How you like them abs? Ben Affleck roasts Matt Damon over shirtless ‘Odyssey' photos
How you like them abs?
Matt Damon is getting roasted with a little help from his friends.
Ben Affleck couldn't hold back from teasing his longtime pal, 54, for his shirtless pictures while on set of Christopher Nolan's upcoming film 'The Odyssey.'
Affleck, 52, joked that Damon's body transformation was 'the first time he got in shape in his life' while he appeared on 'Today' on Tuesday. The actor was joined by his 'The Accountant 2' co-star Jon Bernthal to promote their new action/thriller sequel.

The NBC morning show then shared a side-by-side photo of a shirtless Damon next to Bernthal, 48, wearing a hoodie.
'Jon has taste, class,' Affleck joked. 'Matt, soon as the first time he got in shape in his life, whipped his shirt off. He was like, 'Who can I show this off to?!' I was like, 'You wanna just hold back a little?''
Last week, Affleck also teased Damon during an interview with Access Hollywood.

'You see, this is the face that's like, they just told him that there were photographers out there so he's like, 'I'm flexing my abs, are you watching me? Take my picture!' ' Affleck said while looking at the photographs.
'I have to say, I have to give him respect,' he added. 'As you get on in life, it's less and less easy to do this, as I can tell you, and he is getting it done.'
Damon was first pictured showing off his rugged look — and long, grey beard — alongside co-star Zendaya, 28, on location in Favignana, Italy in March.

Nolan's 2026 action feature follows Homer's ancient Greek poem, 'The Odyssey,' and also stars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o and Charlize Theron.
The 'Jason Bourne' star is playing protagonist Odysseus and Holland, 28, is portraying his son, Telemachus.
In December, Universal Pictures confirmed the project on X, sharing, 'Christopher Nolan's next film 'The Odyssey' is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology.'

'The film brings Homer's foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026,' the post concluded.
In February, the studio shared a first look, posting an image of Damon wearing armor, a cape and a matching headpiece to Instagram.
'Matt Damon is Odysseus. A film by Christopher Nolan, #TheOdysseyMovie is in theaters July 17, 2026,' the caption read.

Affleck admires Nolan's work, and would love to travel to Italy to visit Damon — who he won an Oscar with for their 1997 drama 'Good Will Hunting.' The pair now run the production company Artists Equity together.
'I may go visit Matt on the set just to watch Nolan direct,' he told GQ last month. 'I'm not even kidding at all.'
Affleck also detailed what it's like for him and his producing partner to take on action roles in their 50s.
'I used to be very gung ho about like, 'Oh, I'll do the fights, I'll do the stunts.' And now I am very much, 'At what point is the stunt performer going to come in and do this?'' he shared at the time.
'It's one of the things I was talking to Matt about — he's going off to do this Chris Nolan movie and doing a lot of stunt rehearsal, and it was kind of like, Boy, it's been a while, hasn't it? Where you really have to go learn the fights — this is Bourne Identity kind of territory.'

Why Did NBC Delete Its 'Dateline' Episode on Diddy?
On May 11, NBC premiered a 'Dateline' episode describing Combs's various past legal entanglements. Less than a month later, the episode has now disappeared both from NBC's website as well as from Peacock, NBC's streaming service. The removal comes as NBC and Peacock face a defamation lawsuit from Combs over a separate news documentary. The Dateline episode, titled 'Sean Combs on Trial,' has been entirely wiped from the networks' official streaming platforms, with only promotional materials remaining scattered online, such as a trailer, a publicity piece, and official social media posts. The episode's logline described it as a 'report on Sean 'Diddy' Combs' life.' The show summarizes Combs's rise to fame and his litany of past legal troubles, culminating with the present trial over charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges and rejected a plea deal. An NBC spokesperson told The Intercept that once the trial began on May 12, the 'Dateline' episode that aired the previous day had become outdated. NBC would not elaborate on which specific portions of the episode had become outdated and warranted the episode being taken down, since the bulk of the program is not about the current trial. Only the first three and last seven minutes of the 41-minute episode focus on Combs's present indictment. NBC also declined to comment on whether or how often Dateline episodes removes episodes because they have become outdated, and what criteria is used before scrubbing a show from NBC's platforms. 'Dateline' episodes that air before trials don't always appear to be removed from the program's official streaming portals. For instance, the fourth episode of the show's current 33rd season, 'The Night of the Nor'easter,' focuses on Karen Read, who stands accused of killing her boyfriend. The episode originally premiered on October 18, 2024 — some three months after Read's initial trial was declared a mistrial; a retrial began in April 2025. Although Read's second trial is presently ongoing, the original 'Dateline' episode remains online despite presenting now outdated information. For instance, the episode mentions that Read's lawyers are appealing a judge's decision to reject their attempt to dismiss several of the charges. The appeal was denied in February 2025, four months after the 'Dateline' episode aired. The 'Dateline' episode that aired two days before the Combs episode, 'The Terrible Night on King Road,' also discusses an upcoming trial. Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of the killings of four University of Idaho students, is scheduled to stand trial in August. The episode remains online on Peacock, although there have been new developments since the episode aired. The case judge issued a document hold order, as the episode contained nonpublic information about the case that the judge believes someone either in law enforcement or on the prosecution team provided Dateline with. Kohberger's attorneys also requested a delay in the trial, citing the 'Dateline' episode. In February, Combs filed a lawsuit against NBC and Peacock, seeking a minimum of $100 million in damages owing to allegedly false and defamatory statements against Combs in another NBC documentary, 'Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.' The complaint was filed three months before the Dateline 'Sean Combs on Trial' episode aired. NBC would not comment on the record about whether the removal of the Dateline episode was related to the defamation lawsuit. Combs's lawyers did not respond to a request for a comment. Dateline continues to host a daily podcast about the trial. NBC has also joined a number of other media outlets in asking the court to allow cameras inside the courtroom. The Combs defamation suit against NBC comes amid a sweep of prominent public figures filing cases against the media. Kash Patel, who was selected by Trump to be the reigning FBI director, previously sued CNN for defamation for claiming that he spread conspiracy theories about then-President Joe Biden. That defamation suit was dismissed, though Patel is now filing a new defamation suit, this time against MSNBC over reporting on the amount of time he allegedly spent at nightclubs. Trump has recently announced that he is suing CBS for defamation, though the threatened lawsuit doesn't appear to have come to fruition as of yet. Parent company Paramount has also reportedly offered $15 million to settle another suit by Trump against CBS for allegedly deceptive editing practices. In court on Tuesday, meanwhile, one of Combs's exes testified that 'Dateline' is Combs's favorite TV show.

