ITV fans accuse Alan Titchmarsh of 'ruining' garden as foster parents left sobbing

Alan Titchmarsh and his team of gardeners left Love Your Garden viewers in tears as they helped out couple Rob and Margaret Isdale, who have fostered more than 150 children
ITV viewers slammed Alan Titchmarsh and his team for "wrecking" one couple's garden, with the pair breaking down in tears during the emotional reveal.

Alan and the Love Your Garden crew helped pensioners Rob and Margaret Isdale, who had fostered over 150 children during the past 45 years.

Alan Titchmarsh, along with his colleagues Katie Rushworth, David Domoney, and Frances Tophill, began work on the makeover. Alan told viewers he aimed to craft an enchanting area for the pair, drawing inspiration from The Secret Garden.

He said, "I want this new garden to make them feel as cared for as the children who come to their home."
Yet when the grand unveiling moment arrived, programme fans weren't quite as stunned as Rob and Margaret, reports the Express.

The pair wept as Alan presented them with their transformed garden.
"Oh, I can't believe it," Margaret wept whilst Rob exclaimed: "Good grief.
"Do you remember a special book, a special film that Fiona talked about?" Alan asked.

"The Secret Garden," Margaret replied as the TV presenter showed them a special feature in the garden.
Rob added, "I knew it would be special, but this is extra special."

Alan explained: "You did so much for so many other people, so we thought it was about time we gave you something."
Yet some viewers weren't quite as thrilled with the final outcome, with one even alleging Alan had "wrecked" Rob and Margaret's garden. @besidetheriver exclaimed: "Omg! The 'Love your garden' team ruining that lovely garden ... with bricks and concrete! #loveyourgarden No thank you!" (sic).
@lally55p posted: "It's too crowded and busy for me, but as long as they like it... #LoveYourGarden."

@W1966Caroline revealed: "I wasn't sure about the secret garden" before confessing they "loved it".
Meanwhile, @Berniedoll echoed: "The folly was way too much for a garden that size on a modern estate, but what an amazing couple, I hope they really liked it."
Jedimynds remarked: "Omg how precious are Rob and Margaret #LoveYourGarden."
Alan Titchmarsh Love Your Garden is available to watch on the ITV Hub.

Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan shows off painful 'black eye' after surgery

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan - who played Rosie Webster on the ITV soap - showed off her 'black eye' after undergoing cosmetic surgery Helen Flanagan has shown off her 'black eyes' after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The Coronation Street star - who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap - was seen sporting some bruising around her eye in a new post on social media. ‌ The Corrie star has been open about the surgery she has undergone, which at times she has been heavily criticised for. She opened up in 2022 about undergoing a breast enhancement and said it really helped her to get her confidence back. ‌ Speaking a few years back, she said of her decision: "I was quite open here on Instagram in January about my recent boob job. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I've really got my confidence back. ‌ "I breastfed in total for three years. Matilda I fed for eight months. Delilah I fed for 13 months. Charlie I fed for 14 months. As soon as I finished my breastfeeding journey with Charlie I wanted to get them done pretty much straight away. I felt like you could tie them in a bow. I had to wait though for six months after feeding and then I went for it in January." She added: "I don't regret one second of my breastfeeding journeys they were precious times. I was a little bit nervous I was worried they were going to be too big for my frame but they are so perfect for me and so in proportion." ‌ As part of her latest treatment, Helen underwent polynucleotide cosmetic facial surgery in her latest procedure. It is a type of cosmetic surgery, which uses DNA fragments to help to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. It gives a youthful and radiant complexion but can initially cause redness, swelling and bruising where they are injected. In 2019, Helen also decided to have Botox and explained how it has made her feel more confident. ‌ "I felt super tired from having Delilah and I wanted to feel fresher and more confident in myself. I would take pictures on my phone with the kids and would be shocked how much older I looked where in my head I still feel like I'm 20," she said. "I'm so happy with my Botox and if you're like me and still want to look 23, then it's a good idea." Just a few weeks ago, Helen recalled how she was verbally abused by a man on the Tube for standing up for another woman. She explained how the woman had been harassed by the man and when she stood up for the woman, she was verbally abused too. "He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him. He said to me, it was like the weirdest thing he could have said, 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead', and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw,'" she recalled.

