Cliftonville on course for Conference League clash with Dublin giants while Dungannon face trip to Liechtenstein
The winners of Linfield and Shelbourne will face Azerbaijan champions Qarabag in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
The first round will be staged at the home of the winners of the All-Ireland clash on July 22/23, with the second leg in Baku the following week.
The Blues are no strangers to Qarabag. In 2019, the Azerbaijan side knocked Linfield out of the Play-Off round of the Europa League on away goals after a memorable two-legged encounter that saw a Shayne Lavery-inspired Linfield record a famous win at Windsor Park.
Qarabag, who reached the league phase of the Europa League last term, will be favourites to progress to the third round, regardless of who wins the Irish derby. The first leg of that clash will be played at Tolka Park in Dublin on July 8/9 with the second leg in Belfast on July 15/16.
If, however, Linfield lose to Shelbourne they will drop into the second round of the Conference League. There they will play either Zalagris of Lithuania or Hamrun Spartans of Malta, with the second leg in Belfast.
Linfield against Shelbourne may not be the only all-Ireland clash of the summer. If Cliftonville defeat St Joseph's in the first round of the Conference League, they will face Shamrock Rovers in the second round, with the first leg at Solitude.
Irish Cup winners Dungannon Swifts went straight into the second round, where they will face Liechtenstein side FC Vaduz, with the first leg at home. Vaduz play in the second tier of Swiss football but qualified for Europe by winning the Liechtenstein national cup.
Should Larne overcome Latvian side Auda in the first round, they will play either Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova or FC Prishtina of Kosovo in the second round. The Invermen will have home advantage in the second leg.
The first leg of the Conference League second round games will be played on Thursday 24 July with the second leg on Thursday 31 July.

Crystal Palace boss expects Eze and Guehi to start on Thursday night
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner confirmed that Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi will start Thursday night's Conference League play-off first leg against Fredrikstad. Despite persistent transfer speculation linking Eze to Tottenham and Guehi to Liverpool, Glasner stated both players are committed and expected to give 100 per cent while under contract. Glasner expressed surprise at the media's focus on their potential departures, highlighting their strong performance in the recent draw against Chelsea. Guehi's contract with Palace runs until next summer, while Eze's deal extends to 2027, with his reported £68million release clause having expired last Friday. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson echoed his manager's sentiments, praising Eze and Guehi's professionalism and dedication to the team.

Rangers' potential Champions League qualifying earnings
Rangers are guaranteed league phase football in the Europa League regardless of the outcome in the second leg against Brugge in Belgium next week. However, there is a significant difference in the UEFA payments for involvement in the league phase of the Champions League and Europa League. Purely considering the equal shares starting fees, which does not factor in performance bonuses and the UEFA value pillar payments, there is a €14m gap. Read more: For winning in the play-off round and advancing to the Champions League league phase, Rangers would bank €18.62m. However, they would not be entitled to any payment for their involvement in the play-off round as that is not paid to clubs that qualify for the league phase. UEFA guidance states: "A team that loses the UCL play-offs will receive no payments for participating in the qualifying rounds (but will receive the UCL play-offs amounts as well as the UEL league phase amounts both coming from the centralised phase distribution)". If Rangers drop out of the Champions League and into the league phase of the Europa League, they would be paid the €4.29m fee for competing in the play-off round. Rangers would also be paid the €4.31m for qualification to the league phase of the Europa League for the 2025/26 season. If Rangers qualify for the Champions League: Champions League league phase qualification: €18.62m Champions League play-off involvement: €0m (payment voided due to qualification for league phase proper) Total: €18.62m If Rangers drop into the Europa League: Champions League play-off involvement: €4.29m Europa League league phase qualification: €4.31m Total: €8.60m
