Delhi reports two more COVID-19 deaths; active cases reach 562
Delhi has recorded two more COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the health bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.
A health official said one of the deceased was a five-month-old boy who had cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, pneumonia with sepsis and respiratory problems.
The other person was an 87-year-old man with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and heart and kidney ailments.
With this, the number of COVID-19 deaths in the Capital since the beginning of 2025 has reached seven.
As of Thursday, the total number of active cases is 562, with 105 new cases recorded on Wednesday. According to the Union Health Ministry, Delhi has the second-highest number of cases after Kerala (1,487).
Last week, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that there was no need to panic, as the Delhi government is alert and hospitals are prepared to handle any eventuality.