World War II series based on 'one of the greatest books ever' is now available to stream

The 2019 drama series features a stellar cast and is a 'wonderful rendering of the classic satirical novel' A "must-watch" World War II series is currently available to stream. The gripping drama features an ensemble cast and is based on "one of the greatest books ever written". Telly fans are being urged to make sure to catch the mini-series while it is readily available, with viewers hailing the "amazing" cast and "wonderful" retelling of the book. Hulu series Catch-22 first appeared on the small screen in 2019, as an adaptation of Joseph Heller's celebrated 1961 novel of the same name. The series follows the journey of Captain John Yossarian (played by Christopher Abbott) and his comrades during World War II as they carry out their duties for their country. Their freedom depends on finishing a set number of operations. Yet, precisely when they approach their liberation, the mission tally is consistently raised, throwing them back into danger, reports the Express. The ensemble cast also features George Clooney as Scheisskopf, Emmy-winning Argo star Kyle Chandler as Colonel Cathcart, Godfather of Harlem's Rafi Gavron as Aarfy, Reacher's Daniel David Stewart as Milo, and Major Crimes' Graham Patrick Martin as Orr, amongst others. One TV fan gave the show a 10/10 rating on IMDb. They said: "Fantastic. The entire cast of this series is amazing. "It has all the drama and humor but not as slapstick as the movie. I've been glued to the TV since it was released. You will fall in love with these characters and the actors who portray them." A second viewer commented: "Wonderful rendering of the classic satirical novel. This is a very enjoyable watch, especially if you read the book and saw the movie. "The acting is superb and the battle scenes are realistic but not too graphically violent. I appreciate a director and writer who do not feel they must gross us out at every turn. It has a nice subtlety and that was lacking in the original movie." Another reviewer praised it as: "One of the greatest books ever written, certainly as an anti-war film." Speaking about Abbott's performance as John Yossarian, they added: "His face is so emotive and he captured the complexity of his character." Wrapping up, they wrote: "For those of you who totally missed the point and were expecting a regular war movie, did you get what the title means?" A fourth viewer hailed it as "a must watch" and said: "Perfect mix of comedy and drama. Made me laugh one second and get emotional the next." Apple TV+ free trial £8.99 £0 Apple Buy Now on Apple Product Description The phrase Catch-22 represents Captain Yossarian's hopeless efforts to escape the battlefield by pretending to be mad, only to discover that those who are truly mentally unstable will continue with their assignments. Beyond his acting role in Catch-22, Clooney worked as an executive producer on the series and directed two of the six episodes. This 2019 version of Catch-22 comes after a 1970 cinema adaptation, with the latest television series securing an 84 per cent fresh score from critics and an 82 per cent approval rating from viewers. Catch-22 is currently available for streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV+. "I'm sorry I never like tried again. I really thought the door was just, like, slammed.' Shakira responds: 'Do you want some home truths… it's obviously the way you go about it and the steps you take in between to come to these conclusions obviously hurt people along the way. "It's all well and good you saying 'hold my hands up guys, sorry' but you still hurt people. And it's a pattern.' Harry then makes his intentions clear, saying: 'Look, I'm either leaving here alone or with you.' Elsewhere, Helena remains confused by Harry's sudden shift and pulls Shakira for a chat. Shakira explains: 'Nothing's changed. There's been no miracle… I was saying I've not let myself heal over the situation and then he was like, 'Same'. I was like, 'What?' "He said, 'I've not processed how I felt towards you, I've hopped into something with Helena.' I don't understand it.' Helena replies: 'No, I don't understand it.' Whether or not they reignite their romantic spark, fans have begged that Shakira bags a spot in the final 'no matter what.' On social media, one person wrote: 'I just want to see Shakira in the final she can break up with harry outside at this point, idc. My girl deserves the final.' A second penned: "Like this post if you will still vote Shakira to make the final or win even if she is coupled up with harry.' And a third said: 'HEAR ME OUT (I don't like harry) but this is the first time he's talking serious, even being serious and it could get our Shakira to the final, so…' Another person echoed: 'Whatever you choose to do, Shakira I fully support you princess. Let's get you to the final.' On Sunday night's episode, viewers will watch as Harry and Shakira get chance to chat after the explosive Grafties. On Friday night, Helena was furious as she watched clips of Harry flirting with exes Emma Munro and Shakira Khan - while they were coupled up. She branded Harry a "f*****g joke" and added: "Shakira doesn't want you, I don't wanr you." Fellow OG Islander Conor told Harry later: "Remember what you have first, with Helena. "I think it's quite rare, to be honest, what you do have with her." Harry replied: "I'll be honest mate - and I know you're probably gonna tell her this. "I think it's more friendly, for me." He added: "I just feel like, with Shakira it was way more natural in my opinion. "It was more relationship-focused, more emotional. I feel like I was way more into her."
