cameron Mackintosh, who oversaw the production, said: "Since we first announced this new production, I have been genuinely delighted at the enthusiasm of the public determined not to miss Saigon, with tickets flying out of the box office and several of the announced cities already nearly sold out.
"We have now completed our search for a really fantastic cast, full of exciting discoveries, that will bring Boublil and Schönberg's extraordinary, powerful musical back to thrilling life.
"I can't wait to see Miss Saigon reborn again."
Other cast members include Jack Kane as Chris, Dom Hartley-Harris as John, and Emily Langham as Ellen.
The musical, which first premiered in London in 1989, has become one of the most successful musicals in history.
The original Broadway run began in April 1991 and lasted nearly a decade, with more than 6.3 million people seeing its 4,097 performances.
Miss Saigon tells the story of 17-year-old Kim, who is forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious character known as The Engineer during the final days of the Vietnam War.
She falls in love with American GI Chris, but the two are separated by the fall of Saigon.
The musical follows Kim's journey of survival and hope as she tries to reunite with Chris, who does not know he has fathered a child.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday said it was not "appropriate" for Irish group Kneecap to perform at Glastonbury, one of the country's biggest and most famous music festivals. Kneecap is due to perform on Saturday June 28 on the West Holts Stage. The government had previously called on the organisers of Glastonbury festival to "think carefully" about the band's planned appearance there. The group has been pulled from a slew of summer gigs since, including a Scottish festival appearance and various performances in Germany. During their performances, rapping in Irish and English, Kneecap often lead chants of "Free, free Palestine" and display the Palestinian flag. The group apologised this year after a 2023 video emerged appearing to show one singer calling for the death of British Conservative MPs. But they deny the terrorism charge and say the video featuring the flag has been taken out of context. O'Hanna, Liam Og O Hannaidh in Gaelic, who has been granted unconditional bail, told London's Wide Awake Festival in May the charge was an attempt to "silence us". The group, which shot to fame with their biting, provocative song lyrics and an award-winning docu-fiction based on them, slammed it as "political policing" and "a carnival of distraction". aks/jj

The 21-year-old conservationist - who is the is the son of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin - recently teamed up with the heir to the British throne after he was was named a Global Ambassador for the Prince of Wales' Earthshot Prize, and ahead of joining forces with him again at the London Climate Action Week, he admitted that the royal is "clearly" dedicated to "putting a spotlight" on the issue. He told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I love being around passionate people, it inspires me. The prince is just that - passionate, curious and thoughtful. I've been fortunate enough to share many great discussions about the things we love about the natural world. And it's clear that he has a profound love for wildlife and wild places. "He knows that he can put a spotlight on people making a real difference. He takes this responsibility very seriously, and he has a great ability to direct attention to where it needs to be.
