Greg Monks disappeared after being separated from pals in the party resort of Albufeira in the Algarve on Tuesday night.
The family of a missing Glasgow man who vanished on a stag do in Portugal have launched a desperate plea to locals to check private CCTV and doorbell footage.
Greg Monks disappeared after being separated from pals in the party resort of Albufeira in the Algarve on Tuesday night as he headed back to their apartment on the first night of the trip.

The 38-year-old was reportedly last seen on CCTV in the residential area of Cerro de Aguia, around four miles away from the main club and bar strip where he spent the night with pals. His last sighting was between Tuesday evening and the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Now sister Jillian Monk has called on locals in the Cerro de Aguia area to search their own private cameras and any available ring doorbell footage.
Jillian has taken to a Facebook page for expats and holidaymakers to ask if any residents living in the vicinity can help search for her brother.

"I am now seeking help from residents of the Cerro de Aguia area to please check any home cameras or doorbell footage around 2am and 5am as police believe he was in the area around this time!
"Please share this is you know anyone in the camera. If you have cameras that covers parts of the streets send me a message with your name and phone number."

Portuguese police carrying out the search have scoured local hospitals during their attempts to trace Greg.
Greg reportedly checked in with his pals at the Novochoro Apartments, a tourist resort consisting of 31 units, shortly before he went missing.
The Apartments is said to be just a 15 minute walk to the main strip. However, the apartments are around four miles from Cerro de Aguia where Greg was last spotted - with Cerro de Aguia around the same distance from the strip.

The stag do was due to fly back today after arriving on Tuesday to party in the popular sunshine spot.
Jillian first raised the alarm that Greg had not been seen in a frantic social media post on Thursday.

She said: "My brother has not been seen since Tuesday evening. If you are currently there and have any information place contact me with any info.'
Last night we told how a fundraiser has been launched to help with the search efforts.
Greg's dad has reportedly cut short a holiday in Spain to travel across the border to search for his son.

Gillian McCallum who set up the fundraiser on behalf of his distraught family said: 'Our son Greg Monks went to Portugal for a stag do on Tuesday May 27 and on the first night back out there he never returned to his hotel and has now been missing for three days.
'We are desperately seeking Greg's safe return and need your help.

'There are professional search teams out looking for Greg and the family have all flown out to try to help find him but don't know how long their stay will be.
'They are doing everything they can. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in our efforts to bring Greg home. Thank you for your support and prayers.'
More than £12,000 has been raised to help fund the search.

Cops probing Scots mansion firebombing after Lyons gangsters gunned down in Spain

Officers are investigating whether the incidents are linked. Police are probing a firebombing in Scotland - which took place after high-ranking members of the Lyons crime clan were gunned down on Spanish soil. Key Lyons lieutenants Eddie Lyons Jnr and Ross Monaghan were assassinated outside Monaghan's bar in Fuengirola, in the Costa del Sol, on Saturday night. ‌ And minutes after the masked gunman pulled the trigger and then fled the scene in the same car which had ferried him to the planned execution, a posh Scots home was targeted. ‌ The deliberate blaze took place at an upmarket property in the Renfrewshire village of Bridge of Weir at around 11.25pm and saw emergency services called to the scene. Firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze, which resulted in a window being smashed and the property suffering smoke damage. ‌ Enquiries are ongoing into the Saturday, May 31 blaze, in the town's Kilbarchan Road, and it is being investigated by officers from Paisley CID, who are investigating whether it is linked an ongoing gang war. A number of incidents have taken place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas in recent weeks, with private homes and business premises targeted. ‌ The feud involves the Lyons-linked Dubai-based former Rangers ultra Ross McGill and associates of Edinburgh cocaine kingpin and Daniel associate Mark Richardson. A number of people have been arrested and charged in connection with previous incidents in the feud, which has been plaguing Scotland's biggest cities since earlier this year, following a drug deal. ‌ Detective Sergeant Kenny Taggart said: "The fire was set alight within a residential area and caused considerable distress and alarm to nearby residents. Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries. "I am appealing to anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the local area to contact us. I would ask residents in the Bridge of Weir area and surrounding villages who have video doorbell, CCTV or possible dash cam footage to review it. "It may have captured something that can assist our enquiries." Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 4116 of 31 May 2025. Man arrested after teenager raped in Edinburgh

The 15-year-old was raped in a basement area on York Place, Edinburgh on Sunday, May 25. A 20-year-old man has been arrested following the rape of a teenager in Edinburgh. The 15-year-old girl was targetted by a man at a bus stop on Princes Street in the capital last Sunday shortly before 5am, before being led through the city on foot to York Place. ‌ She was then raped in a basement area on the street before the suspect left on foot towards Dublin Street. ‌ Police announced on Sunday that a 20-year-old man had been arrested in relation to the attack, while inquiries remain ongoing. It follows an appeal from Police Scotland for information over the Sunday, May 25 attack, in a bid to track down the rapist, who was white and spoke with a Scottish accent. Officers said he was wearing a balaclava and had blonde stubble and was wearing a black zipped hoody, khaki green trousers, and Nike trainers. ‌ At the time, Detective Inspector Mhairi Cooper from the Public Protection Unit in Edinburgh said: "This was a frightening incident for the girl and we have specialist officers supporting her and her family. "From extensive enquiries within Edinburgh City Centre, we know the suspect approached her on Princes Street and then led her onto South St David Street, around St Andrew Square, onto Queen Street, then to York Place. ‌ "Despite the early morning there was daylight in this busy commercial area. I am asking people who were within the area at the time and could have seen the suspect alone or with the victim, to come forward. " CCTV from the New Town area is being gathered and checked – I would ask anyone with private systems to check these and submit anything of relevance to us as soon as possible. "We continue to carry out door to door enquiries and I'd appeal to local residents and businesses in New Town who may have premises off street level to check any storage areas or lock ups and report any suspicious items or behaviour to us.' ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
