Winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, June 11, $65 million ahead of Father's Day weekend
Will a $2 Powerball ticket make you a multimillionaire this week? As they say in the lottery business, 'it could happen to you.'
After no one matched all five numbers plus the Powerball in the Monday, June 9, drawing, the jackpot jumped $11 million overnight for Wednesday, June 11. The one-time lump sum cash option would be $29.2 million, according to Powerball online. Check back after 11 p.m. for Wednesday numbers. We'll see if there's a $65 million winner just ahead of a big holiday weekend that kicks off with Friday the 13th, followed by Flag Day and Father's Day.
Powerball drawings are every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, but there is a major lottery drawing on Friday the 13th: Mega Millions.
In case you're wondering, the winning numbers for the Powerball lottery drawing on Monday, June 9, were 30-33-40-43-52 and the Powerball was 25. Power Play was 4x. Although no one claimed the jackpot, there was one big winner: A ticket from California matched 5 numbers for a $1 million prize.

After weeks of rollovers, the last Powerball streak ended Saturday, May 31, 2025, when a ticket in California matched all five numbers plus the Powerball to win an estimated $207 million jackpot. That prize had a cash option of $92.7 million, according to the Powerball website.
Tickets purchased in Florida and New Hampshire also won big, they both matched 5 plus the Power Play for $2 million prizes. The Florida Quick Pick ticket came from Peacock Liquor, 270 N.W. Peacock Blvd., Port St. Lucie.

Powerball drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, including holidays. According to Powerball.com, players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance to match all six numbers. Prizes range from $2 to the grand prize jackpot, which varies.
The next Powerball drawing will be Saturday, June 14, or Flag Day, and a day before Father's Day (Sunday, June 15).
Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days (six months) from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, a winner has within the first 60 days after the applicable draw date to claim it.
The Florida Lottery says its scratch-off tickets and Fast Play game prizes "must be claimed within 60 days of the official end-of-game date. Once the applicable time period has elapsed, the related Florida Lottery ticket will expire."
According to Florida Lottery's website, winners cannot remain anonymous: "Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide records containing information such as the winner's name, city of residence; game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information."
However, the site states, the "names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner."
Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.

Mega Millions jackpot reaches $264M for Friday the 13th, a historically lucky day for Michigan players
If history is any indication, Friday the 13th could be a lucky day for a Michigan resident to take a chance at winning the Mega Millions jackpot. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot stands at $264 million, with a cash option of $117.3 million. While the superstitious consider Friday the 13th a cursed day, through the years, four Michiganders won the Mega Millions jackpot on the "unlucky" day. The four jackpots totaled $171 million in winnings. A Kent County man became the first in Michigan to win a Mega Millions jackpot on Friday the 13th, when he won $57 million on June 13, 2008. A Kalamazoo man followed up nearly three years later when he won $27 million on May 13, 2011. A Port Huron woman took home $66 million on June 13, 2024, and a Waterford man collected a $21 million payday on Oct. 13, 2017. The Mega Millions jackpot was most recently won in Michigan in January 2021, when an Oakland County lottery club took home a $1.05 billion jackpot. It's still the largest jackpot ever won in Michigan. Residents in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands can play Mega Millions. The Best $7,000 TFSA Investments for Canadian Investors
Written by Joey Frenette at The Motley Fool Canada It's the big question on the minds of many new TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account) investors at any given time: what's the best investment to make in today's climate? Indeed, Trump tariff turmoil paved the way for a rather treacherous first half of the year. But with things settling down ahead of summer, investors may have the opportunity to take their time as they examine the broad slate of deals to be had today without having to be panicked over the non-stop negative headlines we saw just over two months ago. Of course, there could be more in the way of negative surprises with tariffs in the second half. However, with China and the U.S. negotiating, it may be unwise to rule out positive surprises as well. In this piece, we'll check out a name that I think is more of a deep-value play going into July. For TFSA investors who are still searching for a name to put their latest TFSA contribution (of $7,000) to work, the following name, I think, could be worth adding to your summer watchlist. As always, do your own research and analysis before putting a sum as substantial as $7,000 on one stock at any given moment. If you're a big investor who's already diversified, the following name may be worth a big bet. However, if you're a beginner investor, I'd argue that spreading your first $7,000 across a slate of names (or exchange-traded funds) would be best. Alimentation Couche-Tard (TSX:ATD) shares stand out as an intriguing pick-up for TFSA investors looking for value, long-term growth, and dividend raises. The convenience retailer has been stuck in the penalty box for about a year now, and I think it's about to skate out of it sometime soon, especially if we get a resolution with the potential deal to buy 7 & i Holdings (that's the parent firm of 7-Eleven). Over the past few weeks, we've had quite a few updates on the proposed deal. We've heard of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) being signed as a signal that a deal could be close, as well as news of shareholders' support to fend off a Couche-Tard takeover. Indeed, things seem to be changing by the month. I have no idea if a deal's still likely at this juncture. Personally, I think it's best to trust the firm's managers as they take their time to make their move. Whichever move it'll be, it's one I, as a shareholder, am supportive of. In any case, I think ATD stock is too cheap to ignore, as too much focus has been placed on the proposed deal, with a bit less attention given to the actual growth opportunity at hand. If Couche-Tard can't have its way with 7 & i Holdings's managers, the company has more than enough cash to take advantage of all sorts of deals. Indeed, the robust balance sheet leaves Couche's value-minded managers in a strong position as they aim to secure some attractive deals to fuel that impressive merger and acquisition-driven long-term growth engine. With a management team that's not afraid to go the extra mile on due diligence, I'd be inclined to buy the stock after any period of seasonal weakness. As the stock recovers from a brief drop into a bear market (a more than 21% fall from peak to trough), I think it could be time to start doing some buying. It's a TFSA mainstay, in my opinion, and it's likely headed higher as the 7 & i saga (hopefully) nears its end in the second half of 2025. 'I guess people don't really think about flowers for Father's Day, which would be awesome if we kind of could, you know, turn that around, because I really feel like it would be a really cool and unexpected gift for a dad to receive flowers,' said Stacy Schapp, Owner, The Flower Mill. USD still weighing decisions with NCAA settlement It's been said that most men don't receive flowers until their funeral. But with options, like this one – complete with a fishing pole – florist Stacy Schapp hopes to change that. 'Most people think of guys just getting ties, tools, whatnot for Father's Day. And honestly, flowers would be a really unique and unexpected gift. And a lot of men enjoy the scent of flowers and getting flowers,' said Schapp. Even though flowers may not be the most popular gift for Father's Day, there are still plenty of gardening supplies for Dad. 'You know, if dad's into gardening and trees and plants and nature, then we're definitely the spot for gifts for him,' said Jamie Ogle, Manager, Cliff Avenue Greenhouse & Garden Center. Father's Day, that's where we're selling more of, like, the trees, shrubs, perennials, houseplants, gift certificates, that type of thing.' Whether it's something for the garden or something in a vase, both businesses have plenty of options for dad. 'Everybody loves to get flowers and everybody enjoys flowers, not just women. Honestly, I feel like guys love them too, and it's just a fun thing to get and a fun surprise,' said Schapp. An poll from Interflora showed that only about 12 percent of men receive flowers in their lifetime.