Georgetown movie theater hopes to reopen in July. Here's what will be new
It should not be long before the Theatres of Georgetown reopens its doors to Scott County moviegoers. On Monday, the local cinema announced it would temporarily close while the theater switches to new ownership. The theater, at 401 Outlet Center Drive, in the Factory Stores of America outlet mall in Georgetown, was purchased by Republic Theatres, which owns eight other theaters in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The company, based in Loveland, Ohio, also owns Franklin Square Cinema in Frankfort. Anthony Bryson operates the company with his father, Mitch Bryson. Bryson said Republic Theatres specializes in small-market, affordable movie theaters, and its mission is to keep those cinemas alive. 'We've been able to maintain and keep a lot of rural locations open,' Bryson said. 'Being able to give a small town an affordable option for movies just makes it a slam dunk for Georgetown and Republic Theatres.' Bryson hopes to reopen Theatres of Georgetown will reopen in early July. The opening date will depend on external factors, a health inspection and some remodeling projects. The company plans to improve the cinema's seating, give it a new coat of paint and add a self-service drinking fountain and ICEE products. One of the cinema's seven auditoriums is also down because of a projector issue, and Bryson hopes to have that theater open in a few months. 'Our goal is to get the doors open as quickly as we can, not to disrupt the cinema, and then slowly go through and make updates over the next six months roughly,' Bryson said. Bryson said the updates and improvements will cause the prices of some products to increase, while prices for some other items will decrease. Under previous ownership, movie tickets for people between 11 to 61 years old were $8 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday showings after 5:30 p.m., $7 for seniors 62 and older and $6 for kids between 1 to 11 years old. The company also plans to have multiple promotions, including a special on Tuesdays where tickets for all movies, all day long, are $5 for all ages. 'We want something that is going to be affordable, clean and a fun friendly environment for families to be able to go see a first-run movie,' Bryson said. 'We'll be doing updates, but our plan isn't to go in and try to find a way to put in major, large IMAX screens or large recliner chairs everywhere. If we did that, we wouldn't be able to keep it affordable for everybody.' Bryson also hopes to retain the staff who previously worked at the cinema. 'Since we're trying to reopen as quickly as possible, our hope is that the majority of staff are going to want to stick around,' Bryson said. One staff member who won't be staying with the cinema is Dana Jones, who has worked for the theater for more than 20 years. Jones has decided to retire, but she plans to help Republic Theatres during its transitional period with the cinema. Jones began working the concession stand at Theatres of Georgetown in 2001. She quickly moved into a management position in 2002 and held that job for five years before taking an assistant manager job with Regal. In 2009, Jones was approached by Roaden Enterprises after they purchased Theatres of Georgetown to see if she'd come back to work for the cinema as general manager. She took the job and has been there ever since. Jones' final day of work was Thursday, the final day it was open before beginning the transitional period. She said some of her favorite memories at the theater were canned food and coat drives during the holiday season, fun promotions and wearing costumes associated with movies. 'We just tried to have fun with the customers and enjoy the work environment,' Jones said. A promotion Jones can vividly remember is when the cinema premiered 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' in 2011. The cinema had two midnight showings and a huge line of Harry Potter fans lined up outside the door. Members of Jones' staff dressed up as characters from the popular movie series and staged a pretend battle before the showings. 'We did that in both theaters, and the theater just went wild,' Jones said. Jones said some of her favorite parts about her job were the fluidity of the movie theater business and working with younger colleagues. 'Working with the kids has kept me feeling younger, and I think it kept me younger for years,' Jones said. Jones is pleased that she gets to help Republic Theatres as it takes control of the cinema. She likes the leaders of the company based on first impressions and thinks they will do a good job. 'They seem very nice, very hometown type of people, which is what this theater has always been,' Jones said. 'I'm really pleased (with) the company that purchased it.'
