Louis Tomlinson goes official with Zara McDermott with rare heartfelt comment
Louis Tomlinson has appeared to confirm his relationship with Zara McDermott with a sweet comment on social media.
In March the One Direction singer, 33, and the Love Island star, 28, sparked romance rumours when being spotted on a romantic getaway in Suffolk.
The pair were seen together just three months after Zara's split from Sam Thompson, 32, who now seems to be dating another Love Island star – Sami Elishi, 25.
In the past two months Louis and Zara had dropped several hints on social media they were together, firstly when posting similar videos from a concert in Los Angeles followed by a snap of her at brunch with his wrist tattoo in the background.
Since then, they've been snapped in public holding hands and kissing.
They've now seemed to made their relationship public officially with a post that's got plenty of people talking.
This week she shared photos of her sitting smiling at an editing suite.
'In the edit for my new series all about Thailand. I'm so unbelievably excited about this one. I can't believe I've been making documentaries for 5 years now… every year that goes by I feel my confidence in front of the camera, in my producing (and in myself!!) growing so much,' she wrote.
'I feel really proud of this, of our amazing team for creating such a special series with so much depth to it, exploring some pretty serious topics but also capturing the fun too. I learnt SO much making this programme.
'I cannot wait @bbcthree (Thailand will be out later this year after my stalking documentary which will be out this summer).'
Soon after Louis commented: 'Proud of you.'
His comment has since garnered nearly 17,000 likes and over 1300 replies from fans, who said his show of support was 'so cute and supportive'.
Louis' sister Daisy also commented, saying Zara was both 'clever and beautiful'.
Zara, who previously worked for the Department for Education as a policy advisor, appeared on Love Island in 2018 before taking part in The X Factor: Celebrity and joining Made in Chelsea.
But after leaving the E4 series, on which her ex Sam came to public attention, Zara explained how she wanted to make documentaries rather than focus on brand deals and reality TV like many other former Love Island stars had done.
Her first documentary, Zara McDermott: Revenge Porn, which saw her recall the experience of having her nude photos leaked as a teenager, was released in 2021.
Other projects in the years since have included Zara McDermott: Uncovering Rape Culture, Zara McDermott: Disordered Eating, The Idaho Murders: Trial by TikTok and the upcoming Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island.
In 2023 she also appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. More Trending
Meanwhile her ex is known for appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Celebrity Coach Trip, Celebs Go Dating and also won I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2023.
Louis, who was placed in One Direction aged 18, released his debut solo album in 2020 with his second, Faith, coming in 2022.
He and Sam will both be playing for Team England in the upcoming Soccer Aid on June 15 too.

Soccer Aid shirts up for auction with Wayne Rooney's England top just third most expensive behind two celebs
FOOTIE legend Wayne Rooney has been booted into third place in the Soccer Aid shirt auction – by a boyband heartthrob and a rising telly star. The former England skipper's signed shirt is currently sitting at £1,578, but that's still miles behind the top two. 6 6 6 One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is topping the leaderboard with a whopping £5,364 bid for his England top – despite barely touching the ball on the pitch. Coming in second is Bella Ramsey, the breakout star of The Last of Us and Game of Thrones, whose shirt has pulled in an impressive £1,731. But it's not just Rooney who's struggling to get to the top in the footie world – Brazil legend Rivaldo's shirt is number five, with a bid of £809. The former Barcelona man is surprisingly beaten into fourth by Twitch streamer Morgan Burtwistle, better known online as AngryGinge. Even more surprising, though, is the fact there's no place in the top 10 for former Manchester City star Carlos Tevez. Fans have been scrambling to snap up the signed shirts from this year's charity clash, which raised £15.28million for UNICEF. But Rooney's spot behind Louis and Bella has raised a few eyebrows – especially considering he's England's all-time top scorer. It just shows how fast the world of fame moves – especially when you step out of the limelight. Louis has a cult-like following, and his fans are proving they'll do anything to get their hands on his kit. And Bella's fanbase is booming after she has been smashing it on screen. The auction is still live but with bids flooding in it looks like pop power and screen stardom are winning this match. Presenter Aggie MacKenzie pays tribute to 'incredible' and 'fierce' Kim Woodburn Woodburn, whose death following a short illness was confirmed by her manager, would visit dirty homes with MacKenzie on the Channel 4 show, and proceed to clean them, with the duo sharing tips as they went Aggie Mackenzie Kim Woodburn (Image: Channel 4 ) TV presenter Aggie MacKenzie, who rose to fame presenting How Clean Is Your House? with Kim Woodburn, has paid tribute to her co-presenter, describing her as "incredible" and "fierce", after she died at the age of 83. Woodburn, whose death following a short illness was confirmed by her manager, would visit dirty homes with MacKenzie on the Channel 4 show, and proceed to clean them, with the duo sharing tips as they went. In a statement, MacKenzie said: "Kim was a tormented soul, but now she's finally at peace. We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength. "She