Okolie names two-man shortlist for his next fight after Usyk-Dubois undercard win
The former cruiserweight and bridgerweight champion claimed a lopsided points win over Kevin Lerena on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk 's heavyweight clash with Daniel Dubois at Wembley.
He is currently No 1 in the WBC's heavyweight rankings and is one of a number of fighters hoping for a shot at Usyk in the near future.
But Okolie has his sights set on two other contenders before taking on the heavyweight king.
Asked who he would ideally like to face next, Okolie told Sky Sports: 'It would be [Agit] Kabayel. He's the only person who's higher ranked than me with the WBC.'
Kabayel is unbeaten and currently holds the WBC interim belt after knocking out Zhilei Zhang in his last fight.
Okolie is also eyeing a domestic dust-up with Fabio Wardley. His fellow Brit came from behind to stop Justis Huni last month, and Okolie believes the two knockout artists would produce an exciting fight.
'Aside from [Kabayel], it would probably be Fabio Wardley. The reason why that one's interesting is because he's a British fighter, who's [19-0-1 with 18 KOs].
'He's explosive, and it's a fight where I have to be at my absolute best to win. I like that one.'
Okolie suffered a torn bicep in the early stages of his fight with Lerena, but still did enough to get his hand raised as he maintained his perfect record at heavyweight.
He will now need time to recover from his arm injury, yet he's already looking ahead to future fights in boxing's blue-riband division.
Okolie has only lost one of his 23 professional fights when he was beaten by Chris Billam-Smith in 2023.
The 2016 Olympian has since bounced back to secure three straight wins.

David James hopes Alexander Isak can help Liverpool win multiple trophies
Former goalkeeper David James believes Liverpool need striker Alexander Isak to be able to win trophies at home and in Europe. The ex-England international admits the forward may not be 'the most viable signing' due to Newcastle's £150million price tag, but the Reds' long-term interest in the Sweden international shows how valuable they think he could be to them. Manchester United striker hunt down to Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko
Manchester United are weighing up whether to test Aston Villa's resolve over Ollie Watkins or potentially challenge Newcastle for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. United are thought to have narrowed their search for a striker down to Watkins or Sesko even though there would be significant obstacles in trying to land either player. Ruben Amorim is keen to further bolster his attack by adding a centre-forward following the signings of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha for £133.5m after United scored just 44 goals in the Premier League last season. United have been busy exploring the costs involved in doing a deal for Watkins or Sesko and are believed to be carefully considering their options before deciding their next move. Although United have got Marcus Rashford's salary off the wage bill for a season after loaning the England striker to Barcelona, they need to raise funds to reinvest and ease the purse strings. Wingers Alejandro Garnacho and Antony remain two of their most saleable assets. Villa have already issued a hands off warning to United about Watkins, for whom they rejected a substantial bid from Arsenal in January, raising the possibility of a potentially difficult negotiation should they opt to advance their interest. Watkins has the benefit of being Premier League proven, which was a significant part of United's thinking in pursuing Cunha and Mbeumo, but at 29 the England striker would have no resale value. Sesko, 22, would prove a longer-term option and has been on United's radar for a number of years but is still unproven at the highest level. Leipzig are also thought to be demanding at least £70m for the Slovenia striker, who is attracting serious interest from Newcastle. Arsenal had also considered Sesko before pursuing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres instead. Any move for Sesko would place even greater pressure on United to sell. Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia are also surplus to requirements while it remains to be seen if United would accept a bid for Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund, whose preference is to stay at Old Trafford. Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are among the clubs monitoring Sancho's situation although there are no guarantees either side will pursue a deal for the England forward, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford. United are thought to want £18-20m for Sancho given they have already received a £5m penalty payment from Chelsea for backing out of a deal to sign the 25-year-old permanently. Collyer open to loan move Toby Collyer is open to going out on loan from Manchester United this season as the defensive midfielder targets more playing time. The 21-year-old, who was signed from Brighton in 2022, made 13 appearances for United last season. But with competition for places expected to be first at Old Trafford this season, Collyer has revealed how he will sit down with manager Ruben Amorim and director of football Jason Wilcox to discuss the best option for him. 'My feeling at this moment is I want to play,' he said. 'First and foremost, I want to be here and play as many games for Man United as possible. 'I'll sit down with the manager and higher-ups and see what's the best solution, the best way for me to develop, whether it's stay here or go on loan. 'The end goal for me is to play as many minutes as possible here, hopefully starting every week. So yeah, I'll sit down with them and see what's the best solution for that.
