Reynolds and McElhenney 'ready to sell their stake' as Wrexham's value soars

Wrexham are gearing up for a season in the Championship and co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are looking to bring extra investment into the Welsh club Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are said to be willing to sell a stake in Wrexham following their promotion to the Championship. Wrexham have enjoyed a remarkable rise since they were bought by Reynolds and McElhenney back in 2021 for around £2million. The club has been promoted three times in four full seasons under the two Hollywood stars, rising from the National League to the Championship; now they are looking to raise additional funds in a bid to help Wrexham go one step further and reach the Premier League. ‌ According to a report from Bloomberg, Reynolds and McElhenney are considering selling a stake in the club for a valuation of up to £350m. Earlier this year, the Allyn family became minority investors, with Wrexham valued at around £100m. ‌ However, the club's profile has risen further following their recent promotion and the report states that Wrexham are now working investment bank advisers to gauge potential interest. A £350m valuation would make Wrexham the most expensive team in Championship, with Sheffield United recently bought for around £111m by an American consortium. Speaking after Wrexham secured promotion from League One, Reynolds reiterated their ambition as he told Sky Sports: "Four years ago, this man [McElhenney] said our goal is to make it to the Premier League. And there was understandably a lot of titters, laughter and giggles - but it's starting to feel like a tangible thing that could actually come to fruition." Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson, meanwhile, is confident the club are ready to make the "huge" step up from League One to the Championship. "I think everybody knows the jump is huge," Parkinson said. "But I'm confident we will be well prepared for that. I think that a lot of tough decisions will be made this summer, in terms of who we bring in and how we add to this fantastic squad of lads we've got, but let's see if we can build a squad to compete at that level. "I think it's interesting because the jump in salaries is incredible, mind-blowing. Even coming up to this level [League One], the jump to get players of Championship quality is expensive but obviously with the next level, I don't think people outside football quite realise. ‌ "They think players in League One must be multi-millionaires, but the drop-off from what people read about Premier League players when they come down is huge. "That is a challenge, but what we've always tried to do is make sure the culture in the club is right and I think that's key - no superstars, no egos in the dressing room and we've got to try and get that balance right again. "You always need extra quality when you go up a level to make sure the right people come into the building." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Top Kremlin figure mocks Trump and Musk by offering to 'facilitate peace'

Ex-Russian President and Security Council deputy head Dmitry Medvedev posted on X that he's willing to 'facilitate' building bridges between Donald Trump and Elon Musk - but there's one catch A key figure in the Kremlin has mocked Donald Trump and Elon Musk's acrimonious fallout, offering to mediate between the pair. The bromance between US President Trump and billionaire Musk seems to have fizzled out for good this week, descending into something reminiscent of schoolboys squabbling. The Tesla owner has been attacking Trump's so-called "big beautiful bill" on his X/ Twitter platform. The president had earlier threatened on his own platform, Truth Social, to hurt Musk's bottom line by going after contracts held by his internet company Starlink and rocket company SpaceX. Now, Ex-Russian President and Security Council deputy head Dmitry Medvedev Dmitry Medvedev has offered to act as a peace-dealing broker. ‌ ‌ Putin's crony pleaded with them not to keep on fighting and even threw in a cheeky caveat for payment. "We are ready to facilitate the conclusion of a peace deal between D and E for a reasonable fee and to accept Starlink shares as payment. Don't fight, guys!," he wrote online. The post ended in a 'shocked face' emoji, further rubbing it. Almost 200,000 people have seen the post and hundreds have commented on it. One cynical user wrote: "In fact, we don't know if this is a ploy to gain American sympathy and boost Tesla sales. With the controversy, Musk appears as a patriot fighting to save national wealth." Another wrote: "People, learn! To give shares is to give power and control. Elon is not giving shares for any other reason except from it, distributing power. He doesn't need money, but allies." A third joked: "But please no secret clause this time that ends with Crimea owning a Tesla showroom." While a fourth added: "Great offer... Got to let them fight a bit then have someone there to pull em apart..." The feud between the US president and the world's richest man reached new heights this week. Trump has even been urged to "deport Elon Musk immediately" amid the pair's ongoing row. ‌ The 78-year-old has also been encouraged to scrap all of the tech billionaire's contracts and launch several investigations into him. Speaking in an interview, Stephen Bannon, the former top aide to Trump, said: "They should initiate a formal investigation of his immigration status." He went on: "I am of the strong belief that he is an illegal alien, and he should be deported from the country immediately." Trump has yet to publicly respond to Bannon's remarks. The comment came after another SpaceX rocket exploded on a test launch in Texas. The president has also hit back at Musk's verbal attack on his government. He insisted that he "doesn't mind Elon turning against" him. Musk quit his role as Trump's advisor after previously admitting he "probably spent a bit too much time on politics".

Redesigned 2026 Kia K4 Spied In California Ahead Of Debut

US-Spec Kia K4 Sedan Spied The 2026 Kia K4 has been spotted on American roads completely undisguised (since we already know what it looks like), heralding an imminent launch for the automaker's surprisingly popular sedan, which has helped Kia achieve remarkable sales this year. Its distinctive design hasn't hurt sales, but the Korean automaker is already making significant changes to its styling, and this test mule appearing on Orange County roads without any camouflage means those changes are almost ready to reach the dealer. New Headlights Give K4 Robotic Look The current Kia K4 has headlights that stretch in three directions: toward the rear of the fenders, toward the bottom of the bumper, and toward the center of the front fascia. Similarly, the rear end has a taillight setup where the housings have both vertical and horizontal bars, which almost creates the commonplace full-width lightbar. For the new model, that quirky design has improved somewhat, as the headlights are now simpler and more upright, which gives us EV9 vibes. At the rear, the taillights now stretch into the fenders, and the horizontal accents have been removed. A pair of small spoilers on either end of the rear windshield also appear to be new. Final Testing Now Underway With minimal white vinyl on elements like the bumpers, door handles, charging port, rear fenders, and side skirts, as well as what appear to be production wheels (missing their center caps, though), this K4 sedan prototype seems like the finished product. Although we've hardly seen the new K4 anywhere on the internet, this may already be our last preview, as the new design is expected to arrive for the 2026 model year. Hopefully, it will retain the attractive pricing of the pre-facelift version, which starts at a scarcely believable $21,990, before destination and handling. With the effects of tariffs still casting doubt on pricing, speculating on how much the MSRP may change is probably fruitless, but a small increase seems likely. If you don't mind the current design (seen below), there will probably be some good incentives for the 2025 model when the 2026 variant arrives at dealers.