survived because she had to. I hope she's resting now. She was an unforgettable woman." The highly camp show, with its dramatic music and Woodburn's scolding of the offending homeowners, proved a huge hit, turning the two into overnight stars. The show, which ran from 2003 to 2009, led to book deals and other endorsements, with Woodburn appearing on various reality shows. Article continues below Woodburn appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and was among the line-up for E4's Celebrity Cooking School in 2022. A statement from her manager said: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. "Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. "Her husband, Peter, is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. "We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. "We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. "We will not be releasing any further details." Her husband added in a post on Woodburn's Instagram account: "My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love." She finished in third place on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, when Loose Women star Coleen Nolan won and Irish pop twins Jedward were second. The twins, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, said in a tribute to Woodburn: "Rest in peace Kim Woodburn, you're forever our Celebrity Big Brother friend. "We grew up watching you and to share those memories together, you will be truly missed for the TV gold you created for all generations. "You had our back when we got bullied in CBB and we will never forget that. There will never be another Kim Woodburn." In an Instagram post, the duo posted a picture of them hugging Woodburn on the show. The cleaning guru was regularly challenged over her angry outbursts and controversial attitude during her time in the Big Brother house. Nolan and Woodburn fell out during the show, and Woodburn appeared on Loose Women in 2018 in an attempt to settle their feud but things quickly turned nasty between them. Woodburn broke down as she discussed her traumatic childhood, before walking off the set and branding Nolan "lying trash". The clash sparked more than 3,000 complaints to regulator Ofcom, with the majority being about how the Loose Women panel treated Woodburn. During 2009's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! she was among the final three left in the jungle, with TV chef Gino D'Acampo crowned the winner. She had spats with several campmates, retired boxer Joe Bugner in particular, although the two later bonded. But she also took on some stomach-churning tasks in the jungle, chomping down on a kangaroo's testicle during one challenge while campmate Katie Price could only look on. She also managed to down a witchetty grub smoothie in a cocktails trial, after vomiting it back up on the first attempt. Article continues below Her autobiography titled Unbeaten: The Story Of My Brutal Childhood was published in 2006. She described a miserable childhood spent living between her parents, a succession of children's homes and a convent, before making an escape just before her 16th birthday. But it also described happier times as an adult, including her "wonderfully happy marriage" and becoming Britain's "queen of clean".

New Love Island bombshell arrives and makes telling claim amid recoupling twist
A new Love Island bombshell is ready to stir things up in the villa, admitting he isn't there to make friends as the couples get ready to potentially switch up The Love Island twists continue to come and yet another bombshell is set to rock the villa's equilibrium. With another recoupling ready to take place on the hit ITV2 dating show, another hopeful is ready to enter the Mallorcan abode. The newbie, a 22-year-old US college soccer player from Derby has revealed they are excited to fight for love in the villa. And he has hinted he has his eye on a number of the current girls. Harrison, who currently lives in Florida, admitted he isn't afraid to shake things up to get what he wants. He insisted he isn't entering to make friends. When asked he would feel if he broke up a current match, he confidently confirmed: "That's what I have to do. I'm not here to make friends. If the girl is for me, I'm going to grab that. That's no issue. I'm in there for myself at the end of the day." He added: "There's a lot of girls in there that are my type, it could get a little busy, honestly." Explaining his usual type, Harrison went on: "I need someone who is fiery and got a bit of an attitude. "I don't want someone boring in the corner. I want someone who has got a bit of substance and voices their opinion. Confidence, being family oriented is a big one for me and someone who is ambitious, too." And he also admitted distance wouldn't be an issue, claiming that you will make it work if you like someone enough. However, he warned that he would be immediately turned off if a girl is stuck up or rude. "My perfect situation is for them to come with my family, watch me play and understand - at least slightly - what's going on," he said when talking about his ideal situation. Fans of the show could see sparks fly between himself and previous bombshell, Toni. He added: "I do really like American girls. Their personality is slightly different, in general they're more confident and go for what they want. But I like a challenge, I like a bit of the chase." The new introduction comes after another recoupling is announced, with the boys being tasked with picking this time. Conor receives a text which reads: "Islanders, Tonight there will be a recoupling in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with. #DecisionTime #ShesTheOne" While some boys are clear on the choice, others have a big decision ahead with questions lingering in their mind.
